The wording for this achievement simply says that you need 10+ of a single animal in order to get it. This is misleading. You need over 10 of this animal, AND they must all be valid scoring in order for the achievement to pop. I achieved this with two runs of salmon on my board in a Solo game, with a total of 11 salmon between the two runs. Trying to do this with ALL of the salmon in one run didn't work for me, because to score the salmon, it only scored the first 7 in the run as being worth points.
