Water Gate（水门）

Sadly, despite the better looking of the granite gate, we cant use it on cold biomes cuz brine will completely freeze. Mod looking better now, i just wish you could rework the gates so we can use ethanol+something else like oil to use em on cold biomes.

TetsuRemo Ethanol is not an early game liquid. Sure it can be harvested from seals, but until you can actually build a sustainable setup for em and bonbon trees, it can take many many cycles. I usually use the same ethanol produced by seals to make a cooling loop for my bonbon trees. The ethanol produced by seal is barely significant you need tons of em.. so it takes A LOT of time.

For a cold based gate what about ethanol and liquid carbon dioxide? Obviously not useful most of the time but more of a specialized option.

@Igawa Asagi 设置里只能改最底下那层的质量（2，3，4格这三个水门），上面部分现在是固定的。四格的乙醇是我漏掉了，现在应该没问题了。

大佬，四格水门的乙醇量太大了有120g，导致乙醇会流向两边，在设置里调整最底层的量也没用，四格水门里乙醇一直是固定的120g，可以把乙醇的量改小一点吗

@n3mes1s I don’t want to ruin the gameplay experience, so liquids unlock gradually with tech progression. The liquid in the 2-tile water gate can be obtained early, so it’s in the initial tier. Since the Printing Pod can spawn Oilfloaters and ethanol can be produced from Seals, I think crude oil, petroleum, and ethanol are all early-game liquids.
I really like ethanol’s color, but I avoided using DLC liquids like Nectar or Mercury to keep it compatible for players without the DLC. Instead, I used concentrated brine, which also looks great.Are you suggesting I remove one of the 2-tile water gate categories and keep only the crude-oil-and-ethanol combo?
If your liquid collapses, it’s likely because the bottom mass is too high without tiles around it. If you use it with open sides, set the slider to 0.03 (30 g) in mod settings — this keeps liquids stable even without blocks. I set the default to 111 g since I often use the “凹” double lock.

@n3mes1s I just checked the freezing points on the wiki, and besides the new DLC stuff, Brine freezes at -22.5°C - that should be totally fine. I think the one you mentioned with the super low freezing point is actually Salt Water, which freezes at -7.5°C.
