They are also claiming the "win" (https://www.collectiveshout.org/win-new-steam-policy-games-removed) and saying it was the result of their campaign, but I have hard time imagining these giant corporations folding to some activist group.

The niche 18+ game is but a scapegoat, they will push for normal games that is even less 18+ then the last, then it will be normal games and there is evidences for that ie, Detroit: Become Human, DeadorAlive, also they are going after the Anime manga market.
