One would think that for a steel soul run the most important part is to not die. So opening this guide I expected to find a streamlined route to guide me to all the possible upgrades and useful items first and only then go for the difficult part like the bosses.
What I got instead are things like double trouble boss fight in Deep Docks before buying the Magma Bell and High Halls fight without Shakra's help. And for what? So that instead of 20-ish hour run you get 15?
I get that I can choose the route myself, but then I find myself wondering the point of such a guide, where I need to painstakingly read through whole sections first, ignore half the routs because they go straight to the boss, construct my own routs, and also remember to come back to the parts I missed later
I would also like to add a suggestion: perhaps you can add small images of where tools and items are in the map route if possible, so we can just follow that instead of reading most of the dialogue :)
pretty sure there was a similar google doc guide for the first hollow knight game that did the same with the colour patterns, it would be great to see it in that format!
I’d like to discuss a few details about your guide.
Could you please add me as a friend? I’ll message you when it’s convenient. 😊
