Yet Another Bullseye Guide
由 Marche100 制作
Just trying to make hitting the bullseye as easy as possible, since I think the current strategies that are out there are overcomplicating it.

Hitting the Bullseye
I'm going to keep this short and sweet. Consistently hitting the bullseye is not at all difficult if you know what to look for. No audio cues necessary. No need to use a ruler, run a script, or do anything similarly cheesy. As long as you have a working pair of eyes and decent hand-eye coordination, this should be a cinch.

When the cannon swings up and reaches its apex, the wheel will be in the above position. See that spoke the arrow is pointing at? Keep an eye on it.

You want to fire as the cannon is swinging down, when the spoke overlaps with the pole that connects the wheel to the cannon.

The window is honestly pretty generous. You can be a little late or a little early and be just fine. If your timing is perfect, you should land right in the center of the bullseye. Easy as that.

And needless to say, nothing about this is random. The wheel starts in the the same exact position every single time, and you can let the cannon swing up and down as many times as you need to before you're ready to fire.
What About World 5?
You're breezing through the game. You're hitting bullseyes left and right. Life is grand. You reach the final world and excitedly dive into the first level, aaand...

Your heart sinks. What in the Bit.Trip is that? All of a sudden, the handy trick that's gotten you this far is useless, thanks to this blocky abomination. What now? I asked myself that very question upon reaching World 5, and the way I see it, you have a few options.

By this point in the game, you'll have naturally built up some muscle memory, so you should be able to hit bullseyes with relative consistency by feel alone.

But the levels aren't getting any easier, and the last thing you want is to miss the bullseye by a hair, so here's an alternate idea.

Blitz through World 5 until you reach a level titled Superglide. This level has an alternate exit that leads to another level titled Sweet Eyefuls. Beat this not-very-secret level on any difficulty and you'll unlock CaptainVideo as a playable character. He's our ticket to getting the rest of the bullseyes.

Unlike the other characters, when CaptainVideo is shot out of the cannon, he doesn't pierce the target like an arrow. Rather, he gets splayed out, which significantly increases the area he covers and allows you to get bullseyes even if you're a little off the mark.
Conclusion
My recommendation for people looking to 100% this game is to use the trick with the cannon's wheel to help you get your bullseyes in the first four worlds, then speed through the first half of the final world to unlock CaptainVideo and make the home stretch that much easier. I think this preserves the fun and challenge of the game well enough without letting the bullseye grind drag the whole experience down.

Hope this helps anyone looking to conquer Runner2 in 2025 and beyond!
