Kamaeru - Wetlands 100% Bioscore Guide
由 Caustic Charlie 制作
Just a quick guide I threw together whilst completely redoing my wetland to reach 100% for the bio score.

How Bioscore Works
The bioscore is how the game tracks your rehabilitation progress.

Simply stated in the wetland information the score is carbon capture x bio diversity.

This means that if you are capturing 350 (50%) tonnes of carbon but only have a biodiversity percentage of 50 you will only a bioscore of 25.

For you to reach 100% bioscore you must have your bio diversity at 100% and reach the target carbon capture of 700. Even if you exceed the target carbon capture you will still not reach 100% if your biodiversity is not also 100%.

Biodiversity in Kamaeru is very simple (I would even say this is a minor disappointment but then again not everyone likes maths):

For every pond you place you must have the same number of each of the plants: berries, pampas grass, corn dog reeds (my names for them but you get the idea).

This concept works the same in each of the additional biomes just with their unique ponds and plants instead. (Not cover in this guide)

Getting to 100
As seen in discussions on steam it can be difficult to achieve 100% bioscore when you don't know what you are doing when you first start out and the initial limitations due to the level requirements to unlock the better ponds. With a little planning you will be far better prepped to succeed with minimal redesign and repositioning. That being said I did none of this and wiped my wetland completely to start with a blank slate to make it to 100% and produce this guide.

I have yet to calculate or test if this can be done without the use of megaponds but it definitely can be accomplished with just 12 megaponds. For plants you need 2 of each plant per pond or 24 of each plant, positioning does not matter other than at least one square being directly adjacent to water.

Early Game Combo (Kidney and Parallel Mega Pond)
This is the largest of the combo and I have not tested or checked if the 100% can be reached with this alone as the size is rather awkward within the limitation of the planting grid areas.
Coming in at the lowest price of the combos the kidney combo is 2280 coins to reach the target with a total of 12 combos at 70 coins each.

Mid Game Combo (U & L Mega Pond)
Truly mid, the U&L combo is smack bang between the early and late game combos when it comes to size. The 12 combos requires for the target with set you back 210 coins each for a total of 2520.
Again I have not personally verified if the goal is attainable with only this combo.

Late Game Combo (Boot & Broken L)
This combo is the method I used and it only takes up the lower 2 planting areas to place all 12 required as this is the smallest combo and the shape and orientation allows for some overlap to maximise the space. It is however the most expensive combo coming in at a total of 3000 coins not including unlock costs. Being late game though I found that money was not and issue as by this stage you have a productive wetland and probably other biomes as well turning a decent profit to allow for optimisation.

12 Ponds at 100% Bioscore:

100% - End
I hope this helps you make you efficient wetland to make your froggies the happiest little critter and the envy of amphibians everywhere.

Guides are not something I do often but when you are someone who is known to play games with a spreadsheet open, I think its best to see if that can help someone else.

Please be kind and if I helped you give it a thumbs up, and if you want more table data for Kamaeru let me know in the comment.
