描述
A new generation of survival mechanics. APEX.Advanced! is the official successor to "Eat.Drink.Sleep.Repeat.Advanced!", with the goal of creating a deep survival experience.


❤️ Core Philosophy & Player Status
Moving away from numerical values. Your character's status (e.g., hunger, thirst) is communicated as a feeling rather than a number, similar to DayZ.
  • Your character has new states like Fatigue, Bloating, and Recovery. These affect your performance, can trigger debuffs, or promote healing.
  • The positive effects of food are reduced if the same meal is eaten within a short period, encouraging variety in your diet.

🌍Environmental & Behavioral Interaction
  • Action-Based Effects: Your character receives bonuses for resting in a chair or bed. Conversely, there are negative effects (malus) for eating or resting in a cockpit.
  • Radiation Mechanics: Uranium ingots are now radioactive (disabled by default).
  • Environmental Simulation: The Medical Bay now requires a breathable, pressurized environment to function. Healing is disabled in vacuum or depressurized areas.
  • Sleep System: Sleeping in a bed or cryo chamber regenerates your stats. The effectiveness of sleep varies depending on your location and whether you remove your helmet.
  • Helmet Mechanics: Consumables can only be consumed when the helmet is open.

🛠️New Blocks & Crafting Systems
  • Nutrient Supply Chain Logic: Plain water is insufficient for sustainable plant growth. You must first craft Hydro-Pellets (Composter) as a concentrated nutrient precursor because the Irrigation System is designed to only process one enriched material at a time.
  • Nutrient Management: Use large tanks to store Hydroponic Nutrient Solution for your plants. The solution is made from organic material and ice.
  • Resource Production: A Composter can convert food into organic material. Algae farms for small grids are also available.

🎯General Mod Goals
  • Multiplayer & Dedicated Server Support: The system is designed from the ground up for use in solo play, multiplayer, dedicated servers and NexusV3 clusters.
  • UI Framework: A clean, less-numeric interface.

🔭ToDo #WaitForDivineInspiration
  • 📋NexusV3 testing is complete. The mod works, but consumed item states are not transmitted to the other server (this was expected, some work to do...).
  • 🚫Inventory buff
  • 🚫Controller shortcut
  • 🚫Dynamic Plant Growth: Plants only grow when they receive sufficient light (sunlight or special lamps).



IMPORTANT DESIGN NOTE
This mod is designed to ensure that players will still consume Food even while in a cryo chamber or bed.

This is a deliberate change to prevent you from simply "idling" to gain buffs. In the vanilla game, it was possible to stay in a cryo chamber and wait to accumulate all available buffs without any resource cost.

⚠️Current Status
I am transitioning the mod from Beta into the Release Candidate (RC 1) phase!
My focus is now shifting entirely to bug smashing and stability. This means:
  • No new features, visual enhancements, or optional content will be introduced.
  • The only changes will be bug fixes to ensure the system is rock solid.

I've successfully tested the core system on a Torch server, and it's working well. Everyone is welcome to report any remaining problems or bugs! Please start a thread in the Steam discussions section to report issues. Let's smash the remaining bugs and polish everything up! 🔨✨

✅Compatibility List
  • Loading order
    • To avoid mod loading order issues, this mod should be one of the last, or preferably the very last, mod loaded by the game.
  • Vertical Farm Mod
    • Full Integration: Vertical farm blocks are automatically supported by the APEX resource and composting systems.
    • Required Dependency: Vertical Farm Mod
  • Suit Power Bank Mod
    • Visual Integration: The power bank's battery icon will now correctly display on the HUD when the mod is active.
    • Required Dependency: Suit Power Bank Mod

✅Safety & Old Saves
  • Safe to Remove/Add: The mod is now safe to add or remove from your world.
  • IMPORTANT for Old Saves: If you are loading an old save game, you must first update to the latest version (BETA 1.3) and then ensure all characters respawn. Failure to do so may result in the save game becoming unloadable.

It'd be amazing if the tool tip on the item could be updated with the negative status effect info

Holding N didn't tell me about the diminishing returns either.

Thank you for accepting my feedback and considering a future related improvement to the mod.

I really appreciate that the mod intends to add challenge to the game. However, excessive difficulty results in game imbalance and ruins fun.

Have you tested this mod in a new game with all World Settings (including inventory sizes) set to realistic values? With these settings it takes a considerable amount of time to build your first base, which becomes excessively difficult with the default settings of this mod. I also play with other mods that add realism/challenge, including one that causes the jet pack to quickly use hydrogen.

Furthermore, the game includes a few resources for the player at game start to help balance difficulty, and which is also immersive. Thus it would be sensible for this mod to include options to add a small amount of water at game start, and a way to quickly access the hydrogen/oxygen that is already stored in the starter rover.

You are right, this mod is intentionally unfriendly by design to new games. It should be hard to get started with max settings (fast food consumption).

The "black screen while sleeping" is an interesting idea - I never actually thought about making the screen black while you're sleeping! That could certainly come in a future update.

Please read the manual. You need to check if the food counts as tracked food. If it does, every subsequent use is subject to diminishing returns (first use is 100%, second is 50%, third is 33%, and so on). Only kids are able to eat pasta every day without penalties!
