Geodesical & Spoilerlight™ Guide to Baldur's Gate Achievement
由 Holysword 制作
Baldur’s Gate is one of those classics that dismisses introductions (so why are you writing one, Benny?!?). Perhaps exactly because of that, information about achievements and quests is spread all over in a spoiler-ridden-not-so-linear fashion. That’s not a dealbreaker if you played this game multiple times since 1998. I, however, lived in a cave until last summer and played this game for the first time right now, in 2025, becau- hey, put down your tomatoes and hear me out - because I was too busy being obsessed with achievements and perfectionism.

Thus I suffered so you shan’t. Yours truly will provide the first ever achievement guide featuring
 ➤ no ads
➤ all achievements for both Enhanced Edition (BG:EE) and Siege of Dragonspear (SoD)
➤ only two BG:EE playthroughts (though I recommend three)
 ➤ only one SoD playthrought
➤ an almost-linear progression, no unnecessary replays and reloads
➤ as little spoilers as possible(ish)
➤ all quests mentioned with link to Baldur's Gate Wiki
 ➤ all Companions location
➤ optional Romance routes in SoD (females only right now, help me expand!)
➤ all tome & key loot locations
➤ overview of the optional Black Pits expansion
➤ a skip button for when you’re fedup with my jokes lol no

Feel free to make your choices, read the story, have fun; I'll tell you when to save and reload and only spoil something if that could hinder achievement hunting.

This is not a “speedrun” or “all achievements asap” kind of guide, so I reserve the right to mention achievements much later than when they are first available. A feature, not a bug.

Ready?

Ladies and Gents, it is my pleasure to give to you “Geodesical & Spoilerlight™ Guide to Baldur's Gate Achievement”. Enjoy!

How to Read (this Guide)

This guide is brought to you by <ad=”missing_string”></ad>.

I will address all achievements, quests, items, companions and other goodies according to their *-location-*. You can visit the locations in a different order, as long as you jump back and forth in the guide. Since I WANT you to explore and fool around, I prepared a trick to facilitate jumping/searching using unicode characters; see section [Unicode Markers] bellow.

In spite of the spoiler tags galore, there will be some spoilers but nothing grand.

Finally, the map displayed here shows the flow of this guide for the first part of the game. This is a very optimistic map, of course: you will probably have to go back and forth to buy potions, items, or sell loot.

In the "Siege of Dragonspear" expansion, the progress is quite linear so maps are not necessary.

Acronyms
  • [Ch.X-Y]: the game is divided into 13 chapters. [Ch.X-Y] stands for "Chapter X to Chapter Y" and [Ch.X+] means “Chapter X or later”. Some chapters are huge and are split into multiple parts. I'll use [Ch.X, PartY] when that is relevant
  • GW: Gorion's Ward, that's how the game calls the "main character".
  • BG:EE: Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition, comprising the main story from Prologue to [Ch.7, Saverok]
  • SoD: Siege of Dragonspear, the expansion from [Ch.7, Korlasz Family Tomb] down to [Ch.13]. The artstyle changes, it will be pretty obvious.
  • Standard D&D notation: Strength=STR, Constitution=CON, Dexterity=DEX, Intelligence=INT, Wisdom=WIS, Charisma=CHA
  • XP = experience points, DMG=damage, Rep. = Reputation, Crit. = critical hit, APR = attacks per round, Saves = “Saving throws”, Res. = Resistance
  • S/R: save and/or reload
  • PoNR: it stands for "Point of No Return" for those without a rotten mind
  • BGW: Baldur's Gate wiki, this link here:https://baldursgate.fandom.com/. You can search for quest, items and NPCs there if you're having troubles, but be warned that they can be spoiler-heavy.

Unicode Markers
I found these unicode characters very useful for marking sections and subsections of the guide to facilitate CTRL+F'ing and jumping back-and-forth. Keep them in the Steam Overlay notes for quick reference:
  • ✪ Achievement (X/Y): part X of Y of an achievement
  • ☙ Text: this is always an achievement description. If you see this symbol followed by spoiler tag, you can make a more informed decision if you want to read the spoiler or not.
  • ⎈ Location: there should be exactly one entry per map location in BG:EE and SoD, plus some extra locations not in the map. I had to be very creative and "rename" locations when you revisit them, but I guess it is not too bad.
  • 🤻 Companion: entry related to the acquisition of this companion
  • ♥ Companion (X): Xth romance dialogue (SoD only, currently females only)
  • ➤ Quest most of the time, but also instructions or a generic bullet point
  • ↷ Part of Quest but you do not need to be on the quest right now to follow the instructions
  • ✦ Item or XP, usually reward of a quest or an event
  • ⛃ Shop, lol just found it cool

Iconography
I added some visual aid for some of the entries to highlight special characteristics:
  • Green: unmisseable. With "clock" icon: misseable, but I will bring up later again
  • Yellow: requires some extra attention. With "certified" icon: mechanics-related and not story-related. I'll address all in [Independent Achievements] soon but they will come up during the rest of the guide too
  • Red: easily blocked by something e.g. end of a chapter. With exclamation mark: blocked by some choice, limiting your playstyle/roleplaying. With the "hourglass": involves some time-sensitive quest or decision.
  • Pink: romace dialogue. With exclamation mark: involves an ultimatum.
  • VS Diamond: marks two achievements as conflicting with each other, but you can S/R to get both
  • SoD, BG2 and Heart: only appear on companion entries. Denotes if they reappear in SoD/BG2 and if they are romanceable

Some entries do not address achievements, companions nor romance:
  • Shop Icon: entry involves a shop and/or some notable loot
  • Question Mark Icon: entry involves quest with notable reward
  • Gossip Icon: entry involves a secret or even an exploit
  • Tome Icon: tomes are particularly powerful and useful, so I will definitely list the location of all tomes in BG:EE

Apart from those, the following icons might be found:
  • Lamp Icon: something very important to bear in mind for this area, usually a PoNR. Always read those
  • Map Icon: will always be followed by a "Spoiler Map" image in BGW, showing points of interest in the area if they are tricky to find
  • Quest Icon: for each location, I will put a subsection listing all side-quests NOT mentioned in any of the previous entries. If a quest can be acquired in multiple locations, I'll list it only in the first visited location
  • Lord of Murder Icon: same as above but for main quests or quests which hold some higher importance

Before the Creation

In the beginning, God created the Heavens and Earth, leaving to you the task to create Gorion’s Ward (or GW for short) right now. I'll not go over class/races recommendations, that's beyond the scope of this guide. I'll just gloss over some other aspects to help you make a more informed decision.

THAC0, AC, Saves and the Number 42
First of all: it is THAC-ZERO (to hit armor class zero), not TACO!

With that out of my system, explaining all game mechanics is very challenging (because I don’t understand them). AD&D can be hilariously confusing in PnP when a +2 AC bonus may actually mean -2 AC, but not so much here.

This is how it works: to hit an opponent, the game rolls a d20. If the roll is larger than your THAC0 minus the oponent’s AC, you hit. Saving throws are similar.

The important thing to keep in mind is: the lower the AC, THAC0 and Saves are, the better. Even simpler: -1 to one of those mean +5% success rate in your favour for each roll.

Companion or Sinpanion, Siñor?
In your journey you will find a number of Companions which may join you up to five at a time. While in your party, you can fully control them, including dismissing or re-recruiting them (some go to a tavern, some wait where you left them, some get offended and leave forever; check Companions[baldursgate.fandom.com]). Companions are fun because they give you quests, achievements, “interact” with each other and enrich the gaming experience quite a lot. You can even romance some (see the section later on).

The alternative is to start with the GW and up to five "Custom Companions". Now, Custom Companions are not as fun as the “canonical” Companions, don’t give quests nor interact with the world in any meaningful way. They are, however very handy to get some achievements!

Pros
Cons
You can import/export them, start new game using them as GW, etc
Less interaction with the world and quests, worse voice-acting, no romance
Control over their class, alignment and build
Canonical Companions may have powerful unique skills/items
Stay with you during “solo” sections
Don’t carry over to SoD (or between chapters in SoD) unless you keep them in your party. This is not a problem in BG:EE

Exploit: you can create a party in SoD and export the characters right away. They start with 64,000 XP, better gear and can be immediatelly loaded into BG:EE. This is largely unnecessary as the game is not that difficult, you can lower it mid-game, and you should get more than enough XP to max GW and several Companions in a single playthrought.

Finally, I will go against most of the community and recommend you have at least a one trustworthy Custom Companion. I find particularly useful to have in your party
➤ a Swashbuckler for thievery shenanigans
➤ a Druid or Cleric for Priest Spells (a.k.a. buffs and heals) and “Untoucheable” achievement (see later). A pure Druid would allow an optional exploit in [Ch.4, Firewine Bridge] when maxed. There are both Clerics and Druid Companions to that end, though
➤ a Sorcerer to level up and prepare for a “Lord of Murder” speedrun if you’re feeling particularly confident

SoD Shanenigans
There is a big gotcha at the beginning of SoD that you should be aware right now while planning your party composition:
➤ Companions that died in BG:EE just resurrect without explanation (except for Baeloth!)
➤ after the SoD prologue, your Companions will scatter
➤ items in Companion’s inventory will go into a chest which you can access throughout [Ch.7]
➤ ...but they will take all equiped items with them!
➤ Companions in this list[baldursgate.fandom.com] will be found again in SoD sooner or later, so you can retrieve whatever gear they had
➤ Companions not in the list will be lost, and so will be their gear!

➤ Custom Companions are unaffected by all of this!
They will be with the GW even during “solo” parts. This can be considerably less annoying.

Good vs Evil Party
If you like playing the badboy I wish all baristas will spit in your coffee you’ll have some troubles with this guide. This is because having a high Rep. is key to convince NPCs or Companions to side and stay with you, enable certain dialogue options and most importantly, to unlock the “Lover’s Sacrifice” achievement at the very end of the game. You’ve been warned!

“Turning evil” takes a few seconds of killing civilians – becoming a hero takes forever. Evil Companions will be unhappy in a good party (see this for details[baldursgate.fandom.com]) and may leave, nag the whole time or pick up fights with other companions.

Since I am not Jorge only play the game as intended a hero, I won’t be able to help you much if you play evil parties. You can pick up evil companions more easily after you acquire the Helmet of Opposite Alignment[baldursgate.fandom.com] in the Durlag Tower, covered in the [Interlude, Endgame] section after [Ch.5].

DISCLAIMER: I am a also a hypocrite and I will let you know some of the situations where a knife in the back gives some benefits and none or little reputation damage.

Romance
Romance[baldursgate.fandom.com] already exists in BG:EE, but only barely and only with 3 specific Companions - hence I will not address it in this guide. SoD expands that to 8 and the romance advances further. The romanceables are

*Viconia will only date humans, half-elves, half-orcs or halfling.

The first six can be found in BG:EE, but only the first 3 are romanceable there. Romance track are “misseable” and if you fail to trigger one of the dialogues, the subsequent ones are also lost.

I will spoil now the pattern behind romances: there are 6 special dialogue options per romanceable Companion with a “conclusion” in the Epilogue. One of the 6 will always be an “Ultimatum”, forcing the GW to say “I like you” or “lol, not you”. This choice will either close the current romance track or all others.

Be warned that you cannot “date” multiple Companions unless you’re using a mod or a savegame editor, so choose wisely. Feel free to look the spoilers of how each romance track ends in [Ch.13].
Independent Achievements

These can be obtained any time, technically. I will bring several of them up at some point during the playthrought.

✪ Friend of Volo / ✪ Lord of Murder
☙ Complete the game on Story Mode difficulty vs Legacy of Bhaal difficulty

Must play the whole BG:EE in “Story Mode” or “Legacy of Bhaal” without ever switching, hence, you gotta have at least two playthroughts to get both. For Lord of Murder, check this speedrun guide: https://youtu.be/LwOz90QlqWw

✪ Flying Solo / ✪ Leave No Friend Behind / ✪ Sacrifices Must Be Made
Complete the game solo/ without any party members dying / with a full party of dead allies

For "Flying Solo", you have to play the whole BG:EE without ever getting any companion in your party, never ever. You can combine it with “Lord of Murder” or “Friend of Volo” speedrun.

The other two concerns the final battle of BG:EE. You can change difficulty mid-fight even, and note switching to Story Mode *resurrects* dead Companions!

✪ Hero / ✪ Villain
☙ Acquire Heroic / Despised reputation

For Hero, you need Rep. 17+. Should happen pretty quickly if you keep on being a good boy/girl. I will not address this anywhere else in this guide, because it depends on which sidequests you’re doing! For Villain, just save and go on a rampage killing civilians. Once your Rep. drops to 4 or lower, you’ll get it. Combine it with Oathbreaker (see below) too, to avoid tarnishing your soul too much.

✪ Oathbreaker
☙ Become a Fallen Paladin or a Fallen Ranger

GW must be a Paladin or Ranger, with Rep. 5 or lower, so just get it together with Villain, for an easier time atuning for your sins in real life later on. This can be obtained pretty quickly in a fresh new game, so I will not address this anywhere.

✪ Murder Incarnate
☙ Kill 1,000 creatures

Lol don’t worry about this one. Unless you’re speedrunning, you’ll get it in BG:EE.

✪ Best Day Ever
☙ Have Bless, Chant, and Luck active at the same time

Requires minimal preparation:
🠶 Bless: Tier 1 Priest Spell, (e.g. Cleric lvl 1)
🠶 Chant: Tier 2 Priest Spell (e.g. Cleric lvl 3)
🠶 Luck: Tier 2 Arcane Spell (e.g. Mage lvl 3)
You may cast the spell with Companions and you may use Scrolls, but GW must have the buffs.

✪ Worst Day Ever
☙ Have Disease, Fatigue, and Poison active at the same time

Considerably more involved than “Best Day Ever”.
🠶 Fatigue: occurs naturally if you don’t sleep for a long time, but depends on CON. Travel between places back and forth to make hours pass faster. If your GW can cast Priest Spells you can cast Lesser Restoration (native or via scrolls) on any party member. The caster becomes fatigued.
🠶 Poison: Tier 4 Priest Spell (e.g. Cleric lvl 7)
🠶 Contagion: Tier 4 Mage Spell (e.g. Mage lvl 7)
You may cast the spells with a Companion, but GW must have the debuffs. The challenge here is that GW will resist those spells, so you’ll need to reload a lot. Also, you might be lucky and find the Contagion Scroll early on, or you'll need to wait for [Ch.5]. I'll bring this up then.

✪ Godlike
☙ Increase an attribute score to 25

Must be achieved with GW. Trivial with potions, e.g. Potion of Mind Focusing. You will need to get this while going for “Untoucheable” (see below) but I will speed it up and mention this in [Ch.2] again.

✪ Untoucheable
☙ Have an Armor Class of -15 or lower

Must be achieved with GW. The challenge is that a lot of items that give AC bonus do not stack. In BG:EE you can collect
🠶 Potion of Defense: sets AC to 0
🠶 DEX 25 (via multiple Potions of Mind Focusing): -6 AC
 🠶 Claw of Kazgarog: -1 AC [Ch.1+]
 🠶 Guard’s Ring: -2 AC [Ch.5]
🠶 Cloak & Helm of Balduran: -1 AC each [Ch.5]
🠶 Defensive Harmony (Tier 4 Priest Spell): -2 AC [~Ch.5]
 🠶 Pellan’s Shield: -3 AC [Durlag’s Tower]
That’d add to -16 AC. Durlag's Tower is rather late game, but you can swap Pellan's Shield for a Large Shield+1 (- 2AC) all the same. If you have a Swashbuckler lvl 10+:
🠶 Swashbuckler: -1/-2/-3 AC at level 1/5/10 respectively, achievable in [Ch.5] or earlier
🠶 No Pellan’s Shield, can only use Bucklers: -1 AC
This will give you -17 AC, so you can drop some of the items or the Priest. I'll bring this achievement up again in [Ch.5]. In SoD there is the "Dragon Scale Shield" with -4 AC.

✪ Loremaster
☙ Have a Lore skill of 100 or more

Must be achieved with GW, preferably with a Bard. They get +10 Lore per level. Having INT and WIS 18 gives +10 Lore. A fresh new Bard in SoD can thus start with a Lore 90. At the end of [Ch.7, Korlasz Family Tomb] you get the Cloak of Minor Arcana which gives +10 Lore. If you don’t have a Bard in your group:
🠶 save, export your GW with the Cloak in his inventory
🠶 start new SoD compaign with a 90 Lore Bard GW
🠶 add your old GW as a Custom Companion
🠶 start game, pass the Cloak to the Bard, voilá
I’ll bring this up again in [Ch.7, Korlasz Family Tomb].

✪ Grand Master
☙ Become a Grand Master

A.k.a. having five proficiency points in a single weapon. Must be achieved with GW. Can only be unlocked by a lvl 9 Fighter (in SoD or Black Pits). I’ll not really address this.

