Gas Mask Overlays

Beskrivelse
Read the description or previous comments.
I'm done answering the same questions over and over. I am simply going to ignore questions that have already been answered. Search through the comments to find the answer to your question on read the damn description. You can't read the description = I can't read your comment. Do a bit of your own, I literally cannot help every person individually.

Check patch notes tab.

This will be part of my Radiation Overhaul mod. It is not a reshade, it is part of the game directly. In the last preview for my Base Building and Temperature System mod I was using it and there was some interest on these overlays as standalone mod. So that's why I made this mod. Its the same thing as will be in Radiation Overhaul, but just the gas masks. It will be updated along with Radiation Overhaul's updates in the future.

At this moment, the overlays need to be applied on their own. If you put on a normal gasmask, it will NOT show up, you have to press the keys. This is because we cannot "get" what the player is currently wearing that easily at the moment in Zone Kit. It will be part of the mod in the future when this is possible.

All the gas mask overlays come from the helmets inside the game directly. 3D models of the armours were used to create these overlays. More will be added in the future. The overlays all have inertia which have into account the player movement and camera rotation. Aswell, there's a soft breathing sound. In my original gas mask overlay mod, it would have into account the player stamina and health for the sound. However this isn't possible in the Zone Kit at the moment. It will be implemented back as soon as we can read player's stamina and health.

To enable the gas mask overlay, press Alt+3 on your keyboard. You can rotate between the available overlays using Alt+8 or Alt+9, it is circular, so it goes left or right on the available ones. On an Xbox controller, you must press LB, and then press A. To rotate between the available overlays, press LB and then the thumbstick's buttons for left or right. Here's the mapping:

I found a bug, how do I report it?
Bug report section/discussion or in a comment!

I put on a gas mask, but the overlay doesn't appear.
At the moment you need to manually activate it.

Any new filter systems?
They will be part of my Radiation Overhaul mod, but not on release.

Is this a Reshade? Do I need Reshade installed?
No, this is not a reshade. You don't need anything of reshade installed. This is completly independant.

Examples of how it looks in game with the inertia?
Sure:

This mod is compatible with everything.

  • Kyne's Peace/ZunaSW: Art and coding
  • GSC Game World: For letting me be part of the Zone Kit beta and honestly doing so much for modders.
  • SSPsurvival (Pixabay): Breathing Sounds
  • Borgory (Pixabay): Wheezing Sounds

I do not allow the contents of this mod nor this mod to be uploaded anywhere else nor by other people other than myself. The usage of this mod's contents in custom modpacks that are done outside of collections in Steam, Nexus or Mod.IO is not allowed unless explicit permission is given by myself.

Incompatible with OXA regardless of description. Great mod otherwise.

Sorry,I didn't mean disrespect. your mod is great, it makes my game experience much more immersive. But I guess my previous expression gave you a misunderstanding. I just want to report a little bug, This effect may be a little offset and not covered at the bottom of the screen. I just want to ask if there is any way to solve this problem.

is it possible to consider for an optional release/add-on without the inertia?

Its very good, it would be good in a future if you could add animations for when you take out and put in the helmet

This mod is not working for ultrawide screens 21:9. Can we expect a widescreen version because the mod is really cool?

Hey,
the mod works for me and the overlays show up fine. But with most masks the screen shakes a lot, especially when I move with WASD. Just looking around with the mouse also makes it shake a bit, but not that bad. With one mask it doesn’t happen at all.

Any idea if this could be fixed by changing some graphics settings?

Thanks for this mod, it’s really cool!

awesome mod, thanks a bunch for that!
(i felt so dumb after realizing i'm not supposed to press the numbers on my numpad and wondered why it didn't work lol)

only suggestion (or nitpick more like), the breathing is rather loud
is there any way to turn it down myself?

but like i said, supertiny thing which is mostly subjective, love the mod!
