Based on MID's now-deleted tesla coil timeout warning addon.

Overhauls the tesla coil's model; the tesla coil's "coil" will gradually change colour giving you a visual cue as to when they are about to run out. I edited the original addon changing the timing a bit; when deployed the first 19 frames will have the coil shine white, the following 6 frames turn the coil yellow and finally the last 6 frames red. The original addon had the coil change colour for only 8 or so frames and I always thought that it would be nice if it was a tad bit longer.

In a nutshell the features are:
  • Intended to be used with Weapon Balance
  • The coil will gradually change colour from white to yellow then red

The original addon had an issue with the coil flashing yellow seemingly at random, it shouldn't be a problem anymore.

All credit goes to the original author "MID" whom I would've never been able to track down and get the permission from if not for 漠羅紗 thanks to them and checkout their cool mods!

i have never played alien swarm but i hate this mod and i hate you. i hate aliens. i wish all aliens go away

cheers I haven't messed around with the original vmt file (other than changing the target texture) the bulk of my work was just editing the vtf file, changing the timing and fixing a bug in the process. But I haven't looked too much into the code itself since it seems to be working fine

This visuals looks very useful, you could do simple "AnimatedTexture" as proxie also i dont understand how it can works with "animatedtextureframerate" 1 syntax wrote like this, probably 1 frame per second during 29 seconds ajusted to coil timer before it stops right? Put double quotes around your framerate number ("1") Anyways if you managed to fix original mod and make youre own version, that's great, keep it up uploading good game toolkits!