✪ Juggernaut
☙ Reach 150 Hit Points

Must be achieved with GW. HP is a bit random, but Fighters/Paladin/Rangers with CON 18 should have 1d10+4 HP per level. Barbarians/Dwarven Defenders should have 1d12+4. A Half-orc can have CON 19, which changes +4 into +5. [Ch.3, Lighthouse] has a Manual of Bodily Exercise that can bump that up to 20 (still +5) and some items such as Helm of Dumathoin [Ch.8, Coast Way Crossing] gives +2 CON for Dwarves, +1 for other races. Potion of Heroism gives +10% and Potion of Power gives +20%. I’ll bring this up in [Ch.10]

Minimal Playthroughs
With that, you will have to have at least two full runs of BG:EE but only one of SoD.
➤ one without Companions for "Flying Solo"
➤ one with Companions for several other achievements
combined with
➤ one in Story Mode for "Friend of Volo"
➤ one in "Legacy of Bhaal" difficulty for "Lord of Murder"
Neither Story Mode nor "Legacy of Bhaal" will give you a “genuine” experience, so I suggest you commit to three BG:EE runs:
➤ Preferred difficulty with Companions, for leisure and exploring
➤ Story Mode speedrun without any companions, potentially cleaning up missing achievements and collecting extra copies of tomes and OP gear
➤ Legacy of Bhaal speedrun, optionally with some max level characters and gear from your first and second runs
Prologue

⎈ Candlekeep

These are all misseable. The PoNR is talking to Gorion, so only do so after you complete the achievements below.

Spoiler Map[baldursgate.fandom.com]

✪ Completionist
☙ Finish all your chores before leaving Candlekeep

These are the chores:
 ➤ An Errand For Fuller[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Dreppin's Cow[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Firebead's Scroll[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Hull's Sword[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Phyldia's book[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Reever's Storehouse[baldursgate.fandom.com]

Back to Basics
☙ Speak to all the Candlekeep tutors and learn what they have to teach you

There are 14 Tutor NPCs, 2 of which are inside the Inn. I've tested chosing only one dialogue option with each Tutor, but that wasn't enough. Then I started choosing all dialogue options and by the 3rd Tutor it worked, so I'm not sure what the exact criterion is.

✪ Safe For Now
Defeat Carbos and Shank.

You'll likely find this by accident while doing "Completionist", but there is always the spoiler map in case you're having troubles.

✪ On My Own
☙ Complete the Prologue
Find Gorion[baldursgate.fandom.com] and talk to him after getting all achievements.

Chapter 1 - Midnorth

Just a reminder that now practically the whole map is available except
➤ Nashkel: starts [Ch.2] (but you can just go there)
  ➤ Bandit's Camp: enables in [Ch.3]
➤ Cloakwood Forest: enables in [Ch.4]
  ➤ Baldur's Gate: enables in [Ch.5]
Feel free to stray from the path and use the pins "⎈".

⎈ Lion's Way

🤻 Imoen
Imoen[baldursgate.fandom.com] doesn't give any particular quest nor achievements.

She is in fact unmisseable. If you’re going for “Flying Solo” (no-companions-run) you have to literally run from her, as she will join you no matter what you say! You can flee south towards High Hedge. I’ll assume that you manage to slide eastwards, towards Friendly Arm Inn, though.

🤻 Xzar 🙵 🤻 Montarion
Xzar[baldursgate.fandom.com] and Montarion[baldursgate.fandom.com] give you the time-sensitive quest "➤ Xzar and Montarion" if you recruit them, but there are no achievements linked to this quest.

If you don't recruit them until [Ch.2], they will disappear from BG:EE.

 ➤ The Friendly Arm Inn[baldursgate.fandom.com]

⎈ Friendly
Arm Inn

✪ Friendly Faces at the Friendly Arm, ✪ The O.G. (1/4)
🤻 Jaheira 🙵 🤻 Khalid
☙ Speak to Khalid and Jaheira at the Friendly Arm Inn / Reunite with old friends

You just have to talk to them, recruiting is not necessary. Jaheira[baldursgate.fandom.com] and Khalid[baldursgate.fandom.com] give you the time-sensitive quest "➤ Jaheira and Khalid" if you recruit them, but there are no achievements linked to this quest. Be warned that if you don't talk to them before the end of [Ch.2, Nashkel Mines], they disappear from BG:EE.

Also, if you turn them down during the initial conversation, you cannot recruit them anymore, so you won't get "The O.G."! I will assume that you recruit them to keep them in the game (you can remove them right away) but this will prevent you from getting the “Flying Solo”. You can also safely postpone "The O.G." to SoD, where it is actually simpler to get it.

If you insist on getting “Flying Solo” and "The O.G." in this first run: you'll need Jaheira, Khalid, Dynaheir, Minsc and Safana in the same party with you. Continue the guide as normal and visit Nashkel and Nashkel Carnival, but postpone Nashkel Mines. Go to the [Interlude – Southwest] section instead to unlock Safana in the Lighthouse. Make a "Pre-Companions" save here, recruit her, head to Gnoll Stronghold and recruit Dynaheir, go to Nashkel and recruit Minsc, then come back here and recruit Khalid and Jaheira. Reload the "Pre-Companions" checkpoint and continue to Nashkel Mines.

✪ All the Options (1/3)
🤻 Dorn
☙ Have Neera, Dorn, and Rasaad in the party at the same time
Talk to Dorn in the Friendly Arm Inn to enable his quest. You cannot recruit him yet.

IMPORTANT: the wiki doesn’t say this but you actually need to talk to him here unlock him later!

You can recruit him after random encounter that happens while travelling around. He returns to Friendly Arm Inn if rejected and can still be recruited later.

Notice that Dorn is an evil character and may conflict with your party. Dorn is romanceable and gives ➤ Dorn Il-Khan[baldursgate.fandom.com] if he stays in the party long enough. The last part of his questline rewards you with
✦ Albruin [Bastard Sword +1, Immunity to Poison]
✦ Elven Chain Mail [AC 5, does NOT disable spellcasting, -5~20% Thieving skills]
✦ Golden Girdle of Urnst [-3 AC vs. Slashing]
but it can only be completed at the beginning of [Ch.5]. I will bring this up then.

This is essential for any party with an arcane caster
✦ Evermemory [Ring, doubles the number of Tier 1 Arcane Spells slots]
It is hidden in this area[baldursgate.fandom.com].

 ➤ Travel to Nashkel[baldursgate.fandom.com]

 ➤ A Rogue Ogre[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Joia's Flamedance Ring[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Landrin and the Spiders[baldursgate.fandom.com]
➤ Some journal entries gathered from rumours, called "Rising Tensions with Amn" and "Troubles in the Region"

⎈ Coast Way

Just a couple of items here:
  ➤ Hidden in this area[baldursgate.fandom.com]
✦ Ring of Princes [-1 AC and Save]
➤ An ogre called Unshey near the bottom of the map
✦ Elves' Bane [Belt, -3 AC vs piercing and missiles]
Chapter 1 - Center

⎈ Beregost

✪ All the Options (2/3)
🤻 Neera
☙ Have Neera, Dorn, and Rasaad in the party at the same time.

There is no particular dialogue choice needed to recruit Neera[baldursgate.fandom.com] in Beregost. She will give you some quests if she stays in your party long enough, unlocking Adoy’s Enclave[baldursgate.fandom.com]. There is an entertaining continuity between Neera’s quest here and SoD, but that is very optional.

If you don't want her in your party, she will wait in Friendly Arm Inn.

✪ He Started It / ✪ Use Your Own Words
Once you meet a person called Marl, he will talk to you but you have a chance to save before replying to him.
Teach Marl a lesson
Just threaten and kill him... which is VERY likely what you did anyways, right...? -.-"

or
Convince Marl to back down without resorting to violence.
You can pacify Marl with 1,1,3,3,1 dialogue options.

✪ Mercenary of the Month / ✪ Worst Bodyguard Ever
🤻 Garrick
Agree to help a fellow named Garrick in Beregost. You will automatically follow him, but you can save before deciding between two choices.
Side with Silke against the mercenaries in Beregost
or
Side with the mercenaries against Silke in Beregost
Garrick[baldursgate.fandom.com] has no particular quests otherwise.

✪ Foreshadowing?
☙ Bring Firebead a copy of "The Fateful Coin."

Concerns ➤ A Book for Firebead[baldursgate.fandom.com]

When you talk to Firebead Elvenhair in his house in Beregost with either GW or Imoen, he should ask for the book "History of the Fateful Coin". If you can’t find his house, it is across of Feldpost Inn. You can buy the book in the Feldepost's Inn or loot from the house south of his.
This quest is practically compulsory for new players, as it rewards you with
✦ Scroll Case [stores up to 100 scrolls]

🤻 Kagain
You can find him in his shop in Beregost[baldursgate.fandom.com]. He gives ➤ Entar's Son[baldursgate.fandom.com], but no achievement.

⛃ Thunderhammer Smithy[baldursgate.fandom.com]
In the southeastern corner of Beregost, sells excellent items including
 ✦ Shadow Armor
 ✦ Full Plate Amor
 ✦ Several +1 equipment

⛃ Feldpost's Inn[baldursgate.fandom.com]
In the western section of Beregost, sells
 ✦ Protector+1
 ✦ Bastard Sword +1
 ✦ Composite Longbow +1

In the second floor of Felpost Inn, find Algernon and pickpocket the
 ✦ Cloak of Algernon [CHA+2, Charm 1/day]
This is technically part of the Steal Algernon's Cloak[baldursgate.fandom.com] quest which is just available in [Ch.5]. You can also kill Algernon (-5 Rep.) or hold it for later when you have a good thief. This cloak helps a lot with several achievements, including “Lover’s Redemption” in [Ch.6]. I'll bring this up again in [Ch.5], after Alora (Pick Pocket 90) is available.

Make a detour to High Hedge[baldursgate.fandom.com], west of Beregost. It harbors arguably the best magic shop in the game. You won't have money this early in the game, but you can buy the
✦ Potion Case [stores up to 100 potions]
for 170~300g asap. If you do visit, do *not* talk to a Kivian character, as he has a time-sensitive quest you cannot complete yet. Both High Hedge and Kivian will be addressed in [Ch.3].

 ➤ Gurke's Cloak[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Half-ogres Near Beregost[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Mirianne's Husband[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Perdue's Short Sword[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Zhurlong's Missing Boots[baldursgate.fandom.com]

⎈ South Beregost Road

Not much here either; there is a there is a hobgoblin here who drops
✦ Boots of Stealth [+20% Move Silently, +15% Hide in Shadows]
(part of "Zhurlong's Missing Boots", quest not required).

⎈ North Nashkel Road

Not much going on here either, but you probably have to pass through it. There is only one quest happening here:
 ➤ Colquetle's Family Amulet[baldursgate.fandom.com]

Once you arrive in Nashkel (City, Carnival or Mines), [Ch.1] ends - nothing tangible changes, though. I will also assume that you arrive through Nashkel City, though it is possible to arrive via Nashkel Carnival first, or even Nashkel Mines if you got chronically lost on the way.
Chapter 2 - South

⎈ Nashkel City

✪ All the Options (3/3)
🤻 Rasaad
☙ Have Neera, Dorn, and Rasaad in the party at the same time.

There is no particular choice needed to recruit Rasaad[baldursgate.fandom.com]. He gives ➤ The Enemies of My Friend[baldursgate.fandom.com] if he stays in your party long enough. His quest will eventually reward you with
 ✦ Big-Fisted Belt [STR 19, INT 6, cursed]
This is the third of the companions needed for the "All the Options" (or second, if you haven’t got Dorn yet). You can recruit him later.

✪ The O.G. (2/4)
🤻 Minsc / 🤻 Edwin
☙ Reunite with old friends.

The decision is between Minsc[baldursgate.fandom.com] & Edwin[baldursgate.fandom.com]. Recruiting them will trigger two conflicting, time-sensitive quests Edwin and Dynaheir[baldursgate.fandom.com] and Rescuing Dynaheir[baldursgate.fandom.com] as well as achievements. They *can* be both in the party. You can unlock both achievements with Edwin only, but not with Minsc only. I recommend leaving both here, I'll address this in [Ch.3, Gnoll Stronghold]. You'll need Minsc for "The O.G.", but not Edwin.

Edwin's exclusive item
 ✦ Edwin’s Amulet [1 extra spell / Tier]
is quite powerful, but he is evil and irritating.

✪ The Stone Cleric (*)
☙ Return the stone maiden at the Nashkel carnival to life.

Get a “Stone to Flesh” scroll in the Temple of Helm (168g or less) before the next part. You'll also need some for [Ch.3], so buy a bunch if you have the gold.

There is a very expensive, light, non-metalic amor for free:
 ✦ Anhkeg Plate Mail[baldursgate.fandom.com] [AC 1]
It is hidden here[baldursgate.fandom.com].

 ➤ Investigating the Nashkel Mines[baldursgate.fandom.com]
➤ Addressed later: Joseph's Wife, Prism the Sculptor, The Tale of Captain Brage

 ➤ Oublek the Bounty Officer[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Payment Denied![baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Winter Wolf Pelts[baldursgate.fandom.com]

⎈ Carnival

✪ The Stone Cleric
🤻 Brawen
☙ Return the stone maiden at the Nashkel carnival to life.

Concerns ➤ Brawen Rescued[baldursgate.fandom.com].

If you didn't get the "Stone to Flesh" scroll earlier from Nashkel, you can get one from Zeke right next to the “Stone Maiden” for 500g. Just use the scroll on the statue to unlock the achievement and Brawen.

⛃ Carnival Shops

Several shops selling amongst other things
✦ One Gift Lost [6d6 Fire DMG, 15ft radius]
✦ The Protector [-1 AC and Saves]
✦ Topsider’s Crutch [infravision], good to have at least 1 in the party
✦ Shield Amulet [50 charges of “Shield” Spell]

✪ Godlike (*)
☙ Increase an attribute score to 25

Go to the Potions Tent and buy either the Red or Violet potion and use it on GW.

IMPORTANT: you cannot get this achievement in Story Mode, because your STR is set to 25 You’ll have to disable it to get the achievement.

➤ The Great Gazib and The Amazing Oopah[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Zordral's Witchhunt[baldursgate.fandom.com]

⎈ Nashkel Mines

✪ A Work of Art, ✪ Philistine
☙ Protect Prism until he completes his masterpiece 🙵 Return the stolen emeralds to Oublek

↷ Part of ➤ Prism the Sculptor[baldursgate.fandom.com], quest not required.

Find Prism in this area (not the dungeon) and accept his request. To complete quest and the “Philistine” achievement, return the emeralds to Oublek in Nashkel. If you don’t have them after unlocking "A Work of Art": you can pick them up from Prism’s sculpture after he dies. If you want
 ✦ Varscona [Long Sword+2, +1 Cold DMG]
then make sure to fight Greywolf.

✪ Sobering News
Return Joseph’s greenstone ring to his wife

↷ Part of ➤ Joseph's Wife[baldursgate.fandom.com], quest not required.

You should find "Joseph's greenstone ring" on the floor as soon as you arrive in the 3rd level of the Mine. Return to it to his wife in Nashkel to get the achievement. If you haven't visited her yet: she is the westmost house: Joseph’s House[baldursgate.fandom.com]. Beware, the door is locked!

Important: [Ch.2] will finish soon-ish, in the 4th level of the Mine Dungeon. This means that Jaheira & Khalid will be gone if you didn’t recruit them yet (same with Xzar and Montarion).

🤻 Xan
He is in the 4th level of the Mine Dungeon. It is difficult to miss him, but if you do, he is right next to where you fight Mulahey.

✪ Victory is Mine
Killed Mulahey and ended the threat to the Nashkel mines

Complete the Nashkel Mines Dungeon and [Ch.2]. Don’t forget to pick up
✦ Honorary Ring of the Sune [one extra slot for Tier 1,2,3 & 4 Priest spell]
 ✦ Talo's Gift [Boots, 50% Lightning Res.]
There is an exit from the last level directly to the surface if you don’t feel like walking back: exit Mulahey’s cave, walk north around the edges. You’ll find some oozes to fight. Kill them or just walk past them, the exit is ahead.

➤ Confronting Tranzig[baldursgate.fandom.com]. This should unlock after you loot the chest next to the Boss and read the letters. This quest continues in Beregost. I will adress this in the [Ch.3] section after two interludes.

 ➤ Kylee's Dagger[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ The Tainted Ore[baldursgate.fandom.com]

Interlude - Southwest [Ch.3]

⎈ Fire Leaf Forest

This is very skippeable, but you’ll need to pass either through here or Xvart Village to reach Dryad Falls. In the forest you can find:
 ➤ Albert and His Dog[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Bandits Vax and Zal
    ✦ Dale’s Protector [Bracers, -2 THAC0 with ranged weapon]
➤ Bandit Sendai and her group
✦ Telbar Studded Armor [Leather Armor+2, AC 5]
I will not even address ⎈ Xvart Village[baldursgate.fandom.com] in this guide, as there are no quests and no relevant loot either.

