The Arseille was the flagship of the Liberl Royal Guard between S.1202 and S.1207. Powered by eight XG-02 powerplants, it boasted an impressive top speed of 360km/h. At the time of its construction, it was among the most advanced airships in Zemuria.

It played a pivotal role leading up to and during the events of the Orbal Shutdown Phenomenon, and subsequently formed the basis for the Courageous, of Erebonian fame. It was eventually replaced in S.1209 by the Arseille II.

Sure. For the time and setting, it was.

I decided to rebuild the Arseille with surfaces to celebrate the release of the Trails in the Sky FC remake. Naturally, it would include all the details and moving parts I didn't add last time.
I thought that having just learned how to warp surfaces, doing it properly wouldn't be comically expensive. Obviously, I was wrong.

The ship is apparently supposed to be 42 metres long. This is a blatant lie, as the doors would probably be solidly 1.6 metres tall in that case. Never mind the sprawling internal geometry ingame - if you used the bridge (in the original game) as reference, the vehicle would probably be 220 metres long.

It turns out pistons are actually pretty good linear actuators, as long as you can constrain their lateral movement - which you can do with NaN pistons. In the past I would have done most of the linearly-moving mechanisms with steering hinges and they would have sucked.

There is no good reason for this ship to have a pop-out cannon a quarter of the ship's length. It's absurd. Why.
