It is built into heroforge itself, its the photobooth option under the share button, though I believe it is only part of the pro version.

I did mess around with paint.net which is a free image editing program, using the ink sketch effect and some other effects from plugins and got a somewhat similar effect though not as good, especially because I couldn't really do anything lighting wise like I could with the photobooth options

Ok, these are really cool. If i could ask, what software did you use to get the Heroforge portraits to look like this?

I made a bunch of portraits using a lot of my heroforge characters and using the portrait filters to try and get closer to the style of the original portriats.