⎈ Dryad Falls

✪ Only Mostly Dead
☙ Return Drienne's cat

Concerns ➤ Drienne's Cat[baldursgate.fandom.com].

You don’t have to find Drienne first to get the quest, but since you can’t send her cat to her by mail, you’ll have to find her afterwards (duh). Click here for her location.[baldursgate.fandom.com]
If you’re having troubles finding her cat, it is at the bottom of the waterfall where she is standing.

➤ Dryad of the Cloud Peaks[baldursgate.fandom.com], agree to help a dryad northeast of this area
✦ Destroyer of Hills [Belt, -4 AC vs bludgeoning]
 ➤ Prisoner of the Gnolls[baldursgate.fandom.com]
✦ Chesley Crusher [Halberd+2, 1d10+6 DMG, APR set to 1] if you kill Ingot

⎈ Gnoll Stronghold

Enemies respawn!
Bring Edwin here for one achievement!

Spoiler Map[baldursgate.fandom.com]

✪ Untoucheable (1/4)
✦ Gauntlets of Dexterity
Choose violence always against Gnarl and Hairtooth, so you can loot
✦ Gauntlets of Dexterity [DEX 18]
This helps with “Untoucheable” later, on top of being extremely useful: DEX 18 gives a -4 AC (details here)[baldursgate.fandom.com]

✪ Witch Slayer / ✪ Witch Savior, ✪ The O.G. (3/4)
🤻 Dynaheir

You’ll need Edwin in your party to get “Witch Slayer”, but you can also get “Witch Saviour” with him. Save before approaching Dynaheir. If you’re having troubles finding her like 80% of the players, check the spoiler map provided above. The choices are:
Send the witch Dynaheir to the afterlife
vs
Set the witch Dynaheir free from her prison
S/R to get both paths. You’ll need Dynaheir to get “The O.G.” though, or you can postpone it to SoD.

✦ Tome of CHA+1

In a cave in this area (check spoiler map).

⎈ Archaeological Site

✪ Judge, Jury, Executioner / ✪ Second Chance

↷ Part of ➤ The Tale of Captain Brages[baldursgate.fandom.com], quest not required.

Save as you’re approaching the middle-ish of the map. If you talk to Laryssa, you may save immediately after. If you’re unlucky and find Captain Brage first, it is too late to quicksave as he approaches you immediatelly. Deal with the encounter and reload to get the other path.

Put an end to Captain Brage's mad rampage
The achievement unlocks as soon as Brage dies. There is a quest reward from Oublek if you carry his body back to Nashkel. Some people reported that his body does not spawn after you kill him. If that happensyou deserve ityou’ll have to reload the fight.

Convince Captain Brage to return to the temple of Helm
The non-violent approach triggers the Brage's Life Spared[baldursgate.fandom.com] quest. Tell Laryssa you’ll save him (if she asks you) and then answer his riddle correctly. The answer is… death. You’ll be teleported back to the Temple of Helm in Nashkel and unlock “Second Chance”.

If you’re wondering what gives better rewards: the peaceful solution, both in the afterlife and in the game. You can also kill both Brage and Nalin afterwards for even more rewards and no Rep. penalty, so long as you don't care about rewards in the afterlife.

✪ This Belongs in a Museum, ✪ Gallors Plot, ✪ Faerûnian Idol

In the middle-ish of this area you’ll find an archaeological dig site. Once you approach, agree to help Charlston and Gallor. Enter the cave right there and finish a trivial fight. Save before talking to Charlston, as you’ll have to make a choice.
Assist Gallor 🙵 Charlston Nib at the archaeological dig
Kill Charlston and head outside to talk to Gallor to unlock both "Gallors Plot" and "This Belongs in a Museum".
There is no achievement for telling Charlston about Gallor’s plot and thus save him, but there is Rep. penalty. Plus, think of his family and friends who love him very much for some reason.

The “Faerûnian Idol” comes next. Make sure you loot the Idol before you leave the cave. Save the game and… good luck…
Find and keep an artifact at the archaeological dig
The Doomsayer[baldursgate.fandom.com] is a rather powerful enemy and is only damaged by enchanted weapons. You have to kill him for the achievement. Have fun!
Interlude - West [Ch.3]

⎈ Lighthouse

✪ The O.G. (4/4)
🤻 Safana
☙ Reunite with old friends.

Agree to help Safana[baldursgate.fandom.com] with her search, and you’ll get the time-sensitive ➤ Safana’s Treasure Hunt[baldursgate.fandom.com] which you can complete in the Lighthouse itself. If you already completed her quest, she just stays in the party without any time constraints.

Safana is the last companion required for the O.G. achievement.

↷ Part of ➤ Safana’s Treasure Hunt, quest not required.

In the “Black Alaric’s Cave” in this area:
✦ Tome of CON+1, “Manual of Bodily Health”
 ✦ Relair’s Mistake[baldursgate.fandom.com] [turn into a wolf, 1/day]

 ➤ A Child in the Lighthouse[baldursgate.fandom.com]

⎈ Red Canyon

↷ Part of ➤ Bassilus the Murderer[baldursgate.fandom.com], quest not required now.

Head southeast and deal with a necromancer who seem to have eaten one too many pills. It can be a tough fight at low levels. Good thing you've been leveling up! To acquire & finish the quest, loot the "Bassilus Holy Symbol" and talk with Kelddath in the Temple east of Beregost.
 ✦ Ashideena [Warhammer+2, +1 electrical DMG]
 ✦ 1,000 XP, 5,000g

Find a Hobgoblin called Zargal. After politely asking his internal organs with the tip of your sword, he drops the
✦ Whistling Sword [Short Sword +2]

 ➤ Madness Most Fowl[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Melicamp the Chicken[baldursgate.fandom.com]

⎈ High Hedge

This place was briefly mentioned in [Ch.1], so you could hurry there and get Potion Case. Now I’ll address it in more details.

⛃ High Hedge Estate[baldursgate.fandom.com]

This is argueably the best shop in the game, it sells, amongst others:
✦ Potion Case [stores 100 potions] for only 300g
✦ The Claw of Kazgaroth [-1 AC, -2 CON, cursed]
✦ Robe of Good/Evil Archmagi [AC 5, -1 Saves, 5% magic resistance] the best robe for arcane spellcasters for a very long time
✦ magical arrows, bullets and darts
 ✦ most scrolls

✪ Untoucheable (2/4)
Have an Armor Class of -15 or lower

You can pickpocket one Potion of Mind Focusing [+3 DEX, stacks] from Thalantyr in the High Hedge Estate and you can buy the Claw of Kazgaroth. This will continue in [Ch.5].

🤻 Kivan

He gives you the time-sensitive quest “Kivan and Tazok” which coincides with the main quest and can only be completed in [Ch.3]. Thanks to the geodesical characteristic of this guide, it is probably safe to take him now, unless you're planning to explore around before heading to the Bandit Camp.

⎈ Shipwreck Coast

This map can only be accessed from High Hedge. There is not much, but since you're here...

Find Shoal the Nereid and save. Talk to her. Depending on how the events unfold, you'll be rewarded with
✦ Gift of Peace [Helmet, -1 Saves, protect against crits., +20% elemental resistance]
Check this link for more details[baldursgate.fandom.com]
Chapter 3 - Northeast

Before continuing, make sure you unlock the “Bandit Camp” map location. All other locations should be already available since [Ch.1]. To unlock it, follow the main quest line, "Confronting Tranzig". If you are having troubles:
➤ go to the “Jovial Juggler” in Beregost and talk to Captain Vai
➤ go to the “Feldpost’s Inn” in Beregost and confront Tranzig. Kill him or spare him, doesn’t matter, just read the letter he gives you or loot it from his body.
Make all preparations and pass through the Temple east of Beregost to get some supplies (cough, cough Stone to Flesh scrolls, cough) and let’s go!

⎈ Mutamin’s Garden

Anon: "But Benny, you can come here right of the bat in [Ch.1] for buckets of XP!"
Benny: "Shhhh... just enjoy the ride, baby 😘"

After this traumatizing mental image, you're ready for Mutamin's Garden. You can opt for the lubeless version, or you can prepare with the following spoilers.
➤ you’ll be fighting basilisks, so get Stone to Flesh scrolls ready. There are 7 Basilisks and 2 Greater Basiliks here
➤ there is a friendly Ghoul called Korax that can help you in this map. He is in the West of the map, is immune to petrification and also paralyzes enemies he hits. If you stop to rest, Korax will turn hostile.
➤ there is a relatively though encounter here with one of the many assassins attempting on your life. You probably want to avoid it until you killed all Basiliks, lest Korax dies fighting them

Spoiler Map[baldursgate.fandom.com]

✪ Unpetrified
☙ Restore Tamah to life

You'll need one Stone to Flesh scroll for this. Check the spoiler map for her location. She will reward you with +1 Rep. If you’re nice about the reward.

🤻 Shar-Teel
Shar-Teel[baldursgate.fandom.com] doesn't give any particular quest nor achievements. There is a tiny benefit from having her in your party in [Ch.7] but she is chaotic evil. If you don't know what that means, think Amber Heard. She will demand to fight a male party member before joining.

If you have daddy/mommy issues, check the spoiler map for her location.

➤ Defeat Kirian and his group
✦ Golden Girdle [-3 AC vs Slashing], find and kill

⎈ Larswood

✪ Entertainer, also ✪ Unpopular (*),
✪ Newer Kids on the Block (*), ✪ Grub… Doubled (*)
🤻 Baeloth
☙ Find Baeloth the Entertainer and convince him to join your party.

Baeloth[baldursgate.fandom.com] can be found by a tower ruin south fo this area, but only if GW has 10,000 XP or more. You need to trigger an... entertaining event and listen to him until your ears bleed, so bring a chair or something.

He is evil, but as a drow, he has 50% magic resistance and he starts with some pretty good items too. He goes to Friendly Arm Inn if rejected.

VERY IMPORTANT: do not kill him, or you’ll miss several achievements in SoD involving him and/or M’khiin! I will address all these achievements in the SoD, in [Ch.8+]

 ➤ Defeat Osmadi
✦ Backbiter [Spear +3, speed factor 3, -3 HP per hit, cursed]

⎈ Peldvale

🤻 Viconia
Viconia[baldursgate.fandom.com] can be found in the northwest corner here. She can be recruited here now or later but if you talk to her and reject her, she disappears from BG:EE.

She has a 50% magic resistance, which makes her a powerful cleric. Beware that she is evil, so she may conflict with your party.

She has indeed been caught shouting "lululul, 4chan!" a number of times while charging into battle with blood in her eyes. Maybe you don’t want such a psycho in your party after all. ”Lil alurl! For Sharn!” – I know, abbil, I know

⎈ Bandit Camp

There are a lot of huts and enemies to kill here, but only one unmisseable achievement. Have fun!

✪ Bandits Banished
☙ Ended the bandit threat to the Sword Coast.

Continue the main storyline to complete [Ch.3]. Make sure to collect some of the nice loot in the process:
 ✦ Full Plate Armor
✦ Legacy of the Master [Bracers, +1 THAC0, +2 DMG]
 ✦ Potion of Magic Blocking
 ✦ Deadshot [Longbow+2]
 ✦ Spell Thrust Scroll

Make sure you unlock this quest before leaving the Bandit Camp:
 ➤ A Hidden Base in the Cloakwood[baldursgate.fandom.com]
If you're having troubles, loot the chest inside of the main tent and read the notes.
Interlude - East [Ch.4]

⎈ Gullykin

✪ Scent of a Kobold
☙ Discover who let the dogs out kobolds into Gullykin.

↷ Part of ➤ Firewine Bridge and Gullykin[baldursgate.fandom.com] from Gondolar Luckyfoot, but not required.

The tl;dr version is: Enter Jenkal’s home, the westmost circular hut in the village. Go to the basement and talk to Jenkal. Say that he “smells of Kobols”. There is a secret passage in Jenkal’s basement that will takes you straight up to the end of Firewine Ruins. Save before entering, because you’re about to face a powerful foe!

The chill version: just explore as you wish. This continues in [Ch.4, Firewine Bridge].

➤ Assassin Molkar and his band
✦ Mail of the Dead [Chainmail +2], one of the best armor for bards

⎈ Firewine Bridge

✪ Scent of a Kobold (*)

This involves the quest Firewine Ruins[baldursgate.fandom.com] given by Gondolar Luckyfoot in Gullykin, but you don’t need the quest.

The target here is the Firewine Ruins, a dungeon in this area. You can access it via the shortcut mentioned in the Gullykin section, or
cross the bridge from northwest to southeast. The dungeon entrance is a few meters to the right of the end of the bridge

The loot there is a bit disappointing, but hey, XP is XP. At the end of the dungeon you should get the “Scent of a Kobold”, but if you don’t: what actually triggers it is the interaction with Jenkal; there is a secret passage at the end of the dungeon leading to Jenkal’s house. If you didn't confront him in Gullykin, confront him now

↷ Part of ➤ Ghostly Knights in Firewine[baldursgate.fandom.com], quest not required.

If you're unhappy with the effort here, there is an exploit which gives you
 ✦ Dead Shot [Longbow +2]
✦ Plate of the Dark [Full Plate +1]
 ✦ Full Plate Armor
✦ various +1 armors and weapon
✦ 5x Helmet of Charm Protection!

For that you need to
 ➤ Kill the immortal Ghosts!
➤ Magic Resistance (Tier 5 Priest Spell, only obtainable by lvl 9 single-class druids) to actually LOWER their magic resistance. If you don't have a Druid GW or custom Companion, you'll have to wait for Faldorn in [Ch.4, Cloakwood Druids]
➤ Cloudkill (Tier 5 Mage Spell, lvl 9 mage) since the ghosts are immune to all other types of damage
➤ collect the seven Dragon Balls unholy amounts of patience

Find and defeat Meilum and his group for
 ✦ Legacy of the Master[Bracers, -1 THAC0, +2 DMG]
the best bracer in for melee/ranged builds.

⎈ Lonely Peaks

✪ Save the Cow!
☙ Save Hulrik's cow.

In the southern portion of Lonely Peaks area, there will be a group of Xvart abusing a cow. Unbeknown to them, there is no cow level[en.wikipedia.org].

Click here for a spoiler of the location[baldursgate.fandom.com]. You need to act fast. Once you kill the last Xvart, if the cow survived, you get the achievement.

 ➤ Ogre Hunting[baldursgate.fandom.com]

⎈ Ulcaster

✪ The Written Word
☙ Appease the ghost in the Ulcaster ruins
Concerns ➤ Tomes of Magic[baldursgate.fandom.com]

Wander around in Ulcaster around the ruins above the hill on the northeastern section of the map to find this (non-aggressive) ghost. Talk to him multiple times to get the quest.

He requests a book which is inside of the Ulcaster Dungeon[baldursgate.fandom.com]. You can get the book before talking to him, but you’ll need to him him the book to get the achievement.

Sometimes it is difficult to find the ghost. The trick is to repeat “Bloody Mary” in front of a mirror three tim- oh, I guess I’m mixing the guides I’m writing. For this ghost, it helps resting close to the entrance a few times. Much simpler.

⎈ Spider Wood
Skip Spider Wood[baldursgate.fandom.com], but for the sake of completeness:
 ➤ Fahrington's Scroll[baldursgate.fandom.com]
➤ Denak & Red Wizards band
    ✦ The Victor[baldursgate.fandom.com] [Ring, 19 charges of Agannazar's Scorcher]

⎈ Valley of the Tombs
Skip Valley of the Tombs[baldursgate.fandom.com], but for the sake of completeness:
 ➤ Lamalha's Assassin Group
✦ Protector of the Second [Leather Armor+2]
 ➤ Hentold and the Revenant
✦ Heart of the Golem [Dagger +2]

⎈ Gibberling Mountains
You’ll visit Gibberling Mountains[baldursgate.fandom.com] for Dorn’s quest, otherwise just skip it. For the sake of completeness
➤ Hidden close to an NPC called Lena
    ✦ Batalista’s Passport [Ring, +40% Fire Res.]
 ➤ Samuel and Lena[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Samuel the Deserter[baldursgate.fandom.com]

⎈ Adoy's Enclave
You can only visit Adoy's Enclave[baldursgate.fandom.com] if you're pursuing Neera's questline. For the sake of completeness:
 ➤ Magreb and Rilsa[baldursgate.fandom.com]
Chapter 4 - Northwest

⎈ Cloakwood Lodge

✪ Forest Friend / ✪ Noble Assistant
Save before talking to Aldeth (he doesn’t approach you). You’ll to make a choice soon.

