GalacticDilo's Town of Salem 2 Slang, Terms, and Abbreviations
由 SxporfignngifropxS 制作
Chronic Town of Salem player GalacticDilo here

Over the years, the playerbase of Town of Salem have developed their own slang to spread knowledge and misinformation quicker in game. Ultimately, knowing their slang has become essential in order to play the game properly, so here are the slang and terms that I could think of as a veteran Town of Salem player. Some of the information present and not present in here is available inside of the game and I may have forgotten a few minor instances. Some of these will be obvious, but I want to list everything, even stuff you probably won't need.

Chat Terms
  • VFA/VFR: Vote for Alignment/Role - said when a player wants everyone to start voting players who do not reveal their Alignment. This is a common phase that occurs almost every game.
  • Alignment: Sub-Alignment - the two-name category on the Rolecard which indicates your Faction and the group that your role falls into. Roles in the same Sub-Alignment have similar abilities.
  • Claim: When someone asks you to claim, they're asking you to reveal your Role's Alignment
  • CC: Counterclaim - said in games where there are confirmed Alignments/Roles when a player wants to indicate that they are counterclaiming another persons claim.
  • Fullclaim: Fullclaiming is when a player claims their specific role and not an Alignment. I advise against this unless you're baiting or are a Town Investigative (you should always fullclaim when you're a TI)
  • Bait: Typing something in chat or acting a certain way to lure evil players into attacking you
  • Randoming: Completing an action randomly
  • RegHunting: Regular Hunting - When a player targets another player for a reason originating outside of the current match.
  • Scumreading: When a player determines your faction based on how you behave in the chat.
  • Throwing: Gamethrowing
  • Token: The Fool's/Jester Token - a token given to random players at the start of each day that grant a random negative or positive effect, including execution and resurrection. This is triggered by the Feelin' Lucky modifier, which is present in All Any Fools.
  • Will: A notepad you can edit anytime that's used to record your nightly and sometimes daily actions that's saved everytime you close it and is revealed upon death. You have access to private notes which are located next to your Will.
  • Chaining: When Town Protectives use their abilities on each other in order to protect each other
  • VFT: Vote For Time - When the town wants to vote up any player to extend the day.
  • Last trial: An excuse used to hang the person on the stand at the end of the day since no more trials can occur
  • Scrolling: Using Blessed Scrolls
  • Tp/LO: Asking for a Town Protective and or Lookout to visit.
  • Tome: Tome of Fate
  • "_on _": Asking for _ role to visit _.
  • "I'm new.": Sometimes used by new players to indicate to others that they're new, but it is also used as a strategy by some players to trick the town into going easy on them.
