ㅤㅤㅤIn this guide you can follow step by step how to obtain all the achievements in Pronty: Fishy Adventure. The achievements are organized by general categories (bosses, collectibles, endings, etc.) and are accompanied by several images that I believe will make them much easier to understand.

ㅤㅤㅤWith nothing more to add, good luck, and enjoy mastering this game.

[💀] Boss Defeat Achievements (Part 1)

ㅤㅤㅤLet's start with the bosses. Here you will find the name and appearance of each boss, their location on the map, and some tips for the fight. These tips are adapted to normal difficulty. I didn’t consider the “Proteus” difficulty (the hardest one) because it’s not required to complete the achievements. Anyway, if you feel the standard difficulty is too hard, you can always lower it in the options menu. You can even make yourself immune (something I don’t recommend because it takes away the excitement of the fight). My recommendation when facing bosses is to use a build that prioritizes mobility (stamina upgrades, dash range, speed, etc.), since the dash makes you invulnerable and allows you to dodge any attack easily. Once you have enough memory board slots, combining that with more damage for Bront makes you unstoppable.

– Pest control service
– Defeat Para-Keto.

ㅤㅤㅤThis is the first boss you’ll encounter on your journey. It’s a giant parasite that killed the mother whale and is still feeding on her remains. Even if you kill it, its offspring will keep wandering around the whale’s corpse.

– Shark as a knife
– Defeat Lamina.

ㅤㅤㅤThe second boss. It’s a mix between a shark and a machine full of sharp blade-like knives. I recommend mastering the dash mechanic and not being afraid to use it against her when she charges at you. Be careful with the edges of the area, as they also deal damage.

– Fugu chefs.
– Defeat Puffy Fortress.

ㅤㅤㅤThis boss is extremely frantic in its movements and will fill the screen with projectiles. If by this point you haven’t mastered the dash, you’ll take a lot of hits. Being a pufferfish, it constantly changes shape, becoming small to dodge you or huge to strike you. Defeating it grants you the shrink ability, which is necessary for another achievement related to skill acquisition.

– Brick breaker
– Defeat Giant Brick Lair.

ㅤㅤㅤIt has a health bar like a boss but doesn’t perform any specific attacks, it only spawns enemies. You’ll need Bront’s strong attack upgrade (the one that lets you destroy blocks) to damage it. This ability is found near the chamber next to the ball pit in Lamina’s area.

– Plastic crown
– Defeat Meduso Magna.

ㅤㅤㅤThis giant jellyfish will summon others during the battle. The fight is considerably harder than the ones you’ve had before. Quickly attack its tentacles to get rid of them. Defeating it unlocks the abyss leading to Phalanx’s depot and refinery.

– Who needs Iolaus?
– Defeat Electric Hydra.

ㅤㅤㅤIt’s a group of sea serpents fused to a generator. They’ll fire 10,000-volt lightning bolts that deal massive damage and that Pronty can’t pass through even with the dash. However, some of their projectiles can be repelled. Take advantage of that to make space and avoid being cornered.

– Palm reading
– Defeat Handbelina.

ㅤㅤㅤThis boss is a group of fish merged into the shape of a hand that will attack you in three different ways (rock attack, paper attack, and scissors attack). Once you memorize its patterns and find a way to dodge them, this fight becomes easy.

– Hey! You are not M.I.N.A.
– Defeat Mimic.

ㅤㅤㅤIt’s a mimic of Royla’s AI. The fight is designed so you’ll use the attack-repelling ability (Whirlpool), but if you set up a good build, you can beat it using only the dash. Even though this boss looks like a long worm, its hitbox is not like the worms in Terraria (where you can deal multiple hits at once).

– Dear, can you throw out the trash
– Defeat Garbage Maiden.

ㅤㅤㅤThis is one of the first bosses that include otherworldly powers (spectral boss). The fight is fairly simple. You just have to keep circling around in a circular arena while dodging the ghosts it summons. If you get too close, it will teleport forward, so you can't mark it.

[💀] Boss Defeat Achievements (Part 2)

ㅤ

– Savior of Royla.
– Defeat Raksha.

ㅤㅤㅤThe final boss. It has 3 phases, each harder than the previous one. In the first phase you won’t be able to mark it, but in the others you can. I strongly recommend having a mobility-focused build because the time between attacks is extremely short. If you can’t move well, you’ll be dead in seconds.