Side with Seniyad / Aldeth Sashenstar in the Cloakwood forest.
Reload and then chose the other one for both achievements. You have to talk to the Aldeth/Seniyad after doing the deed for the achievement to pop.

It is possible to take the diplomatic lane if Jaheira is in the party.
You might want to get the Kondar from Aldeth, a +1 Bastard Sword which is +3 versus Lycanthrope and Doppelgangers and yes, these are relevant enemy types! You can choose to kill Aldeth here now and loot it. If you side with him however, he will give you a quest and the sword in [Ch.5]

BUG: sometimes Palin and Balquo don’t get aggressive when you side with the druids. You have to kill them for the achievement, though.

🤻 Coran
Recruiting Coran[baldursgate.fandom.com] triggers the time-sensitive quest ➤ Coran the Wyvern Hunter so be mindful. In spite of his picture, he is NOT a serial killer (disappointing, I know).

He is considered one of the best archers Companions in BG:EE, as he has Longbow Mastery, which should not be possible for an Archer. Wait, what?!

⎈ Cloakwood Nest

Not much here either, but you have to walk past. You can find:
 ➤ Spiders in the Cloakwood.[baldursgate.fandom.com]
✦ Spider’s Bane[baldursgate.fandom.com] [Two-Handed Sword +2, immunity to to Web (but also Haste)]
➤ Southeastern part of the map,
    ✦ Rashad's Talon [Scimitar +2]

⎈ Cloakwood Druids

🤻 Eldoth / 🤻 Skie (1/2)
Eldoth is high af a bard found in the southern portion of this map. He gives the “Eldoth and Skie”[baldursgate.fandom.com] quest. For now it is all fine, but you can only unlock Skie as a companion if you complete this quest later.

Once you arrive for the first time in [Ch.5, Northwest Baldur’s Gate], you have one day to finish this quest, or Eldoth (and consequently Skie) are gone from BG:EE. I'll bring this up again later.

🤻 Faldorn
Faldorn[baldursgate.fandom.com] doesn’t give any quests, nor requires special dialogue options.

She is a pure druid, hence she is the only Companion if you want to pursue the exploit in Firewine Bridge.

⎈ Cloakwood Wyvern

Regardless if you’re doing the “Coran the Wyvern Hunter” quest or not, it is worthy to explore the Wyvern Cave[baldursgate.fandom.com].

This area has 90% chance to spawn a wyvern when you sleep, each giving 1400XP and a Wyvern Head. The heads weight 30lbs. Keldath pays 2000g for one (Temple east of Beregost) and you can sell the others for 500g a piece in High Hedge Estate.

Notice that after you sell a couple of heads, the price will decrease. The trick is: collect as many as you can, go to High Hedge, place them all in the inventory of one character and sell all of them at once for 500g a piece. Their lowest value is 200g anyways.

⎈ Cloakwood Mines

Be sure to not miss the
➤ Paws of the Cheetah[baldursgate.fandom.com] [doubles movement speed]
argueably the best boots in the game. It drops from an enemy called Drasus on the way to the mines (main storyline). There is a second one in [Ch.5] but depending on your choices, it can be far trickier to get.

🤻 Yeslick
Yeslick[baldursgate.fandom.com] is found in the level 2 of the Cloakwood Mine dungeon.

If you decline him, he will either be in Friendly Arm Inn or in the Jopalin’s Tavern in South Baldur’s Gate in [Ch.5]. If you do recruit him, you must complete his time-sensitive quest ➤ Flooding the Cloakwood Mine (see next entry). You're pretty close to it anyways.

✪ Water, Water Everywhere
Killed Davaeorn and shut down his mining operation.
Concerns ➤ Flooding the Cloakwood Mine[baldursgate.fandom.com]

After you complete the complete [Ch.4] when you kill Davaeorn, don't forget to loot a key and backtrack to the first level of the mines to complete this quest. Check BGW if you’re having troubles.

Now the way is open to Baldur’s Gate – finally! Before that, we'll have the [Interlude - North] and a word from our sponsors:
Hotel?
Interlude - North [Ch.5]

⎈ Fishing Village

🤻 Ajantis
Ajantis[baldursgate.fandom.com] doesn’t give any quests, nor requires special dialogue options. He will conflict pretty hard! with evil characters.

In this area you can also find several Anhkegs, on the surface and inside of the "Anhkeg Pit". You can bring their shell to Thundersmith in Beregost and have him craft it into
 ✦ Anhkeg Plate Mail
They also sell for quite a lot, but weight 100lb.

✪ Fishermen’s Friend / ✪ Fishermen’s Foe

Concerns ➤ The Fishermen and the Priestess[baldursgate.fandom.com] quest.

Walk up to the fishermen in the village and agree to help them. Head north to Wyrm’s Crossing and hike all the way up to northeast there. Talk to Tenya until she gets aggressive. This is necessary for the quest to proceed. She will interrupt the fight, explain her side of the story and ask for your help. Agree to help her and save the game. You can decide now whose side you're on:

Side with the fishermen near Baldur's Gate.
Kill her and return to the Fishing village to get the reward and “Fishermen’s Friend".

Return Tenya's stolen property.
Return to the Fishing Village to confront the fishermen and retrieve Tenya’s bowl. Return it to her in Wyrm’s Crossing and talk with Tenya to complete the achievement and the quest.

I strongly recommend choosing the later rather than the former, as this will help us a bit with another achievement soon.

While you're here, you can also walk past her house north, kill an Anhkeg and loot "Nester's Dagger" for another side quest later on.

 ➤ Ankheg Culling[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Farmer Brun's Missing Son[baldursgate.fandom.com]

⎈ Wyrm's Crossing

If you managed to progress far enough in Dorn’s quest, the last part takes place here, on the northwestern side of the bridge. It can be a tough battle, so progress with caution.

🤻 Quayle
Quayle[baldursgate.fandom.com] has no special dialogue required and does not give any special quest.

You can take a detour to visit ⎈ Farmland[baldursgate.fandom.com] now if you want, but there is only
✦ Cloak of Protection [-1 AC, -1 Saves]

 ➤ The Seven Suns[baldursgate.fandom.com]

I guess we're all anxious now and want to visit the Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Kitchen and I personally need to use Baldur's Bathroom. So without further ado...
Chapter 5 - Welcome to Baldur's Gate

Welcome to Baldur’s Gate – finally! It is HUGE (that’s what she said).
Although the game divides it into 9 districts, I will divide them into 10 since one of them is effectivelly split into two: “(Lower) Northeast”, shown in yellow and “(Upper) Northeast” shown in cyan in the map. Notice that you cannot reach one from the other – there is literally a wall between them. To complicate matters, it is not obvious how to reach each and trying to understand gives you an aneurism:
➤ “(Upper) Northeast”: travel from North, Northwest or… Southeast BG?
➤ “(Lower) Northeast”: travel from anywhere else (including from outside of BG)

For lack of a better criterion, the order I chose to visit the areas is based on a quest, so not very random at all.

Gather one, gather all, the Geodesical Tour through Baldur’s Gate city is about to start!

⎈ East Baldur’s Gate

This is where you start when you enter Baldur’s Gate. There are many more stores, quests, easter eggs, lootables and other things I do not mention here. So by all means: explore! Also, do yourself a favour and unlock Central and Southeastern BG before you move to next section.

⛃ Sorcerous Sundries[baldursgate.fandom.com]
✪ Untoucheable (2/4), ✪ Worst Day Ever (*)

It rivals High Hedge Estate in terms of repertoire. It sells most potions and scrolls. Most notably
✦ 3 x Potion of Mind Focusing [stacking +3 DEX]
✦ Potion of Defense [sets AC 0]
 ✦ Scroll of Contagion
✦ Potion of Master Thievery [+40 Pick Pocket & Lock Picking]
The first two are crucial for “Untoucheable”. With the scroll in hands you should be able to unlock “Worst Day Ever” now (assuming you have a Priest in your Party).

You’ll need some Potions of Master Thievery, as you’ll need to go shopping pickpocketing soon. Other useful stuff are
✦ Oil of Speed [like haste, stacks with Paws of the Cheetah!]
✦ Potion of Cloud & Storm Giant Strength (STR 23 and 24 resp.)
✦ Utility Potions: Power, Magic Blocking & Protection & Shielding

⛃ Black Lily[baldursgate.fandom.com]

This is in the Thieve’s Guild in this area, and she sells top tier items. It is worthy to get in, weather you’re a thief or not.
 ✦ Oil of Speed
 ✦ Potion of Master Thievery
 ✦ Potion of Power
✦ Utility Potions: Power, Magic Blocking & Protection & Shielding
✦ Potion of Cloud Giant Strength
Save before trying random passwords, once you’re asked for one. If you’re having troubles figuring it out: it is FAFHRD.

Inside of the Thieves’ Guild in a barrel next to Black Lily you can find the
✦ Tome of DEX+1, “Manual of Quickness of Action”

 ➤ A Corpse for Arkion[baldursgate.fandom.com]
➤ Alatos and the Thieves' Guild[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Arkion and Nemphre[baldursgate.fandom.com](also SE)
 ➤ Narlen's Heist[baldursgate.fandom.com]
➤ Larceny at the Hall of Wonders[baldursgate.fandom.com], will be addressed later

⎈ (Lower) Northeast Baldur’s Gate

➤ Marek and Lothandar[baldursgate.fandom.com] (1/5)

You should be immediatelly approached by Marek and Lothandar when you enter here.

There is a shortcut to solve the quest: nuke Marek with ranged attacks before he has the chance to talk to you. And then kill Lothandar too. No reputation penalty.

Both the “natural” and the shortcut can reward you with
✦ Protector of the Dryads [Shortbow +2]
✦ Paws of the Cheetah [Boots, doubles movement speed]
 ✦ Tome of WIS+1
 ✦ 10,000 XP
The only thing you’ll be missing by taking the shortcut is the XP reward. On the other side, getting the boots and tome from the quest is not trivial.

Since this is a geodesical but also a spoilerfree guide, I’ll go quantum and assume that you followed the quest and followedn’t at the same time.

WARNING: you may visit and travel past [Central BG], but unless otherwise instructed, DO NOT approach the tents in the middle, because it starts the timer for this quest!

WARNING: disregard the previous warning if you’re right now wiping Marek’s blood off your sword!

If you prefer to explore everything without worrying about timers, but also wants to do the quest, then reload the autosave (you got one right before travelling here) and only visit this area when you’re ready.

⎈ Northwest Baldur’s Gate

🤻 Skie (2/2)

If you’re planning to get Skie[baldursgate.fandom.com] as a companion, only enter this area with Eldoth in your party, as this triggers their time-sensitive quest “Eldoth and Skie”. If you forgot about him don’t worry, he forgot about himself too he is in Cloakwood Druids. You have one day bring Edloth to Skie in the Silvershield Mansion (second floor) after arriving in Northwest BG.

Skie is a very relevant NPC in SoD, but she is not a companion there.

➤ Searching the Helm of Balduran[baldursgate.fandom.com] (1/3)

This quest ultimately rewards
✦ Helm of Balduran [-1 AC, -1 Saves, -1 THAC0, +5 HP, protection against crits.]
✦ Cloak of Balduran [-1 AC, -1 Saves, +25% Magic Res.]
but you can get both without doing the quest.

If you choose pain, then find and break into Degrodel's Home[baldursgate.fandom.com] and say hi. The only way to get the quest is by asking what he wants from you.

If you just want the items: head straight to Helm and Cloak Inn, go up the stairs at the back. On the second floor there is a lootable on the wall. It is trapped! The Helmet is there. While you're here, talk to Gorpel Hind, as noted below. The Cloak will be addressed in part 4, in [(Upper) Northeast BG]

This quest has a lot of forks so I will just cover it more or less. Uses the BGW for details. I'll continue in [Central BG].

➤ Helm and Cloak Inn - talk to Gorpel Hind to trigger an event when you leave
✦ Battle Axe of Mauletar [Battle Axe +2]
 ➤ Laerta and Louise[baldursgate.fandom.com]
✦ Wand of Polymorphing [turns enemies into squirrels, lol]
 ➤ Quinn's Friend[baldursgate.fandom.com]
Chapter 5 - Inside of Baldur's Gate

⎈ Central Baldur’s Gate

➤ Searching the Helm of Balduran (2/3)

Enter Feloniu's Gist's Manor and resolve the situation as you wish. Depending on your choices, you'll get a letter with the location of the Helmet which you may get at your earliest convenience. If you didn't, you'll get this information in the next part, together with the Cloak in [(Upper) Northeast BG].

➤ Marek and Lothandar (2/5)

Once you’re ready to start the timer for this quest, approach the central tents. Lothander will talk to you. Be a doll and agree to help him during the dialogue.

As you learned from the him, the timer is not bad at all 10 full days. Travelling inside of Baldur’s Gate takes 0 hours and you can rest several times and still have time to spare. But travelling to Nashkel now is ill advised.

Just proceed as requested:
➤ Enter the Diviner tent ask how to help Lothander - you can only ask one question!
Proceed quest as instructed, namely, go to the Temple of Umberlee in South BG, but first we will pass through [West BG].

 ➤ Nadine and Euric[baldursgate.fandom.com]
✦ Necklace of Missiles [6d6 Fire DMG in 15ft radius]

⎈ West Baldur’s Gate

✪ Master Thief
Steal a telescope from the Hall of Wonders

↷ Part of ➤ Larceny at the Hall of Wonders, quest not required.

Just walz into the Hall of Wonder, save the game, unlock a cylindrical case in the ground floor a few meters away from the main entrance, loot a telescope, reload.

You might want to come at night instead, avoid alerting the guards, keep the telescope and bring it to Brevlik later in the Elfsong Tavern, but most important, meet a merry halfling called...

🤻 Alora
While you’re doing the quest above (or not) you may encounter the thief Alora[baldursgate.fandom.com] inside of the Hall of Wonders between 20h and 4h. Talk to her a couple of times and if you have enough CHA, she will suggest to join the party.

She comes with a powerful exclusive item
✦ Rabbit’s Foot [+2 Luck, -2 AC and several thief skill bonuses]
Sadly she is only available this late in the game and offers no quests of her own. She has Pick Pocket 90 and together with “Potion of Master Thievery”, she can easily steal most things in the game.

Hereafter I'll assume you have a powerful Pickpocketer in your party.

✪ Damsel Out of Distress
☙ Help Abela the nymph escape

↷ Part of ➤ The Captive Nymph[baldursgate.fandom.com]. The quest is not required, but you can get it in Central (from a nosy Lady Hannah), in North (from Ramazith) and here from a horny Ragefast.

Break into Ragefast’s House (north/northeast-ish of the area) and free a Nymph for the achievement. In [North BG] section I’ll focus on annoying Ramazith which is the continuation of this quest. There is a convoluted way to get one extra “Bracers of Defense” but I don’t think it is worth the hassle. Check the BGW for info.

✪ Reunion (1/2)
Bring Casson's body to Tremain

Part of ➤ Tremain's Son[baldursgate.fandom.com].

Look in the northwestern section for Varci Roaringhorn, agree to help and follow him. Continues in [South BG].

↷ Part of ➤ Marek and Lothander, quest is not required.

Inside of the pockets of Monsieur Chanthalas Ulbright you can find
✦ Tome of WIS+1, "Tome of Understanding"

If you're on the quest, don’t use it now as you might need it. There are non-skulldgerous ways to obtain this book in part 3 of the quest in [South BG].

Be sure to turn in some donations for his church to atone for the sin of stealing from a holy man who would have otherwise given you the book *-for free-*. You animal.

⎈ South Baldur’s Gate

➤ Marek and Lothandar (3/5)

Prepare the Potion of Master Thievery. Head to the Temple of Umberlee, southwest of this area.

Slip them 50g to talk with Jalantha, the high priestess. Talk to her and agree to do her bidding, then rush to pickpocket her. Your goal is to steal the Scroll of Gaes Removal. S/R as needed.
If you’re doing this without a thief, you’ll have to
➤ go back to Temple of Tymora in [West BG] and ask for/steal the "Tome of Understanding" from Chanthalas
➤ return here with the Tome and exchange for the Scroll
If you stole the Scroll AND the Tome, you’re safe to use the Tome now.

✪ Reunion (2/2)
Bring Casson's body to Tremain

Still in the Temple of Umberlee, talk to one of the priestess and ask for Tenya (the same from "Fishermen and the Priestess” [Ch.5, Wyrm’s Crossing]). Follow the conversation.

Return to Tremain in [West BG] for your reward and the achievement.

Enter the Ship “Low Lantern” and find a certain Desreta. Accept her proposition and loot
✦ Hands of Takkok [Bracers, STR 18/00]
the only equipable STR item in BG:EE!

