Beskrivning
The SSMV-3 Bowhead is one of the more common ships in the galaxy - a favourite of contractors and pirates alike. The introduction of nanite construction technology saw a rise in the mainstream usage of larger vessels such as The Bowhead. Its older brother - The SSMV-4 Humpback - proved to be it's successor however, due to its superior planetary flight, as well as its nicer interior. Despite this, The Bowhead is still an excellent platform for those seeking to make a fortune among the stars.

The Bowhead features an onboard refinery (4 yield modules), assembler (2 speed modules), 2 cargo containers, 2 hydrogen tanks, 2 jump drives, and 4 interior turrets for defence. This ship can run fully on hydrogen if uranium supplies are low, while still having 4 small reactors. Survival ready and modless. This ship is just about able to fly in 1G gravity when not carrying any cargo.

Pros:

<> Able to sustain itself fully for long periods of time (assuming ice is available)
<> Automatically ejects gravel (this can be turned off in the toolbar)
<> Secondary jump drive for emergency jumps
<> Is able to bore (provided terrain clearing mode is enabled)
<> Easy enough to build in survival thanks to the minimalist design
<> Comfortable yet compact living quarters
<> Uranium is not necessary for the ship to function but it is recommended
<> Maintenance projector aids in repair
<> Event controller allows for easy docking and refuelling
<> Able to process ores and manufacture components

Cons:

<> Slow
<> Not able to defend itself against anything larger than an engineer or light fighter (fleeing is your only option)
<> Interior turrets need to be manually stocked
<> Barely capable of planetary flight
<> Not very durable
