Economy
As Nirkansk needs to import a lot of its resources and products, having a reliable source of money is crucial. Most of it is earned through exports from Vorusnis ( the capital ) factories, via ship or train to surrounding nations. Most of the industry outside of Vorusnis is mostly small scale and agriculture related, being mostly for domestic consumption.

Map of industry ( excluding construction industry)
White line shows the railways

Another significant part of the economy is farming. There are well over a hundred farms, but due to their small size, they are rather inefficient and outdated. About 50000t of grain are harvested each year and most of it goes to the factories of Vorusnis, livestock farms, small scale rural industry and exports. An important resource to farming – fertilizer is produced in livestock farms

Everything is set up in advance, including vehicle routes, distribution offices, technical offices, construction offices, farms, workplaces, etc...

Average monthly income for the state is ~50k rubles in 60’s values, so its best to cut large expenses or invest in more industry.
Transport
Transport in Nirkansk is fairly balanced between trucks, trains and ships, altough the railway network is rather small, only connecting the borders with the capital and third largest city Ežeriai. However, most of the road network is comprised of gravel roads which limit vehicle speeds.

IMPORTANT keep in mind that the railway network is rather complicated, and most routes make use of waypoints by signals, so always check if train routes have signals as their waypoints before altering them as otherwise, the rail network might break down very easily. Especially in Vorusnis and Grūdai.

Another thing of note, is to generally keep an eye on the railway network, as it can be prone to distrubtions.

Distribution offices manage most of the road traffic. The main types of distribution offices are:

Farm - usually delivers grain from farms to storages or small scale, local factories and fertilizer from livestock storages to the farms.

Commercial - Transports citizen goods ( food, clothes, electronics, etc.. ) from local storages to shops.

Industry - These offices take care of local industrial transport.

Fuel - These offices deliver fuel to gas stations in their local regions.

Buses also play an important role in the country, especially in the capital were they deliver workers to its industry. For best efficiency, bus routes often are setup to not pick up or only pick up a part of passengers waiting in bus stops, so be aware of that when configuring those routes.

There is also a limited amount of personal vehichles. Most important thing to know about it, is the fact that most parking lots, simulary to some stores, can be hard to spot. Best to use building type overlay when looking for them.
Construction
There are in total 5 construction office groups which are in Vorusnis/ Anglininkai ( it consists of several construction offices ), Jūrkalnis, Ežeriai, Lentvorė, and one with limited capabilities in Vilkėnai.

Outside of Vorusnis, the construction industry is rather outdated, and they should be one of the priorities in modernization if the nation were to grow.

Services and people
Keeping the inhabitants happy and productive is very important in a functioning state. For this, citizen buildings and services play a very important role. Most of the citizens have access to shops, healthcare, kindergartens and education, although there are some towns and villages who lack some of these services.

However, most people living in rural areas outside of villages, aren’t connected to any services, so they are inactive, until they are in reach of any service or workplace.

Keep in mind, especially in larger settlements, there are many shops which are hard to spot.

At first there might be a small death and unhappiness wave in some regions, and don’t worry, this is normal, it goes away after a short while.

However one very significant problem when playing in Hard or Realistic mode is the loyalty of the citizens, which falls rapidly upon starting the game. To slow down this, its best to build a good amount of monuments around the country and start the construction of a radio station, and secret police as soon possible.

What happens when you don't do that.
Utilities
Electricity – About half of electricity used in Nirkansk is imported from other countries. Its because the electricity network in the nation is very weak and fragile, mainly consisting of 1.20MW powerlines. Updating the electricity grid will be one of the most important tasks if the country were to grow.

Another problem with the grid, is the fact that due to in game limitations, electricity can pass trough a limited amount of transformers, afterwards the buildings don’t receive electricity.

Water and Sewage – Most large towns have their own water treatment and waste disposal facilities, and plumbing systems. Many towns and villages also have wastewater plumbing, however usually going to a local pond on river, that would cause pollution if the population were to drastically rise.

Besides that, pretty much every house in rural areas have their own water and sewage well.

Heating - Only the capital has heating plants, all other settlements rely on people heating themselves. There are a few buildings in those areas with no heating, but it shouldn't cause too many problems. But its best to build heating plants for larger towns when possible.

Waste - Most larger setlements have their own garbage dumps, but since the trucks have to go to each house to collect the garbage, it is rather inneficient. Furthermore, the dumps aren't very large, so its best to build incinerator plants in the near future.
Other
If you have played my previous map – Dubysa Valley, most of the things stay similar, but there are few major changes:

The farming system – it is already set up from the start, and distribution offices now deliver grain from farm to storage, instead of from the fields.

Water and sewage systems – more towns will have plumbing, and as mentioned previously, every house outside of setlements, has its own wells, putting pressure of the technical offices, which used to struggle in Dubysa Valley

The map itself – compared to Dubysa Valley, Nirkansk is more industrialized and denser

All of the workplaces and civil buildings are opened from the start as opposed to the previous map, where every building would have needed to be manually set up to start life in the country.

Have fun : )
