Frontlines is a primarily weapon project, essentially seeking to bring a style of arcadey early 1900s weaponry to the workshop. It also serves as a way for me to improve on modeling weapons, animating them, and learning some fun things along the way.

Don't panic! This isn't an M14! It's just... like, a diet M14. Or rather, the M14 is a diet version of this. To be honest, wish I could have added the '36 Garret too, but ran out of time. It'll get it's own release, probably.

This mod contains the MK20 GRRT, an experimental select-fire variant of the '36 Garret, boasting a decent 20 round capacity for its caliber. Those .30 caliber rounds it sprays at a decent 637 RPM also allow it to kill in only 3 shots below 30 meters, and 4 past that! This comes with the drawback of punishing recoil and distracting muzzle flash, limiting usability at range. Unlike previous automatic rifles, this is more of a proper battle rifle, emphasizing close range combat and allowing for far more mobile usage. While it lacks the star power of its predecessor, the MK20 GRRT serves as a great compromise between heavier support weapons and the standard service rifle.

Historical Section: This is based on the T20 semi-automatic rifle prototype, based on the M1 Garand but with the addition of select fire and using BAR magazines. To be honest, this literally uses the Garret-1919's magazine because they looked super similar. I believe this is specifically the T20E1, based on muzzle brake. If it looks similar to the M14, that's because it kind of was a precursor to the T44 prototype for the M14; how much DNA is actually shared between the two, I dunno, but I'm guessing the concept of "Garand with magazine" was simple enough that the T20 isn't a direct parent of it. Fire rate in-game is a bit on the lower side from what I can gather, but it's still more than enough. Besides, faster fire rates will come when I remake my full auto Garands from my ancient Vanilla+ pack, lol. I still want to make a T44/M14, and someone wants me to make a BM59; while the latter would be pushing the bar so hard in terms of year, I can't help but feel that Magazine Fed Garand #781 will fit in with the others, even if the magazine looks different.

Thank you for reading this far. Join the server if you want, I really like working on Frontlines, even if I'm not efficient.
