Sometimes you might see another player (usually high ranked one) start dancing wildly during a mission or at a space rig outside the dance floor near the bar, and you might ask yourself the same question that my teammates constantly ask me:

So I decided to write this guide to potentially satisfy players' curiosity and increase your enjoyment of the game.

Let me say right away - yes, these are mods, and if you want to add some excitement and fun to the gameplay, you'll have to trust the mod.io website and log in there using your Steam account.

The developers support modding their game, and the mod.io's team verifies each mod so there's nothing to be afraid of.

A service mod that provides players with a convenient menu for interacting with mods and mod devs with tools for interacting with the game. A must-have, even if you use other mods not related to dancing.

A mod that I personally use. It has access to all dance animations and allows you to customize dances to hotkeys in the ModHub mod menu.

It does not require ModHub to work and has its own menu, standard hotkeys, and the ability to bind dances.
However, in my opinion, the menu is not well designed and may conflict with the ModHub menu in the future, and the presence of default binds forces you to memorize them from the very beginning of using the mod, and if you forget them, you will have to go back to the website to remember them.

Note: In mod discussions, players complain about the game crashing when using the standard salute animation (V).

I do not recommend it, but it is an option.

Does not require ModHub, Host can make all players on the team dance, 212.000+ mod downloads 😯, however:

• The mod is in the “Approved” category, which will reduce the number of players connecting to your game
  (since everyone has the “Allow Approwed” option unchecked by default in the server list, and not so many players check it)
  
• There is no option to bind a dance to a hotkey here.
  
• You cannot dance in someone else's lobby if the host does not have the same mod installed.

For installed mods to work, they need to be activated in the game in the settings menu for the mods you have subscribed to. By default, newly installed mods will be disabled after downloading.

1. So, after entering the game, we press Esc and find the “modding” button in the top menu.
   
   
   
2. It used to be possible to manage mods here, but since the recent update, we need to go to the info screen using the button in the upper right corner.
   
   
   
3. We are interested in the mods menu. You can find it by clicking the “Mods” button in the lower right corner.
   
   
   
4. Find the mod you installed and click the checkbox to activate it.
   If the mod is not there, try refreshing the mod list by clicking the “Refresh” button in the upper right corner.
   
   
   
5. The mod is marked as “Outdated” (what else is there to update if you already have access to all animations 🤣), so uncheck “Auto Disable Outdated Mods” in the upper left corner so you don’t have to repeat the whole process every time you start the game.
   

Now you are ready to go and dance, surprising all your teammates with your moves.
