Freely Adjustable Loot Quantity & Quality

Freely customize the multiplier for the amount and quality of loot.

Usage

Press Ctrl + F1 by default to open the settings interface.

Press Alt + F1 after entering a map to check the current loot status for that location.

All hotkeys can be reconfigured within the settings interface.

Hold the C key for 10 seconds to reset all hotkeys to their defaults.

Laptop Users: If the keys don't respond, try holding down the FN key while pressing them.

Multiplier Modes

Different maps have different base loot rates. You can switch the mod's multiplier mode:

ON (Multiplicative): Applies your multiplier on top of the map's base rate.

OFF (Absolute): Ignores the map's base rate and directly sets all loot to your specified values.

Important Notes on Settings

Quantity Multiplier: This is an exact multiplier.

Setting it below 1 may cause issues (e.g., not enough Feathers to spawn a Totem).

Quality Multiplier: This is NOT an exact multiplier. It's a subjective value.

A value of 200 feels like mostly high-tier loot everywhere, with some low-tier items still appearing.

Values much higher than that will likely spawn almost exclusively high-tier loot.

Experiment in the comments to find values you like! I've simply exposed the devs' internal values for you to tweak, but I won't provide extensive support for finding the "perfect" setting.

Multiplier x4:
Average quality is purple and yellow, with numerous red ones in the mix. Grey and green mostly absent.

Multiplier x5:
Almost nothing but yellow and red. Lower qualities are rare exceptions.

Multiplier >5:
Pretty much nothing but red stuff, with the occasional ultra-rare purples and yellows thrown in.

It's important to mention that any value of 5 and higher is great for money farming, but actually detrimental to the rest of the gameplay. Ammo boxes for instance gonk out completely, spawning nothing but dynamite bundles and AP arrows for some reason. Many items you need to level up skills are of grey, green or blue quality, so these stop spawning entirely on this setting. I found values of 1 or 2 the most enjoyable to play, depending on what I was farming at the moment.

Just thought I'd share my observations on the quality values here, based on numerous J-Lab runs (and no, you don't need to restart the game after changing the parameter, but you do need to load a new map).

Quality colors are as follows, with ammo quality for reference:
Grey (rusty) -> green (standard) -> blue (AP) -> purple (advanced AP) -> yellow (no ammo of this level) -> red (special AP)

Multiplier x1:
Vanilla setting, more or less. Green and blue items seem to be a bit more prevalent, but this could also just be due to standard RNG fluctuations.

Multiplier x2:
Average quality is green and blue, with more purple, yellow and red where applicable.

Multiplier x3:
Average quality is blue and purple, with more yellow and red where applicable. Green items become rare, grey items are almost entirely gone.

any idea what the default loot quality is for the game? The mod default is 20 but that just keeps giving me whiskey from food crates. Also, it seems that you need to restart the game for changes to work.