 ➤ Brielbara's Baby[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Ghorak the Diseased[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Noralee's Gauntlets[baldursgate.fandom.com]
✦ Loot the "Xarrnous's Second Sword Arm" [Bracers, -1 THAC0] in front of the Temple of Umberlee. Quest not needed.

Chapter 5 - Still In Baldur's Gate

⎈ Southeast Baldur’s Gate

➤ Marek and Lothandar (4/5)

Head to the Blade & Stars Inn, in the northeastern portion of the map. Go to the second floor and save before talking to Lothandar.

Give him the Scroll of Geas Removal and read the dialogue. Done? He vanished, right? That’s because he is wearing the soon-to-be-yours
✦ Paws of the Cheetah
If you want to get the boots, reload and you’ll have to kill him AFTER giving him the scroll. If you have companions, you can use them to block the way. You can also try to charm him after giving the Scroll. I have managed to do it solo by charming an NPC and using it to block the path, but that was REALLY hard.

After you overcome the regret of not having taken the shortcut, proceed to the next part in [(Upper) Northeast BG].

 ➤ Arkion and Nemphre[baldursgate.fandom.com](also E)
 ➤ Arkion's Bloodstone Amulet[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Basilisk on the Loose[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ G'axir the Seer[baldursgate.fandom.com]
➤ The Great Book of the Unknowing[baldursgate.fandom.com], doesn't have a completion

⎈ (Upper) Northeast Baldur’s Gate

➤ Marek and Lothandar (5/5)

Head to the Blushing Mermaid Inn, right at the western entrance of this area. Deal with a brilliant assassin Larze which gives
 ✦ Xarrnous's Second Sword Arm [Bracer, -1 THAC0]

Continue to the second floor to finish this godforsaken quest. Don’t forget to loot the
✦ Protector of Dryads [Shortbow +2]
and the Antidote. Once the GW drinks it, the quest is over.

➤ Searching the Helm of Balduran (3/3)

Depending on your choices in the previous step you were directed here or not. As usual: you don't need the quest.

Still in the Blushing Mermain, in the ground floor, go to the west wing and walk through a door leading southwest direction. You're in the Undercellar now! Look for a lady called Quenash. Depending on your previous choices and reaction, she will
➤ tell you where the Helmet is
 ➤ give you the Cloak
 ➤ shoo you
Or you can... pickpocket it from her. Either way, now you should have...
 ✦ Cloak of Balduran

Get the Helmet now (if you haven't yet) and decide if you want to finish the quest back with Degrodel in [Northwest BG] for some extra XP. If you do, check the BGW on how to maximize your rewards.

Shlimes and Oozshes[baldursgate.fandom.com]

⎈ North
Baldur’s Gate

Break into Ramazith’s Tower in the northeast section of the map.

If you freed the nymph earlier during "The Captive Nymph", Ramazith will be furious and become hostile. He’ll teleport to the top of his tower. Fight your way up to kill him. You can now get
✦ The Amplifier [an extra Tier 2 Arcane Spell slot]
 ✦ Guard's Ring [-2 AC, -2 Save]
✦ Tome of INT+1, "Tome of Clear Tought"
The tome is in a bookshelf in the top floor.

✪ Untoucheable
☙ Have an Armor Class of -15 or lower

If you have Swashbuckler+Priest and got all items as I instructed, you can finally unlock this achievement. Remember that this needs to be done with the GW. If necessary, export the relevant characters with the relevant items.

Find Jardak's home (west of Ramazith's Tower) and break in. It doesn't matter how you deal with the Butler on the first floor, just head to the second floor.

Jarkal, who has a Potion of Genius, does not seem to drink it very often. After you defeat him you can loot
✦ Helm of the Noble [-1 AC, +1 CHA, protect against crits.]

This is just a reminder that you can try again to get ✦ Algernon's Cloak from Feldpost Inn in Beregost. You should have plenty of thieves available now (Safana, Imoen, Alora, maybe Skie). C’mon!

 ➤ A Bard's Request[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ A Contract Killing[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Petrine's Cat[baldursgate.fandom.com]
✦ Cloak of Protection [-1 AC, -1 Saves]

⎈ Southwest Baldur’s Gate

With all of these, you’re free to explore the main and side quests and all NPCs and dialogues in BG. You can do the section [Interlude - Endgame] either now or after (but not during) [Ch.6].
Decide what you want to do before proceeding! The quests below will trigger [Ch.6].

🤻 Tiax

Tiax[baldursgate.fandom.com] can be found in front of the Flaming Fist Headquarters. No specific dialogue choice is needed and he doesn’t give you any quest.

✪ On The Trail
Reported Rieltar's activities to Duke Eltan in Baldur's Gate

You get this once you complete [Ch.5] and trigger [Ch.6].

Follow the main storyline quests (see section below) or just skip the quests and request to talk to Duke Eltan.

 ➤ Seven Suns[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Missing Citizens[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Investigating the Iron Throne[baldursgate.fandom.com]

 ➤ A Ring for a Lady[baldursgate.fandom.com]
➤ Investigating the Merchants' League Estate[baldursgate.fandom.com]
    ✦ 5,000 XP,
✦ Kondar [Bastard Sword +1, +3 vs Shapeshifters]

Interlude - Endgame

⎈ Ulgoth’s Beard

➤ Balduran’s Final Voyage[baldursgate.fandom.com]

Talk to Mendas in the Southwest of this area to unlock this questline. This unlocks the ⎈ Isle of Balduran[baldursgate.fandom.com] (link contains spoilers) and a lot of quests which I will not address here:
 ➤ Durlyle's Task[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Evalt's Missing Brother[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Farthing's Dolly[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Flowers for Delainy[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Jondal's Murder[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Karoug and the Wolfweres[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Maralee's Child[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Palin and the Monsters[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Returning Dradeel's Spellbook[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ The Mysterious Island[baldursgate.fandom.com]

This chain is long, has no achievements and no incredible loot, but it is fun and addresses a lot of the lore of the Sword Coast.

⛃ Ulgoth’s Beard Inn[baldursgate.fandom.com]
This shop has some interesting items for sale, such as
✦ Greenstone Amulet [protection against mind controlling, 10 charges]
✦ Cloak of Displacement -2 Save against Death, Breath and Wand]
✦ Captive Audience [20 charges of Domination, bards only]

✪ An Ancient Evil (2/2)
Destroyed the demon Aec'Letec
↷ Part of ➤ Recovering "Soultaker"[baldursgate.fandom.com], quest not required now.

Talk to Hurgan in the inn to get this if you want. The first part is in [Durlag's Tower]. After completing that one, return here.

Returning here with the Soultaker in your possession, you’ll be intercepted by cultists. You can either fight all of them, or give them the knife and fight most of them. Either way, talk to Hurgan in the inn again.

Continue the quest until completion. This acts as a “end of the chapter achievement” for the mini-expansion.

 ➤ A Curious Business Proposal[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ A Tour of Durlag's Tower[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Galken's Wardstone[baldursgate.fandom.com]

 ➤ The Reclusive Scholar[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ The Sea Charts[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Therella's Missing Son[baldursgate.fandom.com]

⎈ Durlag's Tower

And thus finally it is time to brave the Durlag’s Tower! This is the longest and most challenging dungeon in the game.
It is recommended (but not necessary) to visit Ulgoth’s Beard first to get several quests and trivia about Durlag’s Tower. I will just list some of the notable loot, but you can check the following for details:
 ➤ Durlag's Tower Walkthrough[baldursgate.fandom.com]
 ➤ Durlag's Tower- All Treasure[baldursgate.fandom.com] (spoilerlight)

Rooftop
 ✦ Rashad's Talon [Scimitar +2]
Floor 3
✦ Tome of WIS+1, "Tome of Understanding"
Labyrinth 2
✦ Durlag's Goblet [Full Heal but inflicts Fear*]
✦ Kiel's Helmet [Boosts Morale, Immune to Fear]
✦ Kiel's Morning Star [+3, inflicts Berserk (+2 DMG), Cursed]
 ✦ Kiel's Buckler [-1 AC, DEX+1]
Fear lasts for 12h. Dorn is immune to fear and some other gear (e.g. Kiel's Helmet) and spells can tackle that too
Labyrinth 3
 ✦ The World's Edge [Two-handed Sword +3]
✦ Wizard Slayer [Battle Axe +1, target gets 80% spellcasting failure, Dispel Magic 1/day]
Labyrinth 4
 ✦ Arla's Dragonbane [Sling +3]
✦ Cloak of the Shield [-1 AC, -5 AC vs Missiles, 50 charges]
 ✦ Karajah's Life and Death [Leather Armor+3
 ✦ Krotan's Skullcrusher [Mace +2]
 ✦ Pellan's Shield [Large Shield +2]
✦ Staff of Striking [Quarterstaff +3, +6 DMG but only 25 charges]
 ✦ The Burning Earth [Longsword +1/2/3/4 vs Normal/Lycanthrope & Trolls/Winter Wolf/Undead, +1 Fire DMG.]
Labyrinth 5
✦ Helmet of Opposite Alignment [Invert Alignment, Cursed]
✦ Soultaker Dagger, quest item, needed for "An Ancient Evil" achievement bellow

✪ The Legend of Durlag's Tower
☙ Explore Durlag's Tower and defeat the evil growing within it

Self-explanatory.

✪ An Ancient Evil (1/2)
Destroyed the demon Aec'Letec

↷ Part of "➤ Recovering 'Soultaker'", quest not required.

Loot the Soultaker dagger after the final fight. Once you’re ready, make sure to save and return to Ulgoth’s Beard to continue to part 2.

⎈ Fisherman’s Lake

Now that you have Durlag’s Tower loot, you might be up to the challenge. If you’re evil and/or extremely greedy, you can try your luck in this location. There is an encounter here with a hero that has the best Armor in BG:EE and SoD and two excellent Scimitars. He is VERY tough to kill without exploits, but...
✦ Mithral Chain Mail[baldursgate.fandom.com] [Chain Mail +4, does not disable Thief skills]
 ✦ Twinkle [Scimitar +3, -2 AC]
 ✦ Icingdeath [Scimitar +3, +50% Fire Res.]
See Drizzt Do'Urden[baldursgate.fandom.com] in BGW for details.

Chapter 6 - Now NOT In Baldur's Gate

Enjoy the main storyline unburden by achievements for a while. You're almost done! There is cake in the end!

There is nothing to cover until you reach the Catacombs.

The tomes and cool items here are all misseable!

⎈ Catacombs

In the antechamber you can find
✦ Scroll of Monster Summoning II [Tier 4 Arcane, Conjuration]
✦ Scroll of Minor Globe of Invunerability [Tier 4 Arcane, Abjuration]
✦ Scroll of Shadow Door [Tier 5 Arcane, Illusion]

In the first floor of the catacombs you can find
✦ Tome of STR+1, "Manual of Gainful Exercise"
 ✦ Tome of Understanding [WIS+1]
 ✦ Spirit’s Shield [Cloak, -2 AC, -2 Saves]
 ✦ Batalista's Passport [Ring, 40% Fire Res.]

✪ On My Own... Again
Made your way through the catacombs beneath Candlekeep.

Complete [Ch.6].
Chapter 7 - Sarevok

If you haven't yet, give the [Interlude - Endgame] section a chance.

Also, after you finish this chapter, you can't go back *-mind=blow-*. Everything here is misseable! I will not put the red corners on everything here, that'd be too silly even for me.

My fingers are itching for spoilers, but I'll stick to my Guide's title. Have fun!

⎈ Return to Baldur's Gate

✪ Lover’s Sacrifice / ✪ Lover’s Redemption (1/2)
☙ Sent Tamoko to the afterlife / Convinced Tamoko to aid you

Go to [East BG] and save before you approach Sorcerous Sundries. Attack and kill Tamoko to unlock “Lover’s Sacrifice” but reload to continue “Lover’s Redemption”. Agree to her request to enable the quest "Tamoko". There is no BGW entry for that, but for now
➤ meet her in front of the Flaming Fist entrance
➤ head to the Iron Throne building and go up to the last floor. You must slay Cythandria

For the second part of “Lover’s Redemption”, you’ll need Rep. 15+ and high CHA (I warned you, back in the [Bad vs Good Boy] subsection).

Have your Algernon’s Cloak and Helm of Balduran handy. You can still get both, if you haven't yet. If you want to increase Rep. you can try donating gold in a temple and/or doing side quests you haven't yet. Check this for details.[baldursgate.fandom.com]

➤ Main Story Speedtrack

There is A LOT going on now, most of which is both optional and not easy to explore. The BGW doesn't have pages for several journal entries here, so I cannot just link stuff, other than
Chapter Seven Grand Overview[baldursgate.fandom.com]

I'll provide a speedtrack for finishing this part of the story asap, in case you're not having much fun:
➤ Don't get caught. If you do, check the BGW link above
➤ If you prefer, you can move through the Sewers. Check the Gallery Section[baldursgate.fandom.com] for a detailed map
With these rules in mind:
➤ Continue the "Slythe and Krystin" quest. You can reach the Undercellar via Eastern Sewers or Blushing Mermaid Inn in [(Upper) Northeast BG]. It is the door facing southwest in the western portion of the Inn.
➤ After the confrontation you'll conclude the "Slythe and Krystin" quest. Don't forget to loot
    ✦ Shadow's Blade [Short Sword +3]
    ✦ Grave Binder [Dagger +2, 1d6+2]
    ✦ Letter from Saverok
    ✦ Invitation
➤ Proceed to Ducal's Palace in [North BG] and wave your Invitation to Bill like a proud peacock
➤ Save as soon as you enter the palace
➤ Roll your eyes violently as you read the dialogue
➤ Fight for your life, but also for Liia Jannath’s and Duke Belt’s lives. If both of them die, so will you
➤ After the fight, present the proof (looted from Slythe and Krystin) that Saverok is on Santa’s naughty list
 ➤ Fight Saverok

Once you unlock the quest "The Maze", you're free to explore as normal. Finish off achievements or sections you haven't yet.

Once you're in the Thieve’s Guild in [East BG], make all preparations needed for SoD, check the [Before the Creation] for a refresher. The actual PoNR is the "Temple of Bhaal", but backtracking will soon be very inconvenient.

⎈ Undercity

✪ Lover’s Redemption (2/2)

Save when you see the following area:

Convinced Tamoko to aid you.
Now you can convince Tamoko to drop her weapons. The dialogue choice is 1,3,2 but if you don’t have Rep. 15+ and/or high CHA, it won’t work and she will become aggressive.

After unlocking the achievement, reload and fight her if you want to take her
✦ Plate of the Dark [Full Plate +1]

✪ Hero of Baldur’s Gate
Killed Sarevok and ended his threat to Baldur's Gate and the Sword Coast.

After resolving the encounter you may also unlock one or more of the achievements mentioned in [Independent Achievements]
✪ Friend of Volo: played the whole game in “Story Mode”
✪ Lord of Murder: played the whole game in “Lord of Bhaal” difficulty
✪ Flying Solo: no companions recruited during the whole game
✪ Leave no Friends Behind: no allies died (ever?)
✪ Sacrifices Must Be Made: all allies are dead when you complete the game

Contragulations! [spiller]no, not a typo![/spoiler]

You finished the first part of the game!

But there is no time to celebrate as you’re slapped on the face with the Siege of Dragonspear.
Black Pits(top)
There is no good time to explore the Black Pits expansion. Chronologically, it takes place BEFORE the events of BG:EE, but you'd end up overlevelled and lose levels when importing into BG:EE. It would ruin the difficulty and also be very weird story-wise.

Importing INTO The Black Pits causes you to lose all your gear.

You can do lots of tricks to import stuff by moving savegames back and forth between single and multiplayer folders, but I will not address those things here.

All in all: its is better as a standalone experience.

For the sake of completeness I'll provide a grand overview of this expansion and defer to this guide for more details, including tactics:
https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=271977346
You'll have 15 arena battles split into tiers:
    ✦ [T1] 1 to 5
    ✦ [T3] 6 to 10
    ✦ [T3] 10 to - you guessed - 15
You get XP, but also Gold to buy your new gear. You can repeat any of the previous battles to farm for XP and/or gold.

The most exciting thing about Black Pits are the shops where you can buy some pretty powerful item.

There are no companions in Black Pits so everyone is a custom.

Lastly, I will refrain from my usual goofyness here and let Baeloth take the stage. He is the whole circus.

The shops get new (more powerful) items with each tier. In summary, they sell
    ✦ [T1] unenchanted gear
    ✦ [T3] gear +1
    ✦ [T3] gear +2
Their stock is limited for most stuff too, but one neglected details is that the shops *-restocks-* once you progress to a new Tier. This means you can get up to 6 Paws of the Cheetah here: 3 when you unlock T2, and 3 more when you advance to T3.

I'll listen bellow some of the notable items from each shop. Click the link for more details but be warned that the BGW does not list all T3 items!

