Each item has a “code”, 3 letters for the slot they go in (Corona related equipment will have CRN at the start), then 2 letters which will have its size (defines amount of space it’ll take within a slot) and following letters:

P – Primary, one per slot/node.
U – Unique, one of its kind per ship.
C – Component, no amount restrictions.
A – Archetype, one per ship.

And then if that module provides an ability, it may have the following:

PA – Passive Ability, doesn’t require manual activation.
PR – Projectile
MS – Miscellaneous
FD – Field (Area of effect?)
CO - Cone
DF – Defensive
DP - Deployment
AT – Archetype
LZ – Laser
GG – Gemini Generator (Rogue)
GC – Gemini Consumer (Rogue)
SB – Subterfuge (Hologram) (Rogue)

Information above can be seen in the Statistics window, if you access it in the Hull Customization window.

Some abilities may require charging, I’ve noted down charge times in the cooldown column, if it has any. There’s also variable charge or “VarCharge”, which allows to charge an ability in a given range of time, which may affect how it’ll work (Like teleporting farther distances if you charge it for longer time).

In the following tables I’ve added type of the item in parentheses in the ability description, hopefully it’ll make it stand out more than as a single letter in its “code”/icon.

I’ve also shortened ability tags, which are inside <> signs, but they still should be descriptive enough. btw, AoE is “area of effect” ability, that’s stuff which applies some effects to everyone in a given area (like explosions damaging every enemy in their radius)

Abilities may have Energy and Heat written after their tags in (), these usually represent the activation costs. Generally, they will reduce your energy and add heat, though some abilities may consume heat instead.

In case if you see something like Energy -5 p/s; -10 — the number with p/s (points per second) is the charging cost, which will deduct this much energy per the second as you charge the ability (once charge time exceeds Charge time, it seems like it doesn't consume/generate any energy or heat, so you can hold it down for however much you like), and then it’ll deduct the next number for activating the ability (when you release the fire button).
