Welcome to our Toukiden 2 Mitami Reference Guide. This guide is meant to serve as an English all encompassing list for the game’s Mitama that includes all the necessary information, as well as pictures, compiled in an easy to find Steam guide. This list will NOT include Japanese exclusive or otherwise unobtainable Mitama from promotional material.

Due to Steam's character limit per section, we've had to make a large number of additional sections which had made the sidebar particularly large and unwieldy. We recommend if you're looking for a specific Mitama to use CTRL + F to search for it.

We've also compiled a Google Doc version[docs.google.com] of this guide for anyone who'd like to download a copy.


This guide is a collection of several different resources compiled together for convenience as complete English resources for the game are hard to find. While much of this information is directly taken from the game itself we did cross reference other resources;

Most importantly WolfinsLight’s[gamefaqs.gamespot.com] Mitama Google Sheet[docs.google.com]. Most of the links to this resource have become broken though we eventually were able to find a functional updated link. We attempted to reach out for permission to use the document, but the Gamefaqs account is inactive since 2018. We've decided to include the link as it hosts information this guide will omit including some Japanese DLC exclusive Mitama, Build Recommendations, and XP requirements.

For newer players it is recommended to play the tutorial for each type of Mitama to get a gameplay feel for each one; You can find these tutorials by speaking to the rightmost attendant inside the Command Center in Mahoroba Village. Here you can crash test any of the different Mitama types even if you do not own a copy from that specific type.


As a player you can equip three Mitama directly; One to your Weapon, one to your Armor, and one to your Demon Hand. As Seen Above. You can access this menu from the pause menu, but you may only edit your equipped Mitama when in a safe place such as Mahoroba village.


Depending on which slot you equip a Mitama to, certain “Boosts” will become available. As seen above, skills that are Inactive with the current Mitama slot will be labeled as such (meaning they do not work for the current slot you have the Mitama equipped to), meanwhile skills you’ve yet to unlock will be grayed out. Furthermore you can see the ‘spoke-like,’ stars next to each skill, these indicate what level the skill is currently. Some skills only level once while others can up to three times. Our guide will always tell you how to level up a skill but you can always check by highlighting it in this menu.

(Note that when a Skill from a Mitama says “Does not stack,” it refers to itself. Eg. Heavenly Blow and Prodigious Talent will stack, but two copies of Heavenly Blow will not. In our guide, skills that do not stack will be labeled with [DNS])


Sometimes Miatama will offer unique Boosts when you combine certain Mitama with shared history and bonds. These Mitama will be labeled with a special mark as seen above. More details about these Boosts and what Mitama are required for them can be found under the “Combination Boosts” section of this guide. There is another icon that looks similar though it is only used to denote your Mitama have a lore connection but they will not yield a unique effect as seen below. Also seen above is a star next to ‘Ki No Tsurayuki’, this means that every one of this Mitama’s Boosts have been leveled up to maximum, meanwhile the small E next to ‘Izumo no Okuni’ means that Mitama has been equipped.




There is one more use for Mitama, and that's equipping them to a Tenko. During the story you will unlock the ability to befriend Tenko by doing Joint Commissions in the world. After completing these commissions alongside the Tenko you can find them back in Mahoroba village. When you interact with them you will see the menu above, and once the affection bar is at 3 hearts you will be able to share a Mitama with the Tenko. By doing so, whenever you bring the Tenko into Free Roam with you they will be able to use the abilities provided by the Mitama at random intervals. To increase a Tenko’s affection, feed it either a Fox Rice, Tenko Lunchbox, or a Gorgeous Tenko Lunch to bring it into Free Roam, and then interact with it when prompted randomly. These lunches can be purchased from the merchant.

