Differences from Tabletop
  • Intercept Attack Works as written, with a caveat. This does not show you the amount of damage you are about to take, for one simple reason: I can't make you take JUST the damage before resistances are calculated, without also becoming the action's target too. So it has to be REROLLED against you. While gambling on and min-maxing the damage rerolls might be engaging, it's inherently confusing, and so is obscured instead (you can see this odd behavior in the combat log when you look at the damage events). By not being able to see the damage, this makes the rolls statistically independent, thus working as intended (sorry).
  • Guardian Mastery It's hard to tell EXACTLY what the bonus is intended to be, and what TYPE the bonus is. If in the future, level 19+ encounters are made for DD, this ability calculates as your FULL item bonus. Yes, the +6 from your Full Plate. Yes, the +3 from Potency runes. YES, AND the +3 from Resilient runes. This will likely differ from later feat implementations such as Belly Flop, whose wording is slightly different, whilst the bonus' net effect is dramatically different. This is NOT a final decision.
  • Lock Down Imposes DC 5 flat checks on move actions, or DC 11 if the intended destination is outside your reach.
  • Phalanx Formation Your allies ignore all lesser cover, not just from you, but must be within 10 feet of you.

@"horando": That has to do with how Aggressive Block is implemented. Indeed, it doesn't rely on any Shove action functionality. What to do about this is to be determined. I'm hesitant about the consequences of altering it to use a Shove subsidiary, but I could experiment with it. It would be something I handle inside of More Shields, rather than Guardian, but since Guardian requires More Shields, it would be resolved all the same.

I'll take a deeper look into it (including rules discussions on these kinds of ability interactions), but no promises. For now, I guess try to look for Free Action stacking on Shield Block abilities since DD doesn't impose much for limits on that.

Hi there! Aggressive Block is not triggering the damage from Punishing Shove. In tabletop it explicitly uses Shove as a subordinate action but in Dawnsbury Days it does seem to be worded differently. Possible to fix?

@"Emboar bof": Once again, this is fixed. Thanks!

Hey it's me again! Tired of seeing me yet? :P
This time it's not a bug, just a simple oversight. The level 7 feature "Reaction Time" should upgrade Perception from Trained to Expert, but as of now it doesn't.

@"Emboar bof": Thanks again. This is now fixed as well. It'll raise a shield but the subsidiary taunt may still fail due to concealment.

Another thing I noticed.
Shielding Taunt rolls a check against concealment/hidden... even for just Raising the Shield (which shouldn't happen I'm pretty sure). It has happened that I failed to Raise the Shield by using Shielding Taunt because I failed against concealment lol

@"Emboar bof": Thanks for the report! This is now fixed.

I feel like Intercept Attack is wonky, not allowing to intercept attacks when you're already adjacent to your ally, I think it may be because of difficult terrain or the general inability to step

I like it, although taunt doesn't work quite right, it should be able to target mindless creatures. In the cave encounter in the DLC it doesn't work on the Jellys

I love it, thanks for making the mod.
