Introduction
Hi everyone, this is an ancient guide I was working on during versions 1.5 and 1.7.

Thanks to the game's debug function I was able to get an upgraded and invincible Dan right from the get go so I was able to "scan" every single enemy in the game with his ability "Poll viewers", including Dan himself!

Unfortunately (for me at least), with update 2.0 and 2.01 came a HUMONGOUS amount of new enemies, plus Dan's abilities became more impractical as Blind Fury now only gives 4 viewers instead of 12 and Poll viewers, while cooler and funnier, is annoying to use now so admittedly I kinda just... gave up, to be completely honest.

With all that being said, I recently completed Cursed mode a couple times and I found myself reading my own notes every now and then, especially to remember enemy weaknesses so I could choose weapons accordingly, so then I realized "If this guide can help me, then it might help other people as well!" and decided to publish it anyway.
It's surprisingly still like 90% accurate for the enemies that were present up to version 1.7.

As for enemies and changes that were introduced later, you can find info on Fandom's Look ouside enemies section[look-outside.fandom.com].

From what I've seen it's pretty accurate, up to date and exhaustive.
Seriously, there's like everything and some more there: stats, weaknesses, skills, status weaknesses/interactions, social security numbers... you name it.

Anyway, back to this guide.

With some exceptions, I listed the enemies in the order you are most likely to encounter within each floor but I left the optional/friendly ones for last in case you're not the type to assault everything that moves.

The informations are presented just as you'd see them in-game when using Dan's Poll viewers abilty against an enemy (or at least, you know, how it USED to look up to V.1.7) except for info added by yours truly for context, usually written in parenthesys "(like this)" or prefaced by "Note:" or "Fun fact:".

Also, here's a couple clarifications to avoid any confusion.

Many enemies have multiple sprites for both in and out of combat situations so I only chose one to represent them, usually the one where they're at their most aggressive cause they look the coolest.

Also, in case you were wondering, [FLESH] damage refers to Hellsword's "Corruption" damage, [SHADOW] damage refers to a couple unused weapons as of v.1.7 (althought now it is also applied by all of Spider's skills and basic attack) and [COLD] damage... well, I have no idea how the player is supposed to deal that one to be honest (well now we have that one Sophie marble and the Whisperblade if I'm not mistaken, I guess).

Furthermore, this guide was like 90% complete when update 1.6 dropped, which meant I had to double check all the enemies to see what changed.

While a bit annoying and time consuming on my end, the good thing is that I got to monitor exactly how much enemies were buffed or nerfed if you're curious about that.

I didn't get to play the 1.6 patch cause 1.7 came just a few days after so I skipped straight from 1.5 to 1.7 but I catalogued the changes in its own section at the end of guide if you're interested in that.

I might even check out the 1.00 launch version if there's request for that... maybe...

Finally, there's hundreds of enemies in this game with a dozen stats each plus an update that changed some of them around so human error to catalogue on my end is a likely possibility.

Just to be safe, think of this guide as being about 90-95% accurate, you never know.

Patch 1.5>1.7 changes
Notable changes

-Some early game enemies got mostly nerfed while some late game enemies got buffed.

-Some enemies can now drop new items, some of them previously unseen!

Frozen enemies can drop winter clothing, passengers can drop cloth or floral shirt, conscripts can drop dog tags, Cop car and Swat truck drop Nightstick.

-Some enemies can now use Skills!
Enemies like Colonel Squakums and Guardian now have STM when they previously had 0.

-Evolving enemies now correctly regenerate HP on transformation.
Example: the Gawker starts with 100 max HP, then turns into a Witness has 120 max HP and then turns into an Eternal Eye who has 140 max HP. During every transformation, this enemy regenerates 20 HP to be consistent with the max HP increase but up until version 1.5 this wasn't the case so enemies that were supposed to get stronger as the fight progresses were penalized by lower starting HP.
The most egregious example were the Cultists during XIN-AMON's fight.
All 3 of them were supposed to spawn with 300 HP but since they technically spawned as their regular human counterpoints first, they all started with only 120 HP, allowing you to instantly kill them with a single powerful aoe attack like the Super Explosive.
The only enemy to properly regenerate HP during its transformation was Taxidermy but that enemy was a bit weird, we'll get to it.

-Some final bosses spawn with lower HP and STM than intended.
Unfortunately, while a lot of enemies received improvements and fixes, some final bosses (Discordant Triune and Chaos Quartet to be precise) got broken instead, spawning with lower HP (and STA) than intended whereas previously only Unholy Duet started with the incorrect HP.
This does not include the XIN-AMON Cultists who didn't spawn with the intended values due to the "transformation" oversight.
My speculation is that since all the "Gaze" bosses start with the same HP and STM as Chorus of One (1200 and 120 respectively), this boss may have been used as a "template" for the others which may have caused this issue.

Easy/Hard mode stats changes
The changes or... change really, is pretty simple. Some stats (usually HP, Atk and Ball) are usually reduced/increased by 25%. That's it, really.

One interesting little change though is that the Suturing kit gets 4 more/less uses depending on difficullty (so 14 on Easy, 10 on Normal and 6 on Hard).

Interestingly enough, after making this guide I have even more admiration for sprite artists.

You see, for each enemy I had to individually assign the correct sprite found in the game's files and resize it to correctly fit in the guide which was a bit painful, not gonna lie.

Despite all the sprites essentially being wrapped in a bow and neatly ordered in the game's folders, it was somehow still a time consuming errand so I can't imagine the ASTRONOMICAL (hehe get it?) work it takes to draw all these sprites from scratch pixel by pixel.

EDIT: especially now that 2.0 and 2.01 dropped and casually just... DOUBLED the game's content.

Truly an admirable feat, especially nowadays that AI slop is menacingly looming around the corner.
