This is what weapons I run as a Medic with randoms. This goes over the weapons and the way I play as a Medic. You heal and deal with pests while the others roles focus on those bigger boys your mom told you to stay away from.

VS-11

The Vs-11 is just your bread and butter. This weapon will carry you to your final weapon that you choose. Even just the basic level for these two mods at Hard difficulty can show you how it works without having to invest into higher tiers and to see if this playstyle is fun for you.

The Two main mods I run are Hollow Point Rounds and Heavy Frame. Everything else added is just luxury and makes the gun more expensive. So try and keep the price within reason if you add other mods.
Why Heavy Frame?
The added Damage is too good and losing fire rate means nothing to an already high fire rate gun. Plus the more you upgrade it, the more damage and healing it does. It also starts to reduce the negative impact on the firerate when upgraded.

Why Hollow Point Rounds?
We are focusing on the Cut Damage type and the Zeds that are weak against it.
Your Role With This Gun
The Three You's
  • You are a trash cleaner.
  • You clear the way for your teammates to go beat up the big bullies that are too scary.
  • You heal :)

The Main Targets
  • Clot's
  • Crawler's
  • Cyst's
  • Bloat's
  • Gorefast's
These targets fill up the majority of the waves.
If you dont know what they look like, I recommend looking through the Codex and view the Zeds tab.

This is the Most Important Part to Understand

You will be doing 1/2 damage or 1/4 damage against Armor or Zedtech.
You will be dumping so much ammo its not worth your time until someone else breaks that part off for flesh to be shown or handles the problem themselves.

With this in mind, Cutting Damage Type Is strong against Flesh and will slaughter those targets with well placed shots or spraying into the crowd. You will be doing 2x damage to these targets and 4x to those who are weak against cutting.
Bloats and Scrakes are weak against cutting but Scrakes need to have their armor removed from their face to kick in.

Extra Details of This Role
Clearing the small zeds reduces the strain on your teammates to focus on the bigger threats. The more you clear the trash, the less you have to heal and with those extra darts you can save more lives.

Level 8 Passive Skill
The only reason i mention this skill is because it can affect the build in a big way.
Biohazard amps our damage up high against Flesh and Mire but we lose out on Stronger Prescription for stronger heals.
If you want to be more dedicated to killing these targets, take Biohazard. If not, id recommend Stronger Prescription for obvious reasons.
(Maybe Biohazard will be better for Hell on Earth to help clear but I need to test it more out)
The Next Gun
Choices

LF-85
A weapon that can guarantee having consistent darts to heal your team. The amount of healing this gun can produce in a round is as efficient as you spend ammo for the darts it can make.
Plus it does Biological damage. It will do 4x damage to Clots, Gorefasts, Scrakes (without face armor) and allows us to do damage against the flesh parts on Husks/Sirens. The down side is now Bloats are neutral to this damage. We are still useless against Armor and Zedtech.

LF-85 Mods
DO NOT GRAB COLD FUSION CONVERTER
Freeze has too many negatives for the Medic and has no synergy in their skills for it. Leave the frost damage to Sharpshooters or "special" Engineers.
The two main mods I would recommend are Biomorphic Boosted Battery and Undervolted Receiver. Anything else just raises the price too much and we are already sitting at 5k. Anything else is luxury and can be added later.


Biomorphic Boosted Battery doubles the cost of our heal darts from 1 to 2 but provides a very generous increase to instant healing while giving us an additional overtime healing. We produce darts already super quick so doubling the cost doesn't hurt.


Undervolted Receiver gives us more damage as well as more healing. What else is their to say about it.

K&W MP6
Grab the same Mods as the Vs-11. Heavy Frame and Hollow Point again. If you really need me to explain it again, read about Vs-11 again. Realistically its just a slight upgrade from the Vs-11 but its honestly better to use the LF-85 due to healing potential and upgrade to bio damage.

For the freeze, though I think bio is fine cold doesn't lack synergy because Medic doesn't actually get increased bio damage anywhere in the kit. having multiple types of damage is generally better than only doing one type.

Just buy artemis marksman with armour piercing asap then buy insta heal modded pistol for last weapon you can go laser rifle or vulcan then at boss swap the artemis for an enfeeble g33....

you're forgetting the most important healing weapon in the whole game, the medic pistol with instant heal darts and increased recharge. If everyone in the team has one the survival on the team is drastically increased