– Golden glory.
– Defeat the Golden Chatterteeth.

ㅤㅤㅤYou can beat it really fast. It’s like the other Chattertooth but with more damage and the ability to summon weaker ones. Take out the lesser Chattertooth first, then focus on the boss. If you ignore them, dodging all the attacks will be impossible.

– Die again.
– Defeat Decaying Majesty.

ㅤㅤㅤThis boss has a strong narrative impact and is also a huge damage sponge. I recommend always keeping your distance, since it’s extremely fast and has wide-reaching attacks. Save your stamina only for dashing when it performs full-screen attacks.

– Ningen terminator.
– Defeat Ningen.

ㅤㅤㅤNingen is much tougher compared to the other bosses. Mainly because of its battle area. There are 4 connected zones linked by portals. Ningen will teleport between them, making the opportunities to hit him very limited. On top of that, you have 3 memory slots limited by the memory board Mask of the Red Death, which is mandatory to have equipped in order to survive in its combat area (since it’s infected with the red tide).

– The Wrath of Rabbits.
– Defeat Hellish Rabbitus.

ㅤㅤㅤIf you use the portal that Ningen creates upon dying, you’ll reach this boss’s lair. It has two phases: in the first it’s a single target, and in the second it splits into three independent ones with special attacks, but they share a single health bar, so it doesn’t matter which one you attack.

[🎯] Story and Ending Achievements

ㅤㅤㅤWith this category, you will learn how to unlock the endings and the events leading to each of them. None of the endings are too complicated to achieve, and none are missable. Each one unlocks a new background for the game’s menu, along with new songs.

– Rookie to Rocky.
– Complete the New Recruit quest.

ㅤㅤㅤYou only need to finish the tutorial, which consists of learning the basic movements and how to use them, defeating Lord Chattertooth, and returning to watch the intro cutscene where the game’s main threat, Raksha, is revealed.

– You shall pass!.
– Open the sealed mine gate.

ㅤㅤㅤFor this achievement, you need to open the door that grants access to the Phalanx Oil Depot and Refinery (the black area located below Meduso Magna).

ㅤㅤㅤTo do so, you first need to find the master of Eta.007 (and owner of the oil depot), who is dead to the left of where you defeated the Electric Hydra. On his corpse, you will find the Security Committee Report No. C77451. If you bring it to M.I.N.A., she will show you how to open the door.

ㅤㅤㅤTo unlock it, you’ll also need to scan three other items (obtained by defeating bosses).

ㅤㅤㅤThese are the Collection Item No. 333 (the frozen eye dropped by Garbage Maiden), the Portable Bomb and Audio Recorder (the briefcase dropped by Handbelina), and the ID Card and Last Words of Wei Zhao-Min (dropped by the Mimic). Once you have these items, you’ll be able to open the door and obtain the achievement.

– Eternal wait.
– Unlock the normal ending.

ㅤㅤㅤYou need to reach the rocket launch room inside the Phalanx depot (at the far right, check your map). Use the rocket noise to lure Raksha. Once you launch it, go through the door right next to it. This leads to the tunnel where you’ll fight Raksha. After defeating him, make sure to land the final blow and end his life. Doing so will unlock the achievement.

– Nova Orbis.
– Unlock the redemption ending.

ㅤㅤㅤThis ending differs from the previous one. If you rest in the closest habitat before the fight with Raksha, Mina will communicate with Pronty through dreams, telling him to go to M.I.N.A. and download secret documents located on panels to her left. After doing so, new locations with exclamation marks will appear on your map.

ㅤㅤㅤIn each of those places, you’ll find the items needed to unlock this ending. They are 3: Dr. Heinrich’s Glasses, Toby’s Backpack, and Mina’s Picture Book: The Black Swan. Beware, as the backpack is guarded by Golden Chatterteeth and the book by Decaying Majesty. Once you have them all, return to M.I.N.A. and scan them. When you defeat Raksha, you’ll now be able to choose whether to kill or forgive him. Killing him unlocks the previous ending. Forgiving him unlocks this one, the redemption ending.

– Curse of the Ancient One.
– Unlock the hidden ending.

