A Mountain Trip - Chapter 3

描述
It's now time to take a trip to mountains. Sam is tasked to clear the surroundings
of important highway by starting in countryside area and moving deeper into
mountains. This campaign is kind of reimagining/continuation of France episode, but this
time we reach mountains that was seen faraway.
Level includes:
-New models
-New textures
-New sounds
Have a nice trip;)
Chapter 3 is the continuation of chapters 1 and 2 and is standalone for now. Full campaign package will
be posted some time in the future. Chapter 3 starts with 6 skill points and all the weapons obtained in previous
chapters.
It is highly recommended to play with "ground cast shadows" enabled as without it
a big part of atmosphere is gonna be lost)
Yes chapter 3 still overrides game files. Full campaign package will hopefully be completely standalone in terms of modified resources.
Overridden files are:
-pistol deals less damage
-assault rifle ammo pick up is 35 bullets
-pick up key model has no rotation animation
-octanian vertical switch mesh has no wire part

Love this map the most out of all 3! This is honestly what I expected from SS4 campaign's France episode. Using motorcycle for the whole duration, amazing village exploration and great enemy encounters. As someone in comments said I would like to see a continuation of this in Siberian Mayhem setting that would act as sort of Episode 2 where you start from scratch. All weapons, and skill points being reset and new weapons and enemies to play with.

I was really looking forward to the third chapter, I will play it on the weekend. Thanks for your work. You create very cool things, I really hope that you will not stop. It does not matter whether it will be SS4 or SM.

I like the idea of potentially continuing this project with SM as there is indeed quite a bit of potential. Not sure if it would be a direct sequel or its own standalone thing but either way I'd be down.

If it does end up being a continuation, it'd be cool to see Sam actually going up into snowy mountain peaks and driving through a mix of regular/snowy environments.

Thanks for feedback) For SS4 that's all. There will be full campaign release with slight improvements and no file overrides. If there gonna be continuation it will be for SM cos there's potential)

Finally sat down and beat the map. Overriding game files aside, the map is absolutely incredible!

Like chapter 2, there's lots of unique visuals and intricately detailed points of interest to explore. Secrets for the most part are incredibly well hidden (only found 10/13), and while they might not all be very rewarding, I think a lot of the charm is in figuring out how to get to them.

I'm curious to know if there are going to be any more chapters as I think there's a lot of potential and I look forward to seeing the campaign version whenever that gets released.

I recommend listing all overridden game files. But regardless of that, map looks interesting.