Generally most Oni drop 4 different Mitama; 2 in Normal and 2 in Expert. Of these pairs one is usually more common than the other. To collect Mitama it is recommended to Pray at Kuon in Mahoraba Village using a Sacred Branch as one of her prayers is called the ‘Kindred Prayer’ which grants you a higher likelihood of obtaining a Mitama from an Oni. Furthermore she also offers a second prayer called the ‘Growth Prayer’ which will help you level their skills up. You can have both prayers active at once.


Lastly, sometimes when you fully max out a Mitama’s skills you’ll receive a letter at your house addressed to you by Kuon with the title of “To Unite (Mitama Name)” as seen above. Some Mitama once you've collected all their skills and completely leveled them up will give you a Mitama shard. These shards can be used to create weapons by reforging other ones with the shard material. A list of what Mitama offer shards can be found under the “Mitama Shards” section.

Might (7) - Increases Attack for a limited time.
Leech (7) - Steals an Oni’s Health for a limited time after landing an attack.
Carnage (2) - Makes all attacks precision strikes for a limited time.

Evasion Skill - Immortal
Prevents you from becoming incapacitated for a limited time.
Conditions: Receive damage from the enemy and become incapacitated.

Attack Skill - Luminescence
Powers up your attack techniques and increases your Attack for a limited time. While active, the red portion of your Health Gauge will not refill automatically.

A Mitama specializing in defense. The Defense Gauge fills during the Ritual of Purification, and is depleted as you take damage, taking the place of Health until empty.


Taunt (8) - Increases Defense for a limited time, and attracts the Oni’s attention.
Shield (8) - Fills the Defense Gauge, and increases its max level.
Barrier (2) - Nullifies all attacks for a limited time.

Evasion Skill - Solidity
Reduces damage received for a limited time.
Conditions: Receive damage from the enemy.

Attack Skill - Onslaught
Converts a portion of your Defense to Attack for a limited time.

A Mitama focused on swift, agile attacks. It reduces your Focus Gauge consumption for a variety of actions.


Energy (8) - Increases movement speed and the refill rate of the Focus Gauge for a limited time.
Agility (8) - Enables a one-time nullification of any incoming attacks for a limited time.
Vigor (3) - Increases attack speed and reduces the amount of Focus consumed for a limited time.

Evasion Skill - Acrobat
Reduces the amount of Focus consumed when dodging, and allows you to dodge while attacking for a limited time.
Conditions: Perform a dodge while attacking.

Attack Skill - Mirage
Creates a mirage of your character that attacks the enemy for a limited time, although it increases your Focus consumption while active.

A Mitama specializing in healing and recovery. Land an attack on an ally to heal that ally’s status ailments, and improve your own recovery ability.


Zeal (10) - Restores the Focus of you and any nearby allies for a limited time.
Vitality (7) - Creates a field which gradually heals you and any allies within it. The field’s power will continue for a limited time.
Panacea (2) - Restores the Health and Focus, and cures any status ailments or incapacitation, of you and any nearby allies.

Evasion Skill - Auto-therapy
Restores your Health.
Conditions: Enter a near death state

Attack Skill - Exertion
Consumes a portion of your Health to add additional damage to each attack for a limited time.

A Mitama specializing in ranged attacks. It uses the Spirit Gauge to augment your Skills. Fill the Spirit Gauge to add additional damage to attacks with your weapon.


Pursuit (12) - Compresses the power of the spirit, then fires a homing blast at the enemy. The last attacked spot will be targeted.
Fountain (9) - Causes an eruption of spirit from beneath the feet of the Oni. The last attacked Oni will be targeted.
Eruption (3) - Controls the spirit within the Oni’s body, triggering an explosion. The last attacked spot will be targeted.

Evasion Skill - Curse
Places a field beneath an Oni grabbed with Demon Hand that restricts its movements. The field's effect lasts for a limited time.
Conditions: Perform an Oni Grapple.

Attack Skill - Illumination
Uses the strength of an Oni's soul to expose the life force of a body part. The last attacked spot will be targeted. While active, the damage against other body parts is reduced.