ㅤㅤㅤThis ending is unsettling (consider yourself warned). To obtain it, you need the teleportation skill (dark portal), which you acquire after the battle against Hellish Rabbitus. You must also collect the 5 Underworld Songs, which are records found across the map marked with a specific symbol (like the one shown on the left). Once you have them all, go to the left side of the Decaying Majesty area, where you’ll find another symbol with an arrow. Crossing it will take you into a labyrinth where the solution lies in the riddle formed by the Underworld Songs. If you can’t solve it (don’t feel bad, I didn’t get it the first time either), here’s the solution: gnome – rabbit – hunter – rabbit – rabbit – hunter – rabbit – gnome. With this, you’ll reach the place where “The Ancient One” resides, who will punish Pronty for slaying his spectral minions (the other spectral bosses). After this, you’ll unlock the achievement.

[🌀] Ability Achievements

ㅤㅤㅤIn this category you’ll find the achievements related to acquiring abilities. Not all the abilities available in the game, only those of Pronty. Here you’ll be shown their location and some extra details about them.

– Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.
– Learn Skill: Minimorphus.

ㅤㅤㅤAllows you to shrink and enter very small passages. It’s located just below the Puffy Fortress area.

– Push away your troubles.
– Learn Skill: Whirlpool.

ㅤㅤㅤLets you propel yourself with a water burst that not only pushes you forward, but also repels enemy projectiles. It’s found below the Medusa Magna area, slightly to the left.

– Zeus's blessing.
– Learn Skill: Thunderpass.

ㅤㅤㅤAllows you to swap Pronty’s position with Bront’s, leaving an electric trail between their locations. You get it from Eta.007 shortly after finding its dead master in the adjacent area (to the left) of the Electric Hydra zone.

– Arcane caster.
– Learn Skill: Dark Portal.

ㅤㅤㅤLets you teleport, avoiding enemies, projectiles, and even surfaces, allowing you to reach disconnected areas of the map. It’s obtained after defeating Hellish Rabittus.

– The Predator.
– Learn every skill.

ㅤㅤㅤYou need all the abilities, including the initial one, the dash, which is obtained shortly after the tutorial.

[📦] Collectible and Exploration Achievements (Part 1)

ㅤㅤㅤThis category is by far the longest. There will be quite a few maps that might not display well. Sometimes Steam won’t respond when you click on the image, but it almost always works if you right click and open it in another tab. Extra tip: if you’re not sure whether you’re missing something, check the in-game map. If it has the bright colors like the maps I post here, great, that area is complete. But if that specific area is darker, it means you’re missing an item, ability, record, or upgrade.

– Hoarding habit.
– Collect every Memory Board.

ㅤㅤㅤYou need to collect all the Memory Boards. They are obtained through battles or challenges, by activating artifacts, or simply by exploring. A map with all Memory Boards and their locations will be shown here.

– Collect every item successfully.

ㅤㅤㅤYou need to collect all items that can be scanned by M.I.N.A., which are required for the endings. In the endings section I explained where they are and more relevant information. Scroll up there if you need to see it again.

– Truth chaser.
– View all CG scenes.

ㅤㅤㅤYou need to view the 13 cutscenes in comic format that the game has. This achievement is also tied to the endings, since unlocking them requires watching all cutscenes. In the main menu you can watch them again.

[📦] Collectible and Exploration Achievements (Part 2)

– Royla's Age of Enlightenment.
– Collect every Encyclopedia entry.

ㅤㅤㅤYou need to have every entry recorded in the encyclopedia: items, locations, creatures, abilities (both Bront’s and Pronty’s), and especially the recordings. Here’s a map with all recordings. Those marked with a “C” unlock untouchable creatures, so you can’t obtain them by killing them.

– Give me another bottle…
– Collect every GRT-112.

ㅤㅤㅤYou need to collect all GRT-112 (red upgrades). Some are found while exploring, others after bosses, and some from challenges. There are 3 direct upgrades and 21 bottles. In total, you must level this upgrade 10 times. Here’s the map.

– Exceed your limitations.
– Collect every EXC-358.

ㅤㅤㅤYou need to collect all EXC-358 (blue upgrades). Same as the previous achievement. There are 4 direct upgrades and 18 bottles. In total, another 10 levels.

– Meme Master.
– Find every meme decoration.

ㅤㅤㅤYou need to find all meme references (and paintings) scattered across the map. They’re really fun, enjoy discovering them!

