Description
  • This mod makes many changes mostly to the campaign of the Riftbreaker. The general mod idea is to make you travel earlier instead of hogging ten thousands of resources and researching all the tech
  • In particular, it skips all the scouting missions and goes straight to the acid, desert and maga resource outpost missions
  • You cannot research HQ lvl 4 and better tech until having finished at least one of the outpost missions. And HQ lvl 5 is gated behind having all three outpost missions finished
  • You can only create a handful of storage depos (5k resources+HQ storage). More are unlocked with higher levels of rare mineral mining (No indication in the UI for that yet!)
  • A lot of the Ashley/Riggs dialogue has been removed because after hours of testing I just could not stand it anymore
  • The mod also heavily revamps the campaign research tree. Research no longer costs any resources. Many technologies are bundled so you do not have to spend hours in the research menu anymore

This mod is heavily balanced around my "Ambient Attacks" mod. If you stay on the HQ map for too long then you will get overwhelmed and will not have the proper tech to fight back.

Warning: Despite a lot of testing this mod is prone to game breaking errors - if a mission or tech is not unlocked properly. Enjoy and help to test this please!

Ok so HQ lvl4 is now unlocked like before (check if any map is completed using "OR" logic node) and it is unlocked whenever you finish any of the main outposts. So it is done redundantly in 4 spots. I hope that helps. The HQ lvl5 requirement is now completely gone.

For my playthroughs the urgency is coming from my Ambient Attacks 2.0 mod anyhow.

Cant help with the coop stuff. That is a mystery on its own. But I will try to add more fail-safes so HQ lvl 4 will be unlocked reliably.

Sorry my bad, it's HQ lvl 5 that is problematic, i've missspoke in the last comment.
It was a co-op campaign.

One more thing, the cheat for unlocking all buildings only worked for the admin (host).

Hmm even with level 4 already. That should only require a single outpost to be finished. Did you play coop or singleplayer? I have never played coop and have no idea how mods affect it.

The issue was with HQ lvl 4 not being unlocked after building outposts on all 3 biomes.
That aside, think this mod is awesome and not sure i'd have the stamina for the regular campaign.
As per your suggestion, i used cheats to circumvent the problem and finish the game.

I have updated the mod so HQ lvl 5 isnt gated by completing the three main missions anymore. However, lvl 4 still requires you to finish any of the three campaign missions.

I have also removed several towers and weapons from the game that I found redundant because one of my biggest issues with the game is that it is so bloated with redundant stuff

Thanks for the feedback. Is it only HQ lvl 5 that isn't unlocked or also HQ lvl 4?

As the mod says, it provides streamlined campaign. Research tree makes more sense, there are less repeatable conversations and unnecessary dialogue, the pace is better, more relaxed, which I liked. The only problem is with the bug already mentioned in the comments. When I joined in a coop, even using cheat codes didn't work for me but worked only for the host (he could create new stuff from the research).

Sorry to hear that. Will have to revisit the mission flow. Your game is messed up either way. You can only unlock the research via cheat from here.
