Hi,

Are you tired of spending countless hours trying to mod a game from the past decade?
- So was I :( Until.. NOW :)

I'm sharing an all in one mod pack for you guys to enjoy. Take it as the Expanded and Enhanced version of GTA IV without the burden of downgrading and spending countless hours trying to fix some ram issue. friggin 4go limitation of RAM 32bit type shi...
This pack includes Reshade Preset, reworked cars and new ones (lore friendly), reworked vegetation, reworked roads and pretty much new texture and ambients changes.

All of that available now at the tip of your fingertips for the Complete Edition, ain't that beautiful?

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS : (MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A CLEAN INSTALLATION!) download the archive from the link > open the archive > select all the files and folders > drag n drop into GTAIV folder > enjoy > you officially have the v1 of Expanded and Enhanced version of GTA IV Complete Edition.

- in steam :Go to your Library and find Grand Theft Auto IV in your game list on the left. Right-click on the game title and select Properties. In the Properties window, look for the section called Launch Options right in the middle, and enter the following in the field : -availablevidmem 8192 -nomemrestrict -norestrictions

This forces the game to recognize 2GB (2048MB) of video memory. You may also tweak the value (2048) based on your actual VRAM. As long as the game doesn't try to use more VRAM than your GPU actually has you should have no issues. Keep in mind the game only uses 1417 MB of VRAM in 4K (2160p) with maxed out settings.

I highly recommend to cap your fps at 40 if you've got a low/mid range tier pc (+ it allows you to finish the game)

To open reshade panel press on your keyboard : _ (its the '8' key not on the numpad) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

DARK SKY FIX
If you launch your game and that you are missing your HUD and the sky, Do NoT wOrRy.

Simple fix : alt + tab then go back to the game!

Boom sky is back and everything works fine :D
TAXI BUG FIX
So taxi bug is the biggest issue with modding IV. But there is a simple fix to that.

Easy way (download and follow read me file's instructions) :

Step 1 : Go to your GTAIV folder

Step 2 : Open the plugins folder

Step 3 : Open the file called GTAIV.EFLC.Fusionfix

Step 4 : Scroll down the page until you find the section called [BudgetedIV]

Step 5 : Increase the VehiculeBudget to 95371000 then press "left control + S" so it save the file

FINAL : Congrats! You have fixed the taxi bug for GTA IV and the episodes as well !! :D

ps : sometimes the taxi bug will occur if you speed too hard into certain zones, mostly happens in central park realm.

Ooo, I didn't notice the youtube link that had some of the credits, as well as the link to the car mod packs in the header area. Thank you! Wasn't trying to insinuate that you were stealing credit for them or anything, don't worry! I just know some mod creators can be big sticklers about such things so wanted to save you the hassle of them annoying you possibly in the future 😂

I was able to try it out and was insanely[/b]/i] grateful to find this guide and modpack download. The nightmare of having to re-find all the fixes and such to get this to work when I have to uninstall/reinstall the game was always something I never wanted to face lol. But this was an immediate fix to the plethora of performance issues the game has while also breathing a bit of new life into it.

I may update it with the new version of Fusion Fix since it can elevate the game even more to modern standards..

Hey Apathetic, thanks for your kind and constructive comment! :D Unfortunately I no longer work on this mod pack and the first DLC is not even yet to come out since there's a heavy restriction of things that the CE can handle.

The police force overhaul was meant to bring a broader and more accurate representation of the NYPD while still keeping it lore friendly (lore brands, and lcpd), also giving new clothes/textures to the cops of Liberty City. DLC one is content that would've been too big to keep the game stable, it would've been a standalone that you can choose to install or not.

The credits unfortunaterly doesn't contain all of the mods included that is my mistake, but you can find all of them in the yt playlist link with tutorials on how to install them and how they work.
I don't claim ownership of anything since I'm just compiling them into an easy to install modpack.

Taxi bug was the main threat to this modpack since there's so much that the game can handle CE or OG, […]

[…] I'd agree with you that it could be better explained since it's a vital part of this pack. (it is a nightmare that still haunts me as the fix to it is "just" to downsize/scale every new textures)

The version in the google drive is still the lastest and most stable version of it all, pretty much pushed to the absolute limit of what the game can handle. GTA IV being GTA IV it does crash while you expect it the least.

I was in the works of porting more content onto the episodes since they have a bigger texture budget (dlc 1) but got caught up with irl things.. It does work tho!

I'll try to gather back all the ressources and list all the mods if I decide to pick it back up..

I hope that you've had the chance to try it, the main objective was indeed and still is to bring back people to this wonderful game without the wrestling part of it to make it work!

I'd personally recommend creating a section that has a list of everything included! Love the idea of all the fixes being in one place and can stand the lore-friendly car additions but the "(WIP) DLC 1 : Police Force Overhaul" makes me a little wary of what this'll turn into. Would also help people if they wish to keep modding the game to know what they already have installed from this mod pack! (I'm sure the creators of said mods would also enjoy having credit where credit is due)

Would also recommended describing what the "Taxi Bug" is as not everyone will be well-versed in GTA 4 modding to know what the bug is and if the fix is necessary (myself being included 😅)

Thank you very much for this mod pack though! :luv: Keep wanting to get back into this game since moving to PC many years ago but... the massive amount of modding required to even get this game to work is such a PITA. Does this also work for the DLC chapters? or just the base game?

@xXTakuraXx NOTE; i am NOT using this modpack. the missing bowling lane arrow prompt issue fixed itself for me after starting a new game. nothing had to be removed. this issue definitely has to due with trainers, but again a new game fixed the issue for me.

@iZaK v2 I am on that date mission lol The arrows to start/pick a lane are gone. After removing everything from the mod it works fine.
