Introduction
The horde beacon, or Beacon of the horde, as its dramatically renamed in limestone, is a good way to get certain resources, specifically concrete, titanium, adamantine, craftable weapon parts and cobalt powder.
If you place a horde beacon in limestone, it will spawn 74 zombies with red eyes from the spawns available in the area of the map you placed it on and 1 final armored mega zombie with a rock throw attack. If you defeat all of these zombies, you will get 17 items from the following loot table: https://restoremonarchy.com/players/browser/limestone/item/beacon/22301

Shoutout to RestoreMonarchy, their website is really useful!

If you instead die, get far from it, place it in an invalid spot or have it destroyed, you will lose the beacon and get no loot.
Part 1: Crafting the beacon
The horde beacon doesn't actually require materials that are very expensive or hard to get, its more of knowing where to look.

Walkie-talkies
The walkie-talkies and military transcievers (aka the Oversized military walkie-talkie, as the item description says) are obtained in about the same way: loot and kill zombies in police/military locations. Some good spots are redline overpass, warden complex, overseer facility and the pinehurst police station or military-occupied school.

Gold bars
Despite being a pretty rare resource, getting gold wont be a big problem since it is only used in horde beacons and... musket ammo and a healing item, for some reason? Anyways, the main way to get gold is at a specific location: The upper floor of the pinehurst police station. You will need a crowbar to open the door and enter.
This room has a few pistols, some armor and helmets, but most importantly: a guaranteed gold bar that respawns.
If you cant seem to find a crowbar or someone got to this spawn before you, there are some other ways to get a gold bar:
-Digging spots marked with white flags, which has a 1.6% chance to give a gold bar in normal parts of the map and a 4.6% chance in deadzone.
-Hunting a gnome and opening the gnome sack they drop, giving you a very good chance to get a gold bar.
-If this isnt your first horde beacon, checking your beacon loot for a gold bar, since theres a good chance the beacon actually gives you your gold bar back in its loot.
-Opening animal stomachs and praying to hit the comically low chance to get a gold bar.

Electronics and reinforcements
To get electronics and metal, all you need to do is break items around the map, specifically electronics, like microwaves, fridges, toasters and the sort, and fire hydrant lockers, which will give you a fire hydrant which you can scrap to get a stack of metal. You can also scrap some kinds of sights to get electronics.

Tools
Just look around construction zones. One trip to greenhill resort is most likely to net you these.
Part 2: Getting armed
In order to beat the horde beacon, you will need weapons. Now, while you could just use normal guns (i recommend the bloodhound and honey bee), that will require a lot of ammo, good attachments, repairing the guns after each beacon... also thats just plain boring. I instead come to you with an interesting proposal: the valkyrie overlander.

Finding a valkyrie overlander
You can find a valkyrie overlander in the silly river airport, near the runway and military tents. This is a pretty fast and reliable vehicle, with a lot of storage, health, and a mounted machine gun.

Getting machine gun ammo
It doesnt matter how good this machine gun is, one mag wont be nearly enough to finish all of the waves of the horde beacon. This is why you get more ammo for your machine gun, which you can get from 3 spots in pinehurst:
-The small military checkpoint near the city, in this cabinet:

-The military-occupied school rooftop, in this other cabinet:

-The tower of the church outside of pinehurst, in this additional cabinet:

These cabinets will each give you one almost full machine gun mag, so if you go trough them, you will have 4 machine gun mags, which actually probably will be enough for a horde beacon if you are playing on normal! If you are playing on hard, i would recommend doing a few more passes after the cabinets reset to get more ammo.
Part 3: Placing the beacon and fighting
Once youre done getting weapons to fight, youll need to decide where to fight. Now, while generally theres a lot of spots where you could do the horde beacon, my personal favourite spot is this one:
Its flat, on a mountain, all the zombies spawn about in the same place so they will walk to you like a conveyor belt, and its easy to put the horde beacon in a place where it doesnt get destroyed! (Unless it starts raining and zeus decides to destroy your beacon)
Just drive your overlander up the mountain, place the beacon behind it, press F5 to get in the gunner seat and then its just pointing and shooting for a while.

A few other tips:
-If a zombie gets too close to your vehicle, you will have to leave the vehicle to shoot them or melee them. Luckily, this spot actually makes zombies come quite slowly, so it wont be a big problem.
-When the mega zombie appears, try to get out of the vehicle before they throw their rock, altough in my experience if youre in the vehicle it wont do that much damage.
-If you are playing on hard, you might need to get in the driver seat to avoid spitter's spit.
Conclusion
Well, thats about it. If you were lucky, you might have gotten a bunch of weapon parts. If you weren't, you might have just gotten a pile of glue. Do this enough and before you know it youll have a widowmaker, and then do it like 30 more times anyways because you need more titanium for the deadzone.
