Select Options
Properties

Change from disabled OR DEFAULT to ENABLED.

This is a requirement unless you are using an xbox controller

You can change the controller keybinds through steam or in game, but next step is to change input in game to use the controller.

Editing In Menu/Game Controls

You can go to options on the main menu or in game. Then Control Configuration.

Now go down to change device

Now press a button on the controller.

The keybinds should change to look like this

Now

with the keyboard select accept

You can now use your controller.

Change Player 2 Controls (adds player 2)

Adding player 2 is easy. You can also use the keyboard for 1 and controller for 2.

Change player 2 Conrtrols

Go right to select player 2

Select change device and Press a keyboard or controller button to add player 2 controls (this also enables 2nd player which can be enabled or disabled in your save game)

Remove Player 2

You have to be in a save.

Open options with player 2's controls

(you can check the keybinds to see what to press)

Player 2's options look like this

To remove player 2 select Drop Out

Player 1's options look like this