 ➤ Thardek[baldursgate.fandom.com]: small weapons

Chapter 7 - Korlasz Family Tomb
⎈ Korlasz Family Tomb

✪ Know Thyself
☙ Help Ammon in the Korlasz family tomb.

This is part of the ➤ Tome of Great Value[baldursgate.fandom.com].

Agree to help Ammon on everything she requests. The moss is in the room to the west of where you meet Porios. However, you have to go around it. Continue the dungeon normally and on the second level at some point you’ll find a rope to climb up. Do so and you’ll be in the room in question. The Cobalt Moss is inside of one of the sarcophagus.

After the moss, tell her your story and agree to sign the letter for her.

Finally, you should get the achievement.

Concerns ➤ The Mummy's Order[baldursgate.fandom.com].

After crossing the first rope bridge, there will be a door to the right with a sarcophagus inside. Open, but don’t loot the sarcopagus! A mummy will raise and can give you a quest, depending on your choices. The quest reward is
✦ Shield of Egons [-3 AC, Turn Undead +1, +2 for Priest of Lathander]

✪ Loremaster
☙ Have a Lore skill of 100 or more

You’ll face Porios soon after crossing a rope bridge. Collect the
✦ Cloak of Minor Arcana [Arcane Caster Level +1, Lore +10]
Now we’re going to get the Loremaster achievement. Export a character with the Cloak in the inventory and create a new game. Make a Bard GW with WIS and INT 18 and import your character with the Cloak as a Custom Companion.

Start the SoD campaign and pass the cloak to your Bard. Once you wear it, you should get the achievement.

✪ Family Secrets
☙ Discover a secret hidden away in the Korlasz family tomb.

In the lower level, there is a secret passage with some tough fights (but worthy loot and an achievement).

Spoiler Map[baldursgate.fandom.com]

In this area, you’ll notice that on one side there are 3 lit torches on one side but only 2 on the other (market as “A”). Pick up the unlit torch from the minuscule lootable, walk back to the purple brazier (marked as “B”) in the previous room and interact with it. You should not have a purple fire torch. Go back to the torches are and place the now lit purple torch inside of the lootable a passage will open
You can find
✦ Helm of Unwavering Purpose [-1 AC, Immunity to Confusion, protection against crits.]
✦ Sword of Ruin [Two-Handed Sword+2, +5% Crit, 2d4 extra damage on crit]
The achievement only pop once you loot “Page from Sarevok’s Notes” on the table in this area.

✪ The End of Korlasz
☙ Dealt with Korlasz, the last follower of Sarevok.

After you get this achievement, Imoen will ask you if you’re ready to leave, say "no". There is still one room to explore.

This is a PoNR. Only tell Imoen you're ready to leave after you rearrange the inventory:

➤ inventory (unequiped) gear from companions will be deposited in a chest
➤ equipped items remain with all companions
➤ BG:EE-only Companions disappear together with equipped items
➤ SoD Companions can be found later with the items still equipped
➤ Custom Companions remain in the party unchanged

Easy solution: unequip everything from everyone other than GW.

Chapter 7 - Refugee Crisis
⎈ Refugee Crisis

You haven't time-travelled to Europe in 2011, you are back in Baldur's Gate!

The PoNR is when you tell Corwin that you’re ready to leave. Only talk to her once you're done with these!

Don't worry about chasing Companions. As long as they don't die, you can recruit them until [Ch.12].

Concerns ➤ The War At Home[baldursgate.fandom.com].

On the ground floor inside of the Ducal palace you’ll find a very depressed fellow named Jospil. Try to cheer him up to get
 ➤ Buckler +1
 ➤ Brevin's Quarterstaff [Lore +10, Friends 1/day]
The later rather unique staff stacks with the Cloak of Minor Arcana.

Here is how you cheer him up:
➤ Talk to him twice to start the conversation proper
➤ After he says “where reports are coming from”:
    ➤ 1,3,3
    ➤ 2,3,2
    ➤ 3,3,1

You can then continue talking to him, the rewards won't change anymore. Finish the conversation to get the reward.

✪ Well, It’s Heavy (1/2)
☙ Aquired a gold bust of yourself.

Part of the ➤ My Missing Fortune[baldursgate.fandom.com] quest.

I never seen this mentioned before, but you need to *get* this quest from Ophyllis in the basement of the Ducal Palace now. You don't need to continue it. The achievement continues in [Ch.8].

✪ Four on One
Defeated the burglars in Sorcerous Sundries by yourself.

Visit Sorcerous Sundries and talk to Halbazzer. Agree to help him and head up without any companions in your party. After you complete the favour return to Halbazzer with the potions case he asked for, the achievement pops.

✪ Far Out (1/4), ✪ Riddlemaster (1/4)
☙ Summon three creatures to the Prime Material Plane using the Spectacles of Spectacle.

Concerns ➤ Zaviak’s Vision Quest[baldursgate.fandom.com].

In Elfsong Tavern, talk to a trippin’ dude called Zaviak, who is talking to himself. Follow the rather entertaining conversation.

He will give you the quest and
✦ Spectacles of Spectacle [+50% Detect Illusion, -3 Save vs Illusion, Pull Creature to Prime Plane, 3 charges]

You'll need to use all charges of said Spectacle on 3 of the 9 candidates. Luckily there are 3 obvious “winners” when you weight the pros and cons, assuming you have a balanced party. These are all in [Ch.10] and they are
 ➤ Nazramu [Coalition Camp]
➤ Vidyadhar [Underground River] required for "Riddlemaster" achievement
 ➤ Zhadroth [Kanaglym]
These will be addressed, but consult BGW for detailed information about other possibilities.

🤻 Safana

Safana can be found in the second floor of the Elvensong Inn.

🤻 Dynaheir 🙵 🤻 Minsc

 ➤ Thief Among the Refugees[baldursgate.fandom.com]
    ✦ Lon's Amulet [WIS+1 for shapeshifters, Bless]
Flaming Fist Area
 ➤ Rabble-Rousers[baldursgate.fandom.com]

Once you're ready with all of the above, talk to Corwin to continue with the ones below.

Part of the ➤ Skie's Grand Plan[baldursgate.fandom.com] quest.

After you sleep or TRY TO, THANKS SKIE?!? head down and talk to Duke Eltan. If you make sure to tell him about a certain… secret… that Skie is following, and he will reward you with
 ✦ Guard’s Ring [-2 AC, -2 Saves]

✪ Unpopular (1/3)
🤻 Viconia
☙ Have Baeloth, Viconia, M'Khiin, Dorn and Edwin in the same party

Once outside of the Ducal Palace you will meet Viconia (again?). Her profile picture has been… greatly improved 😏 She is still evil though, but now she is romanceable.

She will later be needed for the “Unpopular” achievement. If you killed Baeloth in BG:EE in spite of my warnings, I understand you cannot get this achievement at all.

Minsc, Dynaheir and Safana will also be around, regardless if you talked to them before or not.

Belegarm[baldursgate.fandom.com]
You’ll also encounter this gentleman Belegarm. He will follow you through most of the rest of the journey, so don’t feel pressured to buy anything now. He has A LOT of good stuff in stock:
✦ Bag of Holding [holds 100 of ANY ITEM!]
✦ Ammo Belt [holds 2000 ammo]
✦ Scroll Case, Gems Bag and Potion Case
 ✦ Most scrolls and potions
✦ Buckler of the Fist [Buckler+2, Immunity to Hold]

✪ A Long Journey
☙ Set out upon the journey to Dragonspear Castle.

Continue as normal to unlock the next achievement and the next chapter.

Chapter 8 - Coast Way Crossing
✪ Coast Way Crossing

There is no PonR here, just don't travel to [Troll Claw Woods]

Spoiler Map[baldursgate.fandom.com]

✪ Newer Kids on the Block (1/2)
🤻 Corwin, 🤻 Glint
☙ Have Corwin, Glint, M'Khiin and Voghiln in the same party.

Corwin and Glint are available in the camp. The later gives you the ➤ Glint Gardnersonson[baldursgate.fandom.com] quest tied to "Family Reunion" achievement, to be addressed in [Ch.9].

✪ Unpopular (2/3)
🤻 Edwin, 🤻 Baeloth, 🤻 M’Khiin
☙ Have Baeloth, Viconia, M'Khiin, Dorn and Edwin in the same party

Edwin should join the camp by himself. If you don’t find him look around the burnt tavern. You must head north to find Baeloth and M’Khiin. Talk to both of them to make sure they join the camp. The last one of this achievement come with [Ch.9].

M'Khiin gives the multipart ➤ M'Khiin Grubdoubler[baldursgate.fandom.com]. I will only address the parts tied to an achievement.

✪ Painful Recital, ✪ Riddlemaster (2/4)
☙ Fail to impress the ancient menhirs with your singing ability.

↷ Part of ➤ Ancient Menhirs[baldursgate.fandom.com] given by Prin (in the camp), quest not required.

There are six huge stones you can interact with and sing to in this map. The singing is successful if you have CHA 16+, but you have to suck instead - so choose a low CHA companion and S/R. One of the Menhirs will ask a riddle after you fail singing. The answer is Wind, River, Tree, but answer something wrong to unlock “Painful Recital”.

You’ll have to redo at least the riddle Menhir for the "Riddlemaster" achievement, or all if you want some mighty Bard-only gear.

BUG: Only companions that were in your party when you arrived at Coast Way Crossing and were still in your party when you first spoke to Prin can interact with the menhirs.

✪ A Complete Set (1/2)
☙ Find all of Takos's missing heirlooms.

Part of the ➤ Halfling Treasures[baldursgate.fandom.com] quest, talk with Takos in the middle-ish of the map to get it.

You can immediatelly get 2 of the 3 items nearby, check the red rectangles in the spoiler map. The third item is in Coast Way Forest. He will only accept the items once you have all three.

✪ All the Allies (1/4), ✪ Remote Control, ✪ Stone to Flesh
Part of ➤ The Vanished[baldursgate.fandom.com].

Purchase 5 Stone to Flesh scrolls from Belegarm and then go talk to Herod (close to the burnt inn) about missing people. Confront Teleria few meters south, she will bring you to northwest of the map. As much as you’re tempted to murder chastise her, hold your horses otherwise you won’t be able to get “All the Allies” in [Ch.11].

☙ Recruit all the bonus allies possible for the final battle.
☙ Talked Teleria into selling her golem.
Instead, smile without showing teeth and compliment her and her work of art. Offer to buy it (for 1,000g or 800g if you have high CHA). The golem will walk down to the camp and Teleria will disappear, but you should get the “Remote Control” achievement.

☙ Save all the missing refugees in the Coast Way forest.
Now use the 5 Stone to Flesh scrolls on the statues. You can collect a reward from Herod too.

The following only triggers after you progress the main quest the conflict in the bridge. It doesn't block anything, so you might as well just do it.

♥ Safana (1)
As you walk past the burnt Inn...
引用自 Safana
”Nature, pah. Who needs it? Twigs in my hair, bugs flying around my face. Give me a city any day”

✪ Well, It’s Heavy (2/2)
Aquired a gold bust of yourself.

Return to the main camp and accept Ophyllis' gift.

♥ Corwin (1)
Back in the main camp...
引用自 Corwin
"Is there something I can do for you?"

 ➤ Mizhena's Amulet[baldursgate.fandom.com] will be addressed in [Ch.10]
Chapter 8 - Coast Way Area
You can do this before or after visiting the Coast Way Forest (I ran out of space in the previous section).

⎈ Dwarven Dig Site

✪ Dumathoin's Disappointment / ✪ Strange Bedfellow, ✪ Juggernaut (*)
☙ Destroyed the lich Coldhearth and his phylactery / Delivered the amulets of his former companions to Coldhearth.

Part of the quest ➤ Dwarves of Dumathoin[baldursgate.fandom.com].

You’ll need five “Amulet of the Keeper of Secrets Under the Mountain”. After you enter the dungeon and help the dwarves, one Amulet can be looted from the zombies. Three can be pickpocket from Deepvein and two unnamed dwarves. The fifth Amulet is in this first floor too in the southmost corridor, next to Umber Hulks and some Carrion Crawlers. If you can’t pickpocket, you’ll have to fight and kill the dwarves later.

Explore the Site until you meet Coldhearth. Cleanup all the dungeon for the next part, talk to Coldhearth, be nice and agree to help him. Backtrack to Deepvein before anything and tell him about Coldhearth’s fate to get
✦ The Secret Revealed [weakens liches, 3 charges]
This will be very useful in [Ch.10] but you won’t need it now (probably).

If you don’t have the dwarves’ Amulets, save, kill them and loot them. Head back down and give the Amulets to Coldhearth to unlock “Strange Bedfellow”. If you had to kill the dwarves, reload for the “Dumathoin’s Disappointment” and return to Coldhearth again.

Locate a secret door next to Coldhearth, facing northeast. Don’t open it! Prepare, save and nuke him! But if you know anything about Liches, you know that that's not all...

After defeating the Lich, you have one minute to locate and destroy his Phylactery! Loot the key he drops, open the secret door with a fast character (Paws of the Cheetah) and interact with the second torch from left to right. You should get the Phylactery. Rush back to the “Elemental Plane of Fire” in the western section of the dungeon and interact with the center of the magical circle, potentially while dodging and fighting respawning enemies. IMAGE_X

If the ground shakes and you get the achievement, you won. After all of that, return to the Dwarves and explain Coldhearth’s fate. You will get the awesome
✦ Helmet of Dumathoin[baldursgate.fandom.com] [CON+1, +2 for dwarves, 3% Physical Res.] Quite handy for the “Juggernaut” achievement.

⎈ Coast Way Forest

✪ He’s Just Misunderstood
☙ Side with Tsolak the vampire.

Part of the the ➤ Isabella and Ikros[baldursgate.fandom.com] quest.

S/R before approaching Isabella at night.

If GW is a Paladin, the only way to unlock this is to choose “A better plan is to kill you, Isabella” dialogue when it appears. The achievement pops immediately after the fight, so feel free to reload and choose something else.

If you side with Isabella, you can get a Paws of the Cheetah (see below).

✪ A Complete Set (2/2), ✦ Paw of the Cheetah (1/2)
☙ Find all of Takos's missing heirlooms.

Part of ➤ Isabella and Ikros, quest not required.

The last item is in Isabella’s possession. You can
 ➤ pickpocket her
 ➤ side with her
✦ Suncatcher [Small Shield+2, 15% to cause 1d4 Fire DMG. and Blindness to melee attacker]
✦ Boots and a Half of Speed [upgradeable to Paws of Cheetah in [Ch.9, Bridgefort]]
➤ side with Tsolak to loot it from Isabella
    ✦ Suncatcher (loot from her)
    ✦ Trollblood Ioun Stone [Headgear, THAC0 -3 vs Troll, 1HP regen/round]

To unlock, you need to return to Coast Way Crossing and talk to Takos again. Save before doing so. You have to give him ALL items for the achievement. The reward for the quest is
✦ Biter [Dart+2, +1 Acid, Returning, 10% chance to inflict -1AC on oponent]
which is maybe useful to finish off trolls and the likes.

If you’re unhappy with the lousy dart, you can reload chose another avenue, like insisting to keep one item of your choice in addition to the dart, refuse to give him anything (he turns hostile), or just don’t talk to him

🤻 Rasaad
He is kinda lost in this area: southeast.

He is misseable! If you don’t talk to him here, he will be gone from SoD. There are no achievements involving him, though.

✪ Explorer (1/4), ✪ Darkseer
☙ Explore all unique encounters

The first time you come from Coast Way Forest back to the Coast Way Crossing, you’ll see the first encounter: The Orc vs Troll Waylay[baldursgate.fandom.com]. This is missable and you can only get this in [Ch.8].

You can also get the “Darkseer” here (though you can also get it later).

☙ Use infravision to navigate an area of darkness.
Just enter the cave and interact with the pool with a character with infravision
If you do, you can also find
✦ Firefly [Sling+2, +1 Fire Damage, +2 Saving Throws for Halflings]
which is useful to finish off Trolls, which only die with fire or acid damage.

Chapter 9 - Troll Claw Wood
⎈ Troll Claw Woods

There is no PonR here, just don't travel to [Coallition Camp]

♥ Viconia (1), ♥ Safana (2), ♥ Corwin (2)

When you go north on the road, there will be an “Y” fork...

Closer to the end of the road...

She will ask for a gift. I found only one good gift: Water Opal. Not giving a gift she likes might sour the romance track.

Further north down the road...
引用自 Corwin
I've been thinking about what will happen when we reach Dragonspear. I've never served in a coalition before. Alliances bring strength, so long as everyone can get along.

✪ Newer Kids on the Block (3/3)
🤻 Jaheira, 🤻 Voghiln
☙ Have Corwin, Glint, M'Khiin and Voghiln in the same party.

