Let's Play Fata Deum. Gameplay. Tutorials. New Game Coverage.
In this Let's Play video, you will see me play Fata Deum (Steam Next Fest). Fata Deum is a strategy "God Game" simulation match based game. You compete against other gods in trying to get the most followers.  The demo version gives you 12 days (in-game) to get the most followers to win the match.  This game reminds me of "Black and White" and "Populous". As a God, you will want to build up mana to use various god powers to win over your the villagers to become your followers. As you level up, you can choose new powers and / or focus on improving existing ones.  If you enjoy scrolling around the world and peeping on the various villagers, this game may be for you.  After playing for a while, it feels game still needs more development time to improve the game balances and mechanics.  It's very slow paced and most of the time you don't have much to do as you need to gain mana. You could grid collecting wood for mana but it's a chore.  It was better to just fast forward the game until your days expired and just win that way.   The tutorial is a bit wonky with some minor glitches.   Keep in mind this is a Demo so it may improve more upon release.  Check out the demo for yourself and Wishlist it if this game is for you.
