No One Left Behind (1.6)

Description
This is an update of Captain Muscles' original mod:

Which was then updated by SaberVS7 (1.2-1.5) here

Sillies haven't updated yet, no hurry, but I've been using my own updated version and figured other people might want it too. I don't own this, if it needs to be removed, let me know.

Would you sit idly by and leave your friends to die? Now your enemies won't either (maybe).

No One Left Behind enables your enemies to rescue their fallen allies when fleeing a battle.

Details
________________________________________________________________________________________

Enemies have a chance to rescue their allies when fleeing, giving up, stealing, or kidnapping.
Decision of who to rescue is influenced by the rescuers opinion of, the market value of, and the distance to the potential target.
The chance to rescue and search radius are different for each triggering situation.
The chance to rescue and search radius can be overridden across the board in the mod settings.
Rescue check happens periodically, so a fleeing pawn may decide to pick up an ally that falls nearby along the way.
Search radius is multiplied by rescuer health percentage, so wounded pawns won't go as far to rescue.

Honestly it would be cool if this mechanic can also be based off ideology. So like a raider-esc ideology might care less about its fallen comrads than something like the shattered empire

I think by realistic he meant that, if you see your friend, sibling, partner, whatever injured and you know your group is retreating, some people will risk their lives to save them, instead of fleeing and save themselves even if its the "rational" choice. Remember that in the rim, not everyone is a soldier

@Sir Duncan Idaho Depending on who you ask, pretty sure rules of engagement aren't a thing in this game (pretty sure there is a mod for that), and "thinking realistically" someone carrying a downed member is not only slower but also likely won't be shooting back, so yes sniper fodder sounds quite apt.

@Balthazad start thinking realistically instead of as a metagamer, and you can answer your own question.

i see the realism intent, but isn't this mod turning all the potential rescuers into nothing but additional sniper fodder...?

@Stim The One Here you go! Use this one!

Does this apply to allied assistance as well? I have the classical mod and the western republic constantly sends guys that then proceed to fall and keep the entire group from leaving. Would be nice if they also rescued their own.

sometimes raiders retreat if their forces endure too much losses in too short time.

What does "giving up" mean?
