Reunion

Beskrivning
Alyx has been captured and is being held inside an underground laboratory.
Your mission is simple: break in and rescue her.

This is a small, standalone Half-Life 2: Episode 2 map. It’s also my first ever map, so you might come across a few bugs, rough edges, or imperfections.

The main goal of this project was to test and improve my level design skills, rather than focusing too much on visuals.
Because of that, the visual aspect isn’t the strongest part of the map, but I hope you’ll still enjoy the gameplay and the experience of fighting your way through the lab to free Alyx.

Any feedback is welcome and will help me improve future projects!

I thought this map with decent. It's always fun to make enemies run into barnacles. Although I will say that putting a poison zombie in the same room as barnacles is pretty dangerous since it can crash the game if it walks into a barnacle's tongue.

Passable at first, but that antlion arena fight was an abhorrent difficulty spike. Couple that with the fact that Alyx is a dumb piece of ♥♥♥♥, and the experience is really diminished beyond anything worth playing

Nice flow, good level, of course , as you said, it can be prettied up by adding objects, but the gameplay is solid. Mission accomplished!!!
All worked, except for a crash when a poison zombie was snagged by a barnacle.

Great map! The pacing is well thought out, and the combat encounters are very varied, as is the navigation (vents, attics, and even the elevator shaft). I always appreciate maps that feel like they could have been part of the original game, and this level perfectly integrates with Valve's main design principles.
