First I want to give you some quick info about the game, especially if you want to get all the achievements in it.

As I've said, all the achievements, weapons, star cards and dioramas can be unlocked using this method, it doesn't matter if you're the host of the match or a player who joined the lobby.

• There are no missable achievements in the game
  
• It will take something around 50 hours to complete it
  
• If you've already completed the game on the EA Launcher, the achievements you've earned will automatically unlock on Steam after opening the game for the first time — as any other EA game

For all this, we'll have to download two mods available on the Nexus website called "Public Private Match with Achievements" and install it via Frosty Mod Manager.

There's already an option where you can start a private match with friends, but the problem is that you can't start some game modes with just two players, and worse: you wouldn't earn any achievement or XP, and no Hutt contract, challenges or daily challenges would be completed.

All this mod does is enable all these aspects of the game in private matches, giving you the option to start a match with just two players as well.

You won't get banned on Steam or even on the game itself, since it's just a simple mod, so don't worry about it.

Frosty Mod Manager is a tool designed to manage and apply mods for games built on the Frostbite engine, developed by DICE. This includes popular titles like Mass Effect: Andromeda, Dragon Age: Inquisition, and games from the Battlefield and Star Wars: Battlefront series.


First, you have to install FrostyModManager. All the instructions are very clear in their website.

After installing it, you have to download Public Private Match with Achievements. The instructions and their specificities on what it can and cannot do are also there, but since some people may find it confusing, I'll explain a bit more here:

1. There are 3 mods in the link, it doesn't matter in what order you download and install them, but it's important to know that you must install only one mod at a time, and just after installing one of them, you continue installing the next one.
   
2. You just have to install Mods 1 and 2, since the 3rd one is not necessary.

On FrostyModManager, click on "Scan for games" and then click on Star Wars Battlefront

Now, on the "Available Mods" tab, click on "Add Mod(s)" and select the mods you've downloaded from the link I provided above. They'll be in a folder named "Private Match Hosting Collection" by default.

Now just apply them

After finishing this entire process, FrostyModManager should look like this:



You always have to start the game using the "Launch" Option in FrostyModManager, instead of launching it from the icon on your desktop or from your Steam or EA App Library.

If you did everything right, you should see "Needs 1 more players" in the private match menu.



Now you just need to invite your friends (you can only invite your EA App friends, not your Steam friends, so add them there first) and as soon as you click "Start Game", they'll need to join your match again by clicking on your profile photo in the top left corner of the screen and selecting "Join game".

You can play with more than 2 players even using the mod I've shown, so you can invite more than just 1 friend or even leave your match open for other players to join. For me it was pretty common to see people joining a match that I started, especially in more popular game modes like Drop Zone.


Battlefront and Battlefront 2 give you the option to change your PING Site before searching for matches. Switching your PING site to a higher-traffic region should increase your chances of finding more players, especially if you play on specific days and hours that I'll show you down below.

Go to Settings > EA Account and change your Matchmaking Region to Europe or US West/East.




To increase your chances of finding more people, you can also play the game during its 'rush' hours and days.

In my experience and looking at charts on the Steam DB website, the best days would be Saturday and Sunday, always around 17:00 to 19:00 UTC.