Jaheira and Voghiln are available now. You have to follow the road northwards and they’ll be at the end of the map. Just S/R and put them all in the party for the achievement.

If you’re romancing Safana you might want to know that Voghiln will interfere with your relationship, and maybe even “steal” Safana from you. To avoid that, you’ll have to never EVER talk to Voghiln, and to please Safana later on during step 3 and 4 of her romance track.

✪ Darkseer (*)
☙ Use infravision to navigate an area of darkness.

If you didn’t get it in [Ch.8] during the rare encounter, you can get it in the Troll Cave here, in the western portion of the map. Loot the "Tinderbox" from one of the lootables in the main cave and then approach a specific section of the cave (behind a secret door) with a character with infravision

Spoiler Map[baldursgate.fandom.com]

You can loot
 ✦ Enchanted Weapon Scroll
✦ Locket of Embrace [Caster Level +1 for Clerics or Paladins, one extra Tier 1 Priest Spell]

There is a group of orcs south of the map, close to the edge. Next to them there the body of a dead elf, from which you can loot this weapon

There isn't much in the forest itself, but one cave here is mandatory, and the other contains key quest items.

The 3rd encounter should happen when you leave Forest of Wyrms altogheter. Don't worry, just finish exploring this area first.

It is the “Dragon vs. Giants Waylay”.[baldursgate.fandom.com]

Here you’ll have to choose
✦ Blood Red Ioun Stone [DEX+1, Speed Factor -2] if you side with the Dragon
✦ Cold Fury [Halberd+2, +1d2 Cold Damage, Slows Fire Creatures] if you side with Giants.

There is a trick to get both but it is quite convoluted. Check BGW for details. You can get this after exploring the Temple or Cyric.

Keep your eyes open for an Aquamarine Gem. Several lootables may contain them right now, but don’t stress if you don’t find one yet.

✪ In the Name of the Father / ✪ Amendments, ✪ It Wasn’t Me! (1/6)
This is part of the “Eyless Priestess”. Still by the entrance, there will be a certain Madele. Once again, hold your justice hammer tight. Continue the main storyline until you find the key to the jail. Save before talking to Madele.

☙ Commanded Madele to murder in the name of Bhaal.
You should get “In the Name of the Father”.

☙ Ordered Madele to amend her murderous misdeeds
Reload and tell her to make amends for “Amendments”. There will be 3 choices needed for for the "It Wasn't Me!" achievement. You can ignore one if you're planning to keep high reputation, and one more if GW is a Paladin.

✪ The Key Forward
☙ Aquired the wardstone from the Cyricist temple.

Part of the main plot, unmisseable.

✪ Seeker of Secrets
☙ Discovered a secret chamber and the treasure hidden within

This one is quite tricky to find without a spoiler, so go easy on yourself: Spoiler Map[baldursgate.fandom.com]

The solution of this puzzle can be found in the “Page from Saverok’s Notes” you got in the Prologue here. Click 3-1-4 to open a secret door. Enter the room and the achievement pops.

You can now loot
✦ Fractal Blade [Short Sword+3, 10% to Cast Mirror Image upon being hit, 50% to Dispel Illusions]

✪ String Cutter
Destroyed the mind flayer Darskhelin

After obtaining the Wardstone, continue exploring the Temple until the end.

If you thought that the Neothelid strange, at the end of this part you’ll have to fight a… Stranger Thing…

 ✦ Archer’s Eye [+5% Ranged crit., DEX+2 (Archer), +1 (others)]
✦ Crimson Dawn [Katana+2, +5% crit., 15% chance to cast haste]
Chapter 9 - Boareskyr Area

The PoNR here is resolving the Bridgefort conflict by either defeating the crusaders or surrendering the Fort. Sadly, defeating the crusaders blocks the “All the Enemies” achievement in [Ch.11], so you have to surrender. You can still visit [Troll Claw Woods] and [Forest of Wyrms] though, just don't move to [Coalition Camp].

Dorn is imprisoned here, the last one for "Unpopular". His equipment is in a chest close to the cage.

✪ Get Out! (2/5), ✪ Diffusion (2/2)
☙ Get the strange voice out of Neera's head

There are two items you need in a wagon next to Vichand (or Crusader guard, if a cutscene didn’t play yet). They won’t let you touch the wagon, though.

I don’t know if that is a bug, but you can just kill Vichand/Crusader Guard and nobody turns hostile. Just do that and loot the “Planetar Feather” and the “Arcane Scroll of Impactful Doom” for the main storyline.

This continues in [Ch.9, Bridgefort].

✪ Proud of Yourself
☙ Reveal your identify to the crusaders

Save and go north of the largest tent in the Crusader’s Camp to find Oloneiros. Approach her and say “Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. Prepare to die.” If you’re called something else, use your name instead.

The achievement may take a few seconds to pop, so brace for the fight against the whole camp. Once it does, reload as you need a different conclusion of the siege for “All the Enemies” later.

✪ Give The Enemy No Quarter
☙ Pushed the crusade back across Boareskyr Bridge.

Before anything: save. One of the many ways for this achievement is to pick of one (or more) of the bosses inside of the Crusader’s Camp, charm them, bring them outside of the camp and reenact the movie "Hostel". The whole camp will turn hostile, but you’re not in their sight.

Either wait for the Flaming Fist to arrive or start picking small groups from far. Once the crusaders start fleeing, the cheevo will unlock.

Sadly, we need a different conclusion of the siege for the “All of the Enemies” achievement, so reload.

⎈ Bridgefort

✪ Family Reunion (1/3), ✦ Paws of the Cheetah (2/2)
☙ Track down all of Glint's family members

Bring Glint to the Bridgefort and talk to his uncle Hoach Randymonk.

If you have the Boots and a Half of Speed from “Isabella and Ikros” quest, he can turn them into a Paws of the Cheetah. There is a chance of this failing, so save before giving it to him. It takes a day for the work to be completed.

✪ Get Out! (3/5)
🤻 Neera
☙ Get the strange voice out of Neera's head

Neera and ADOOOY is finally available – for better or worse. Talk to her inside of the Bridgefort (before resolving the conflict). For the achievement you'll need
  1. Potion of Perception - Belegarm
  2. Giant Spider Leg [Ch.9, Spider Cave]
  3. Planetar Feather [Ch.9, Crusader's Camp]
  4. Turnip Juice [Ch.10, Coalition Camp]
  5. Belladonna [Ch.10, Bloodbark Grove]
I'll address the last two in [Ch.10].

✪ Diffusion (2/2)
☙ Stopped the sickening energy emanating from the spellstone

Part of the main storyline, you should get after talking to Wynan Hess and handing him over the “Arcane Scroll of Impactful Doom” you just got from the Crusader’s Camp.

Interact with the rock (which was previously glowing) to collect “Voidstone Shards” for the next entry.

✪ Tapped into the Void, ✪ Scales of the Beast (2/2),
✦ Rhino Beetle Shell (2/2)
☙ Forged a void weapon 🙵 dragonscale item

Talk to Jeggs[baldursgate.fandom.com] with Rhino Beetle Shell and/or Dragon Scales. She will then be able to turn them into an armor or shield. When turning the later, you should get the “Scales of the Beast” achievement.

Craft something using the Voidstones (you just got after the “Diffusion”) to unlocks “Tapped into the Void”.

IMPORTANT: there is an enemy which can only be damaged by +3 (or better) weapons. Jeggs will not be available for long, if you follow this guide, so finish getting everything you want from him asap. She actually follows the camp if you don’t surrender the fort to the Crusade, but we have to do that for the “All of the Enemies” achievement.

This is the PoNR. Bridgefort achievements will be blocked after you do the next step.

✪ All the Enemies, ✪ Inside Job,
✪ Not The Battle We Came For, ✪ The O.G. (*) (1/4)
🤻 Khalid
Sabotaged the drawbridge /Peacefully surrendered Bridgefort.
☙ Fight all bonus enemies possible at the final battle

There are many ways to do that, I’ll just outline one of them:

Head to the castle walls where Khalid is:

1) Inside Job: pickpocket the keys from Mari (you should have Glint and several potions of Thievery around) then lower the drawbridge by yourself. Reload
2) Not the Battle We Came For: talk to Khalid and suggest surrendering the fort instead.

After this, Khalid should be available as companion too. If you didn’t get the “The O.G.” achievement in BG:EE, you can do it now.

⎈ Boareskyr Bridge

✪ A Critical Moment, ✪ Your Father's Grave
Saved Boareskyr Bridge from destruction at the hands of the crusade
Reached Boareskyr Bridge, the site of Bhaal's death.

Both are part of the main story, cannot be missed.

♥ Neera (1)

"So, GW... Long time no see. Well, I guess it hasn't been that long - like a few seconds, really-but, uh... how are you?"

✪ Well Done
Deal with an angry water elemental

After crossing the bridge there will be a well just north. You can “loot” it. Place a weapon instead and resolve the encounter.
Chapter 10 - Coalition Camp
⎈ Coalition Camp

✪ Detailed Investigation
☙ Find the traitor within the coalition camp

Concerns the ➤ The Traitor[baldursgate.fandom.com].

Talk to Safana (she doesn’t need to be in the party) until she gives you this quest:
➤ talk to Mizhena, Simonetta and/or Belegarm
➤ confront Malden Col in the northwest

It is possible to accuse the wrong person Helvdar.

♥ Viconia (2), ♥ Safana (3)

Approaching the southern portion of the camp...
引用自 Viconia
So many Flaming Fist officers around. They bring back unpleasant memories.

引用自 Safana
”Hey there, sweetheart. How's it going?”

She will ask for the gift she requested earlier a Water Opal. This is Safana's Ultimatum. If you choose her, she will make another request. Remember: do not talk to Voghiln ever again.

✪ Family Reunion (2/3)

With Glint in your party, talk with Pritchard. He should be in the center-ish of the camp. There is another quest in the camp that might or might not involve Pritchard and they may interfere Damius and Sempek will ask you to “teach him a lesson” and he leaves the camp after that. Considering that Glint also asks the same thing, he miiiiiiight be a prick...

➤ Uncommon Cold (1/2), ✪ It Wasn’t Me! (2/6)

Concerns the ➤ The Uncommon Cold[baldursgate.fandom.com] given by Dosia, south of this area.

The path I chose for this guide involves Viconia:
➤ bring her to diagnose the sick people
 ➤ report to Dosia
 ➤ ask for Viconia’s opinion

This continues in the [Ch.10, Bloodbark Grove].

✪ Harper’s Gift (2/2)
Aid Khalid with his romantic request

Concerns ➤ Anniversary Gift[baldursgate.fandom.com], given by Khalid.

If you don't have the quest yet, talk to him and choose the option “You seem anxious”. You can give him the Spider Web (from [Ch.8, Spider Cave] right away. Talk to him until he requests an "Aquamarine Gem".

The wiki has several possible locations[baldursgate.fandom.com], but none of them worked for me. However, I could pickpocket one from Waizahb.

Giving the gem to him concludes the quest and the cheevo.

✪ Far Out (2/4)
⛃ Nazramu

You’d be insane not to use it here; go to the southeast of the map and use the spectacles to reveal a Nazramu. He sells top tier items, including
 ✦ Wizzard Hat
 ✦ Gauntlet of Weapon Expertise

After talking to General Stonehand and Torsin de Lancie south of the camp, return to the main entrance to find a halfling called Wilhelmina. She sells a… magical turnip juice… buy some and give it to Neera.

✪ Blessed by Talona (1/2)
☙ Poisoned supplies within Dragonspear Castle.

By the left side of the main camp entrance there is a certain Torsin de Lancie. Talk to him and agree to place the explosives and the poison. You can change your mind later.

Feel free to put the barrel or not, consult the instructions for placing[baldursgate.fandom.com] it. The poison will be brought back in [Ch.10, Dragonspear Castle Basement]

➤ Mizhena’s Amulet & Father (1/3)
Concerns Mizhena’s Amulet[baldursgate.fandom.com] given by Mizhena southeast of the camp.

The quest itself is available since [Ch.8]. Talk to Mizhena and ask her about her religion (or not). Finish the conversation by saying “I’ll be on my way” to trigger the dialogue. Agree to help her. Your purpose is to trigger the "Mizhena’s Father" quest later on, which rewards you

Make sure to give the bark to Dosia in the [Coalition Camp] to complete the quest. She rewards you with the intriguing

✪ Get Out! (5/5)
☙ Get the strange voice out of Neera's head

Concerns ➤ The Good Druids[baldursgate.fandom.com].

Go to the “Oak Tree” in the northwest of the map and you’ll find two druids in trouble. You’ll need to cast Dispel Magic or attack them to destroy the vines. Agree to help. This continues in [Ch.10, Underground River]

♥ Neera (2)

A bit left to where you find the Myconid Tower (with the poisonous gas) Neera will… be Neera.

"Shut up, shup up,... *sigh* shut up"

✪ All the Allies (2/4)
☙ Recruit all the bonus allies possible for the final battle.

Concerns ➤ Murs and the Brigands[baldursgate.fandom.com].

In the east-ish part of this area there is a group of ogres fighting over leadership. Leave your companions behind/disable AI and agree to fight for the leadership. Dialogue options 1,1,4,1,2 should do it.You have to fight alone and without magic for this to work, or else it is considered “cheating”, which turns all ogres hostile and ruin the quest.

After you defeat the two ogres, talk to Murs and promise to bring her mate back. This should give you ➤ The Dungeon Slug[baldursgate.fandom.com] quest, which will be discussed in the part 3 in the [Ch.10, Warrens] section.

➤ Mizhena’s Amulet & Father (2/3)
North of the Ogres Camp there are some corpses and Displacer Beasts. Mizhena’s Amulet is there. Don’t forget that our goal is to unlock “Mizhena’s Father” quest. There are once again multiple ways to proceed, I will suggest you to NOT talk to her until [Ch.11] instead (or drop it on the ground before talking to her).

✪ Trivium
☙ Perform a task worthy of the Terrible Trivium.

Concerns the ➤ Moving Crates[baldursgate.fandom.com].

This achievement is very hard. Ask Ladle for a task. After you complete his task, ask for another one. Complete it as well to unlock.

Spoiler Map[baldursgate.fandom.com]

The hard part is not killing Ladle in the process.

♥ Neera (3), ♥ Safana (4), ♥ Viconia (4)

I will call the bridge right north of Ladle “The Horny Bridge”.

There is one more Romance track here, but on the way back. Geeeez.

✪ Far Out (3 or 4/4), ✪ Riddlemaster (3/4)
☙ Summon three creatures to the Prime Material Plane using the Spectacles of Spectacle.

This is mandatory for the Riddlemaster. Go to the northeastern cave in this area (the same place where you find the Sahuagins). There will be a Rakshasa named Vidyadhar who give you a riddle. If you solve it correctly you get
✦ Modron Heart[baldursgate.fandom.com] [+2 THAC0, DMG and AC vs Chaotic]
The reward for killing him is better, but you need to answer his riddle for Riddlemaster. The answer is bees.

If you already done [Ch.10, Kanaglym], this was the last one for “Far Out” achievement.

✪ Juggernaut (*)
⛃ Bellowgulp Bluefingers
There is a rather unique shop here.

Spoiler Map[baldursgate.fandom.com]

He sells most potions. He also sells some powerful/unique ones

✦ Potion of Cloud Giant [STR 23 for 2h]
✦ Potion of Magic Protection [50% magic protection for 2h ]
✦ Potion of Magic Shielding [50% magic damage protection and +20 Saves]
If you haven’t Juggernaut yet, take the Potion of Power. The HP boost stacks if you drink it AFTER the Potion of Heroism.

Concerns ➤ Drow Runaways[baldursgate.fandom.com].

West of the area where you find Vidyadhar, there is a door to a chamber leading north. Here you can trigger the quest.

Check the wiki for possible rewards, but one of them is the
✦ Cloak of the Gargoyle [5% Physical Res., Protect against crits, Stone Form 1/day]. This is particularly useful for classes that cannot equip helmets.

✪ All the Enemies (3/4)
☙ Fight all the bonus enemies possible at the final battle.

Concerns ➤ Strunk's Elementals[baldursgate.fandom.com]

You’ll find a mage here called Strunk working on some water elementals. All you have to do is… nothing! Do not talk to him, to make sure.

After meeting Strunk, you should be very close to the [Ch.10, Warren] location. Feel free to start that or [Ch.10, Kanaglym]. After you finish the [Ch.10, Dragonspear Basement] section, this whole area will be hostile. Make sure to not kill Strunk by accident then!

Completely optional, but practical - you can place the Barrel of Bwoosh here. You’ll need to wear the Stone Dowser for the option to appear. The location is this:

Spoiler Map[baldursgate.fandom.com]

✪ Nature Lover (2/2) / ✪ Dark Ally (2/2)
☙ Sided with the surface druids / with Ferrusk

Part of the ➤ Good Druids.