– Cartographer of the Sea.
– Explore every map in the game succesfully.

ㅤㅤㅤThe name says it all. Uncover the entire map and that’s it. It should look like the one shown here. You don’t need to grab every collectible, but you do need to reveal every corner.

– Top Player.
– Reach 100% game completion.

ㅤㅤㅤAlthough the name suggests you need to do everything, some things don’t count towards completion percentage, like the boss rush, recordings, the elevator event of Eta. Focus on raising the percentage shown when opening the map (exploration, memory boards, bosses, upgrades, endings, etc). Leave this achievement for last. If you’re doing the rest, you’ll definitely get it, so don’t worry.

[🏟️] Challenge and Arena Achievements

ㅤㅤㅤRegarding this category, it’s not complicated, especially if you leave it for last. As long as you have a good build, everything will be easy.

– Prize hunter: Beginner.
– Obtain all Beginner Arena rewards.

ㅤㅤㅤIt’s an arena where enemies will continuously spawn. Stay away from them and use dash to mark them, and you’ll get through it easily. At the end, collect the reward, which is the memory board Auto-Cooling.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ

– Prize hunter: Intermediate
– Obtain all Intermediate Arena rewards.

ㅤㅤㅤIt’s a bit more challenging than the previous one, but nothing too hard. You can definitely do it. Either way, the reward is the memory board Force Cooling.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ

– Prize hunter: Expert.
– Obtain all Intermediate Expert rewards.

ㅤㅤIt’s the hardest of the three, but it has the best rewards. These include the memory board Mask of the Red Death (required to enter the Red Tide areas), one GRT-112 (red upgrade), and one EXC-358 (blue upgrade).

– Flash
– Obtain all Fish Racetrack rewards.

ㅤㅤㅤIt’s a racetrack where you need to overcome a series of obstacles in the shortest time possible. I recommend a mobility build and swapping all your GRT-112 (red) upgrades to stamina upgrades. It can be done with 50 recyclables using M.I.N.A.. The rewards are one EXC-358 (blue upgrade, under 60 sec), the memory board Eye of Ares (under 50 sec), and an Extra Elixir Slot (under 40 sec).

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ

– Toreador of the Seven Seas.
– Obtain all Plazade Toros rewards.

ㅤㅤㅤIt’s a rectangular area where you must continuously run around avoiding Bull Spiky Heads. The longer you survive, the more points you get. The rewards are one GRT-112 (red upgrade, 10 pts), the memory board Perfect Pose (18 pts), and an Extra Elixir Slot (25 pts).

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ

– Neptune's Dominator.
– Complete the Boss Rush.

ㅤㅤㅤThis is an area where every single boss in the game appears in sequence. Dr. Kao’s elixirs will be consumed every time you use them, but you will heal between battles. The combat areas are the same as in the original campaign, so you can use the same strategies. You don’t need the Mask of the Red Death memory board to fight Ningen or Hellish Rabbitus, so you can optimize your build compared to the first time you defeated them.

[🎭] Miscellaneous and Secret Achievements

ㅤㅤㅤIn this final category, the rest of the achievements are included. They are very specific tasks but not very demanding.

– Eye of Royla.
– View the city using the telescope.

ㅤㅤㅤBefore or after fighting the Mimic, there is a telescope on the right that allows you to view the city. This might be a reference to another metroidvania, Hollow Knight, where you can do the same at some point.

– Merry Christmas from the past.
– Light the underground Christmas tree succesfully and get a Christmas present.

ㅤㅤㅤIf you go deep enough into the residual area, you can find a Christmas tree made of trash. Merry Christmas in advance, dear player!

– Basketball King.
– Do your best to make a basket with the basketball!

ㅤㅤㅤIn the residual area, you can also find a basketball hoop and ball. Try to do what common sense (and the achievement description) tells you to do when you see it.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ

– Eta's tears.
– Open the elevator in the hall of Royla Tower.

ㅤㅤㅤOnce you unlock the Thunderpass ability, you can go to the ground floor of Royla Tower and activate a system that opens the elevator, releasing the corpses of people who seem important to Eta.007.

– The Boba Killer.
– Kill Boba Tea Fish for the first time.

ㅤㅤㅤHere you just have to kill this creature for the first time. It’s based on boba tea, which is iconic in Asian culture (originated in Taiwan).
