didnt know about those other two but it would be worth looking into it too, and ideally i would like to get the witch to directly attack while climbing but im not sure how far just vscript can go (and if that already existing fix uses sourcemod or not), so i might have to unfortunately go with a bit more of a heavy-handed solution (aka forcing survivors to climb up the ladder) but it would be better than basically skipping witch/tank/whatever encounters

That's very interesting. I told this problem to someone and they managed to fix it but didn't send a link, just a video. She attacked while climbing a truck so it's definitely possible. There's another bug with her where she gets stumbled infinitely if you stun her with any explosion when she's doing the kill-pre animation (before mauling a survivor). She also gets glitched if she plays any landing animation close to her incapacitated targets. It's unfortunate how many glitches she has.

ive been wanting to make a fix for the ladder exploit you mentioned - which also affects tanks and other specials - however ive been having issues getting it to work, but ill post that one whenever i can get it working fully

You're buffing the Witch in ways she needs. As she stands she is very exploitable; can't attack when climbing so you can block her path, can't break doors in realism, slow pathfinding, doesn't react to people throwing dangerous objects at her (gascans, literal bombs), etc. It makes sense you didn't make a molotov or bile mod, since that explodes instantly on impact with the floor, not giving her enough time to react anyway.

These mods are awesome and I'm looking forward to anything else you make, especially the Witch.

as a side note i was considering the witch to get even more upset - therefore starting a chase - by default but thought that might be too punishing

forgot i had this installed and almost fully pissed off a witch by throwing a gascan near her. this is awesome, adds depth in a way

unfortunately it doesnt work with the pipe bomb as is, but thats a good idea and i could create a separate version of this mod for that
