Subnautica supports Oculus SDK 1.3. You can play Subnautica on the Oculus Rift via Steam. If you already own Subnautica on Steam, it is not necessary to buy Subnautica on Oculus Home to play with the Rift. To enable your Oculus Rift to be used with your Steam copy of Subnautica, follow these steps:

• 1. Select the "Gear" icon in the top right of Oculus Home
  
• 2. Select "Settings" from the dropdown menu
  
• 3. Select the "General" tab
  
• 4. Flick the "Unknown Sources" toggle to On.
  
• 5. Launch Subnautica from Steam with your Oculus Rift connected

Subnautica should automatically detect your Oculus Rift and enter VR mode. If you have a Rift and would like to play in non-VR mode, set the command line in Steam to "-vrmode none".
