Nomadic Carts

Beskrivning
Move your house with you! Based on the Map-Vehicles mod, this mod adds two large carts. Build your home on them, and move from place to place. Perfect for a nomadic playthrough or for bringing siege weapons to a raid.

Credits:
- original cart sprite: OELS
- animal sprites: Ludeon Studio

Disclaimer: This is my first mod and its very new. I didnt get the time to test it much yet in the context of a proper playthrough.

Yes! I've wanted a way to play nomads that didn't require spaceflight or constantly building a new temporary base.

@Lexator did you try to save and reload to see if they can move on the bridges? I couldn't drive mine across deep water bridges until a reload, but it worked fine after a reload.

Could we get a patch for Medieval Overhaul components? Alternatively, just swap out components for steel in the blueprint?

Speaking of paths. I tried building a wooden bridge to make a path, but it doesn't seem to work. Does this mod use bridges as a path so the cart can move across water?

Cool mod. Just don't make the same mistake I did and start a colony in a tileset with puddles everywhere (Odyssey). The cart has no path to exit the map that way. Lol

Perfect, genuinely wanted something like this so bad. I've never used a vehicle before cuz none have ever been so in line with my playstyle. It even works with my 600 mod list!


So my only suggestion to improve this would be a tribal style "passenger seat" so you have the option of putting pawns on the cart instead of forcing everyone to walk behind it until you research the advanced passenger seats.

Also, in my testing I discovered you should not warp pawns in or out of the cart.

Using Character Editor's teleport function deleted all their gear and clothes.

When I tested further using a pawn casting farskip, it deleted the pawn being skipped entirely! So maybe make a note somewhere about not warping pawns or you might lose them (or their gear)

But again, great mod and thanks for making it!