Head to the southeastern cave with the “Corrupted Oak” to confront Ferrusk. He will tell you his side of the story. You’ll have to pass a Save vs. Death to not roll your eyes while listening, but if you do, pretend you’ll believe him and agree to kill the Druids for him.

Kill Ferrusk and place the Enchanted Seed inside of the Corrupted Oak. Return to talk to the druids again.

Save the game. Choose the option “He made a convincing argument to spare his life... and to take yours”. Once they’re dead you should get “Dark Ally” (no need to return to Ferrusk, he is probably watching from hell already).

Reload but you’ll need to tiptoe around the answer to get “Nature Lover”, insisting that you have killed Ferrusk for them e.g. 1,4,2,1,1.

✪ Grub... Doubled
☙ Help M'Khiin find her path

Interact with the rubble in the east section of the map with M'Khiin in your party. It doesn’t matter what you choose, you’ll get the achievement. There are top tier gear for her here.

✪ A Reunion of Friends (1/2), ✪ Kanaglym Cleansed
☙ Reunited the spirits of Daeros Dragonspear and Halatathlaer.
☙ Defeated the cabal of wizards hiding within lost Kanaglym.

Defeat Kherrium in the southern portion of the map. It can a tough battle depending on the difficulty. This should progress “A Reunion of Friends” and unlock “Kanaglym Cleansed”.Don’t forget to loot
 ✦ Robe of Evil Archmagi
 ✦ Evermemory

✪ Far Out (3 or 4/4)

Zhadroth is here, on the northeastern portion of the circular platform. You get the achievement for freeing him, but you're greedy and you want more (don't deny it).

To pick the fight with Zhadroth you’ll need a Cleric, Paladin or to have lore 25+. He drops
✦ Robe of Arcane Aptitude [+1 INT, AC 5, Spell Sequencer 1/day (not MINOR Sequencer!)]
 ✦ Ring of Regeneration
 ✦ 22,000 XP

He is very powerful but if you kept the “Secret Revealed” item (from Dwarvers of Dumathoin quest in [Ch.8]) as I told you, you can use it on him and it will be a breeze. On your way out of Kanaglym you can fight (or parley with) the Endless Watcher. If you kill him, you’ll get the
✦ Astral Crossbow [Crossbow +2, +4 vs Evil, Stuns on Crits],
 ✦ 9,000 XP
If you already done Vidyadhar, in [Ch.10, Underground River], this was the last for “Far Out” achievement.

☙ Present evidence of the crusader's crimes to Julann.
☙ Persuade Rigah to turn against Julann.
☙ Fight all the bonus enemies possible at the final battle.

In Kanaglym you can find
 ✦ Hephernaan’s Ritual Notes
You also need Minsc and Dynaheir in your party – don’t worry, I’ll bring this up in the cleanup section. The achievement proper takes place in the Underground River Entrance.

Return to the [Underground River Entrance] and talk to them without blood in the eyes choosing only “1” should do it. Save hard.

Have a chat with Rigah first and just like my ex-girlfriend, make the man depressed with your words. Save before trying, or use this solution: 2,2,2,1,2,1. A message should appear “Our talk seem to have depressed Rigah”.

Once you get that right, roleplay my ex-mother-in-law and turn Rigah against Julann. Save before trying or use the solution 1,1,1,2

This should give you both “Appeal to Reason” and “Breaking Point”.

They need to join the Crusade for “All the Enemies”, so reload. Only the Julann part matters. Choose “Dynaheir agrees with my accounting of the ritual” instead of taunting Rigah. If they leave the scene, you’re good to go.

⎈ Warrens

✪ All the Allies (3/4)
☙ Recruit all the bonus allies possible for the final battle.

Part of ➤ The Dungeon Slug, which you got from Murs previously.

Slug is in a cage to the right of the entrance. He unlocks his secret stash in the [Underground River], close to Bellowgulp:

✪ Family Reunion (3/3)
☙ Track down all of Glint's family members

With Glint in your party, look for Rhonda northwest of this map to unlock this achievement.

Do not talk to her if Glint is not yet in your party.

There is an extra family member, a ghost in Ettin’s cave in the Underground River, but that doesn’t count for the achievement. You must enter there for the first time with Glint in your party to trigger a special dialogue but that’s all.
Chapter 10 - Dragonspear

The PoNR triggers by visiting [Dragonspear Castle Basement] → [Coalition Camp] → [Dead Man's Pass] in this order. You can visit [Dead Man's Pass] if you avoid [Coalition Camp]. After visiting [Coalition Camp] you can still visit anywhere as long as you avoid [Dead Man's Pass].

Make sure to cleanup everything now. Things that you might be missing:
➤ Underground River Entrance - bring Dynaheir & Minsc for "Appeal to Reason", "Breaking Point" and "All the Enemies (2/4)"
➤ Warren - bring Glint for "Family Reunion (3/3)"
➤ Kanaglym - bring M'Khiin for "Grub Doubled"

You can do either the Castle Exterior or Basement after that, as long as you keep the PoNR in mind.

⎈ Dragonspear Castle Exterior

Accessing this area requires the Seal of Caelar, which you should have now.

If you don't, check ➤ Entering Dragonspear Castle[baldursgate.fandom.com] link for details on how to get it.

After doing this section, the [Underground River] becomes hostile. Some of achievements will be difficult or impossible (e.g. Trivium). Finish everything before proceeding!

✪ Blessed By Talona (2/2), ✪ It Wasn’t Me (3/5)
☙ Poisoned supplies within Dragonspear Castle.

The water supplies are directly northwest of the entrance to the basement. Save before interacting with the cask there. Interact twice with the cask to unlock “Blessed by Talona” and reload, as this affects the “It Wasn’t Me” achievement.

✪ Hasty Retreat
☙ Discovered Hephernaan within Dragonspear Castle.

While exploring the basement, confront Hephernaan until the lil’ ♥♥♥♥♥ runs away. Important: there is a timer to confront Hephernaan. If you take too long he will move from his room to the entrance and leave. The timer is quite long, though.

✪ A Reunion of Friends (2/2)
☙ Reunited the spirits of Daeros Dragonspear and Halatathlaer.

You’ll find Daeros in a subsection of Hepheranareharanheheranaan's room. Set him free to unlock the cheevo. Additionally, he reveals a secret cache in this map containing
✦ Daeros’ Full Plate +1 [40% Fire RES, +2 Save vs. Breath]
The downside of this armor is that it is +1, preventing the use of the Ring of the Guard+2.

In a chest in Hepherenenanrehanenaan's room:
✦ Crown of Lies [+2 Tier 3, +1 Tier 4 and Tier 5 Arcane spell, -30 Lore] This item is not cursed, so you can remove it to identify items. You don’t lose prepared spells if you re-equip it!
In a chest in the northeastern room:
 ✦ Bullet +3

After you're done with the [Dragonspear Castle Basement], when you're walking through the [Underground River], romance will be in the air again - for whatever reason.

♥ Viconia (5), ♥ Safana (5)

Picked the least suitable units to fight the crusaders at the coalition camp
Successfully defended the coalition camp from attack

In this part, it will ask you to make three choices and you have to make the worst possible choice all three times. You’ll know, because the generals involved will ask what is wrong with you:
 ➤ Auziel (rogues) against Trolls
 ➤ Garrus (archers) against mages
➤ Stysich (wizard slayers) against clerics

Amongst the loot you’ll find

Chapter 11

Welcome to the shortest yet most satisfying Chapter in the game!

If you encounter "Urold" during the battle (he is not hostile), do not talk to him yet!

✪ All the Friends (4/4)
☙ Recruit all the bonus allies possible for the final battle.

If you got the Golem in [Ch.8] and the helped Murs in [Ch.10], this achievement should unlock now… or not!

BUG: if you placed the Barrel of Woosh during [Ch.10], this might be bugged. The solution is simple: when de Lancie asks if you poisoned the water and placed the explosive, say “Could’ve been better…” or “Keep talking that tone…”

After you get the achievement, you can reload. There should be an autosave from a few seconds ago.

✪ All the Enemies (4/4) / ✪ Stand Alone
☙ Fight all the bonus enemies possible at the final battle.
☙ Defeat the elite crusader Ashatiel in a one on one battle

You should get "All the Enemies" during the siege, as soon as you defeat Delgar Munsch, Jullan, Rigah and Strunk. Check the spoiler map for their locations.
The problem is that, at some point in the battle, Ashatiel will challenge you for a duel. Winning the duel gives you "Stand Alone" but causes Delgar Munsch to flee, blocking "All the Enemies".

Conveniently, the game autosaves when she challenges you. Pick one, reload, pick the other. Note that refusing the duel gives better loot and XP, as you get to kill Ashatiel AND Munsch soon after.

Some of the loot here:
✦ Corinth’s Bow [Composite Longbow+2, casts Luck on Crit] from Corinth, if you didn’t get it before via “The Trial” quest
✦ Dragon Blade [Two-Handed Sword+3, 2d4 cold dmg, slows target, +10% crit for Berserkers, Barbarians and Minsc] from Rigah
 ✦ Chill Axe [Axe+2, +1 Cold DMG., STR+1, 2% to go Berserk]
 ✦ Helmet of Charm Protection

✪ Thorough
☙ Defeated the elite crusaders guarding the rear of Dragonspear Castle

These “Elite Crusaders” are in the northwest section of the wall (see the spoiler map). You can get this even if you accept Ashatiel’s challenge.

 ➤ Mizhena’s Father & Amulet (2/2)
Mizhena should be in the courtyard after the battle, probably somewhere near the catapult. It can be difficult to find her, on the account of a lot of people being around.

Finally return her Amulet. She immediatelly gives you Mizhena’s Father[baldursgate.fandom.com]. See the map spoiler for the exact location. His name is Urold

Return to Mizhena to receive
✦ Blazing Glory [Morningstar+3, Immune to Fatigue, 10% to cast Chant]

Don’t forget to loot the castle interior now that you have access. There are
✦ Potion of Storm Giant: STR 24 for 2h.
 ✦ Arrow +3
 ✦ Enchanted Weapon Scroll
✦ Potion of Magic Protection and Shielding
✦ 200,000g (if you done "My Missing Fortune" side-quest) though that is not very useful anymore

♥ Neera (5), ♥ Viconia (6), ♥ Safana (6)
The game should autosave before this. I’ve seen it taking a few seconds to trigger but otherwise it should be unmisseable. If [Ch.12] triggers and you didn't get it, reload the autosave and walk around a bit.

If you're having trouble, it is in the Vault of Dragonspear Castle, after Caelar enters the portal to Avernus.

引用自 Neera
“We’re never gonna be safe again, are we?”

引用自 Safana
“More trudging. More danger. What a joy”.
She once again acts very uncharacteristic and apologizes after lashing out.

引用自 Viconia
“If we must pass into a world of fiend and fire, I’m glad it is this one”
Chapter 12
⎈ Avernus Bridge, ⎈ Avernus Tower

✪ You Choose… Poorly / ✪ Riddlemaster (4/4), ✪ It Wasn’t Me (4/5)

You can't miss Thrix. He will first make you fight some demons. Be careful not to make him hostile by accident e.g. with AoE spells.

Save after you dispatch the demons back to… hell? Here?

☙ Thrix claimed a party member's soul
Conundrums apart, bargain the soul of one of your companions with Thrix and answer the riddle incorrectly for “You Chose… Poorly”. The correct answer should be murder.

☙ Answered the menhir's riddle, Vidyadhar's riddle and Thrix's riddle correctly.
Reload because betting a companion's soul will interfere with "It Wasn't Me" later (regardless if you answer right or wrong). You may bargain your own soul. Answer the riddle correctly to finally gain “Riddlemaster”.

You can then pick one of
✦ Tongue of Acid [Long Sword+3, +1d4 Acid DMG, 10% to cast Slow]
✦ Echo of a Fiend [Quarterstaff+3, 5% to cast Sunfire]
✦ The Guardian of the Devil [Helmet, -1 AC, 15% Physical Res., no good-aligned]

✪ The Last Duty / ✪ Divine Pact, ✪ Atonement, ✪ The Devil You Know

Your checkpoint is during the chain lift. There will be some fights there, drink your potions and save when you can. Once the reach the destination it will be too late to save.

Just make your choice, normally, fight, enjoy. Either path will give you "The Devil You Know":
Destroyed the devil Belhifet

Reload after you're back to the Dragonspear Castle to get the achievement(s) you're missing.

Left Aun Argent behind to guard the portal to the Prime Material Plane.
➤ poke Caelar’s pride (e.g. “You have been serving him already…”) and she will turn into a Blackguard. You’ll fight her and Belhifet. Aun will stay behind to close the portal, giving you “The Last Duty”

Recruited Caelar Argent to your side
Left Caelar Argent behind to guard the portal to the Prime Material Plane.
➤ accuse Hephernaan and go easy on Caelar and you will be able to ask her to join you for "Divine Pact". You will fight Hephernaan and Belhifet. Later, Caelar will stay back and close the portal giving "Atonement".

♥ Corwin (6), ♥ Neera (6)
If you are on the track, you cannot miss the last one. It is after you return from Avernus, after you open the door of vault and the soldiers start cheering on you

引用自 Corwin
“We’re getting close, GW. This will all be over soon”

引用自 Neera
“I never thought I’d be so happy to see normal, non-lava-spewing basement.”
Chapter 13

✪ It Wasn’t Me! / ✪ I Don’t Care

If you're fast, you can quicksave after the encounter with the Hooded Man and before you talk with Bence Duncan, otherwise use the autosave from the beginning of the chapter.

Proceed as you wish until the end of the game and reload for the other one. Be warned that you might get neither!

Convinced Duke Belt that you weren't responsible for Skie's murder.
When given the chance to defend yourself, mention 3 good deeds you done. As mentioned earlier, being a Paladin counts as a good deed, and having high reputation too. This unlocks "It Wasn't Me".

Convinced Corwin that you did not commit murder.
Don’t defend yourself during the trial. You’ll have to escape through the sewers later. Save when you get at this point circled in red[baldursgate.fandom.com].
The ensuing dialogue can be tricky. Corwin will corner you and you have to surrender. Do *not* mention Rohma or she will be pissed. This unlocks the “I Don’t Care”.

Skiiiiiiiie, do a barrel roooooll!!

♥ All - Conclusion

Unmissable. Your love affection (if any) will visit you.

引用自 Corwin
“GW. How are you?”
Corwin's Ending: she wants to believe you, but weather she believes you or not it doesn’t matter. Even if she did believe you, she couldn't help you because of Rohma, so she just breaks up with you there.

引用自 Neera
“Well, chains aren’t a good look for you…”
Neera's Ending: she kinda believes you, but cannot help with all the Red Wizards prying around. She leaves you there.

引用自 Safana
“Funny. I always thought that in this type of situation I would be on the other side of the bars…”
Safana's Ending: she does’t believe you and accuses you of playing her. She accuses you of breaking her heart, throws a lot of insults and leaves.

If you failed to give her the gift, if she didn’t like your poem or your kiss, or if you talked to Voghiln, she will have cheated on you with him at some point and will be caught in bed with him by Imoen.

引用自 Viconia
“I never thought I’d see you like this, abbil. Blood on your hands and fear in your eyes. I thought you’d be more clever.”
Viconia's Ending: she praises your evilness but chastise your stupidity, taunts you and insults Skie, saying she was worthless anyways. She leaves you there without any consolation.

✪ Grim Deeds to Come...
Fell to attackers outside of Baldur’s Gate

Complete the game.
Closing Words

It should come as no surprise that writing this guide took a gargantuan effort. Extracting the images, making the overlays, dealing with the formatting, replaying some things a thousand of times to check combinations of choices, etc.

The biggest hurdle is that Steam guides are bugged and deletes images silently. Reuploading them requires manually replacing all entries. I had to re-structure this multiple times to make it less reliant on images. If you do notice some weird empty space, do tell in the comments and I'll try to fix it.

If you found this guide useful, please give a shout! If you think I missed some important quest/item, do let me know and I'll see if I can squeeze them in.

If you finished this and you're still wondering "WTH does he mean "geodesical"?!?", here is the final spoiler:

warum einfach wenn’s kompliziert geht? The shortest path to the achievements in a relativistic universe is geodesical, not linear!

Should I do one for BG2? BG3, even? Should I find a job? there were sponsors in the end ☹

Either way: I had a blast and hope you had too.

@H4L I'm glad it was helpful!

I am indeed planning to write one for BG2, but I can only start in December, so don't hold your breath :P

A huge thank you, my friend—especially for keeping it spoiler-free. This is an incredible piece of work, and you’ve done an outstanding job. I’m really looking forward to your BG2 guide!

Oh, one more thing—for the "All the Enemies" achievement in SoD, in the "Julann and Rigah" section, choosing "You clearly have no interest in the truth" might actually be the better choice.
