It Can Be Worth It To Follow The Crowd
Okay, we get it, voice chat is scary. You don’t know most of the people in the lobby, and making new pals isn’t easy, no matter your age. But what if you toss those inhibitions aside and hold down the push-to-talk button just for a few seconds, just long enough to coordinate with your squad?

The results? A potential win! If you coordinate with your squad, or better yet, the entire team, you might find it easier to secure an objective. You could prepare a flanking maneuver, provide overwatch as a Recon, or lead the charge with a tank as infantry uses the vehicle for cover before pouncing!

The point is, though many folks have a singular mindset when playing a team-oriented first-person shooter, your priority should be to play the objective by teaming up with those around you.

That said, if you're the type who is easily overwhelmed by constant voice chat (Who can blame you?), there's a setting to automatically mute voice chat entirely under Settings > Audio. That way, you can pay attention to the flow of the map and the people you should help when pushing the next objective.
Don’t Give Up When Downed... Unless You Should
We live in a society in which instant gratification is the norm. But when you go down in Battlefield 6, you have two options: wait for rescue or respawn. If you choose the latter, it removes one ticket from your team, thereby punishing your team.

Conversely, if you wait for someone to resurrect you, you won’t lose a ticket, and you’ll stand back up and rejoin the fight. However, consider where you went down before you spam that 'Request Revive' command to your entire team. If you're too far from an objective or, more importantly, too far from your squad, sometimes it's better to respawn, take the lost ticket, and regroup with your pals.

Alternatively, if you want to play the healer, the Support class isn't the only medic on the field. You can heal your squadmates, albeit slowly, and even drag your fallen comrades until you're in a more suitable position. You'll feel like a genuine hero pulling your squadmate out of the line of fire!
But Where to Spawn?
Let's assume you listened to our previous advice about respawning when you're needed elsewhere. First off, thanks! Second, picking where to respawn is now your next step.

Most new players will likely want to dive straight into the fray. Awesome! But where?

If you have squadmates, it's usually best to spawn on one. Not only do they receive a nice XP boost, but you'll wind up close to the action, usually in a flanking position, and nearby a squadmate who, chances are, knows what they're doing!
Spot Enemies
You’re working with your squad and, more importantly, with an entire team to capture objectives and stop the enemy team from taking home a win. To that end, it’s vital that, should you spot an enemy you can’t take down, you call them out! BF 6 has a great nonverbal way for you to help out with this.

To spot enemies, press Q on the keyboard or L1/Left Bumper on the controller. You’ll tag the enemy for your entire team, though it won’t last. It’ll mark the foe with a red icon, alerting nearby players to the problem on the minimap, allowing someone else a chance at flanking or taking a shot.
When All Else Fails… Boom!
Battlefield 6 features an impressive destruction engine that’s completely player-driven, meaning you have control over how utterly wrecked the battlefield turns out by the end of a round.

Is an enemy holding down a particular vantage point overlooking an objective? Pull out an RPG or chuck a grenade through the window to blow out the wall and remove their cover.

Alternatively, think strategically. Let’s say there’s an objective you’re trying to defend, but you want to remove a point of entry. Destroy the environment to force attackers toward a single chokepoint, which is hopefully held down by an LMG-wielding Engineer.
Choosing the Right Class While Solo
A lot of us play solo, and that's completely okay, so long as you're considering our above-mentioned tips about playing the objective and working with your squadmates. But to that end, how can you excel on the battlefield? By picking the right class to help!

In this case, it's recommended that you choose Engineer. While the Assault class is, of course, more straightforward as a frontline fighter, it's the Engineer who helps the team out most of all. With a fast-firing submachine gun capable of dominating in close-quarters engagements, which happens frequently, and an RPG to take down light vehicles and medium armor with relative ease, you can and will assist your team in taking objective after objective.
Choose Your Attachments Wisely
Battlefield 6 features pretty intense recoil in most of its weapons, especially the fast-firing assault rifles and submachine guns. Do what you can to control recoil by equipping an underbarrel attachment to your rifle, like a handgrip or a bipod on an LMG or sniper rifle.

Once you unlock a few underbarrel attachments, test them out in the Firing Range to see which one you prefer.
New Players, Go Ahead and Jump in That Vehicle
Seriously, no one is judging you for ducking down behind the wheel of an armored vehicle in Battlefield. In fact, you'll likely help your team, acting as mobile armor, fire support, and a respawn point.

As a new player, you want something bulky, with plenty of armor and firepower, and that means a tank!

As a tank commander, you gain access to the vehicle's main gun—a powerful cannon capable of one-hitting infantry, taking down small groups, destroying cover, and, if you're a careful shot, popping helicopters out of the sky. Just be wary of other tanks, and remember to use the Engineer's Repair Tool to remain in the fight!
Use XP Boosters and Modifiers
On the main menu, in the top right above the mode selection tab, you'll find a section called 'XP Boost.' If you select this, you'll open a new menu filled with XP Boosters and Modifiers that you've unlocked by completing various challenges, such as reviving squadmates, resupplying teammates, or disarming objectives in Rush.

If you have a booster, go ahead and activate it before jumping into a round. The XP boosts will help you level quickly, unlocking new weapons and attachments as you progress.
Hate Campers? Avoid These Maps
There are a handful of maps in the game that act as a sniper's heaven. These include:

Liberation Peak
New Sobek City
Operation Firestorm

Really, any map can play host to a camper, but these three maps offer extensive sightlines, vertical hangouts, and plenty of open space to sprint across, making you easy prey for the trained armchair sniper.

So, if you hate dealing with a camper hiding on the edge of the map, avoid these three maps for now.
