STEP 1:
Go to this directory: C:\Users\YourUsername\Documents\Battlefield 6\settings\steam

STEP 2:
Right click and open the file named PROFSAVE_profile with Notepad.

STEP 3:
Press CTRL+F to bring up the search function and type in GstRender.WeaponDOF, and press enter.

STEP 4:
Once you locate it, change the value from 1 to 0, and save the notepad.

STEP 5:
To make sure that any future updates don't revert our config, right click the file we just modified, go to it's properties and make sure that you enable Read-Only. That's It!

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Any changes you make to your settings in-game from here on out, every game launch will revert them back to the previous ones you had when you enabled Read-Only, so make sure to set everything the way you want it to be and then disable GstRender.WeaponDOF.

Personally, I was not bothered by DOF blur until I started having persistent bug with 3x scope where everything inside scope view would get blurry for no reason. And disabling DOF helped me fixed that. Additionally, after removing blur I noticed how lack of DOF made it easier on eyes and surprisingly less distracting wheres I thought it would be otherwise.

Every time I start the game, it resets my read-only flag and does not change the file or apply it to the game. For example, GstRender.WeaponDOF, as I entered 0, remains 0 and it works, but if I want to apply the same DoF to the vehicles as to the infantry, my settings are not applied and the DoF remains as specified in the game. It worked once, but now it doesn't work anymore. Only what I specify in the game itself works. The same applies when using the read-only flag during the game. The game will ignore the file settings. For example, if I change the FOV in the game, the file will remain unchanged, but the game settings will be applied... Does anyone know how to fix this?

I found it in the config but when turned off the game refused to lunch, it says the config is corrupted and warrants a reset.

This removes the DOF from the sight, but your surroundings still has a disgusting DOF effect. Everything is blurry. Why can't we turn that off?

When you look far enemies with sniper scopes there was a blury vision and I fixed it for myself by changing the "FIXED RESOLUTİON SCALE" from 100 to 160. It's worked for me and there's no fps drop. (it doesn't have to be 160 just set it above 100 )

@OrphanShredder, Probably need to have Show hidden files and folders.

I hope this disables the infuriating bug that also blurs the ACTUAL SCOPE area when you ADS...

OrphanShredder - You might have checked the wrong User folder, dig into all users in C:\Users\ until you find a Documents folder that's filled.
