Head South-East from the Hunter's Hut, and you will find a path back to your farm! Here, you can drop off the decorations and other items you were given if you wish to do so, freeing up some inventory space.

You have one more villager to meet.Head back into town, and go East from the Root Cellar to find the Mayor's House.

Theo waits to meet you, and as a welcome gift, he will give you 200 Coins.

Current villagers met: 26/26

In addition, if he is the last villager you need to meet, he will also let you finish the quest Meet and Greet when you talk to him again, giving you an additional reward of of some Nutty Cheese Wedges.

If you are struggling to find villagers in their homes, don't worry. They are most likely out doing their daily tasks. You can use the Map or Villager tabs in the menu to find their location.
The rest of the day is yours to explore, forage, mine and start clearing the farm at your own pace.
Day 2 - No Time for Rest, it's time to Quest
With your first day meeting the villagers and getting to know the town, you might of experimented with planting some crops, chopping down trees, mining rocks, foraging, mining and fishing.

That is a great start to help you get yourself familiar with the game. By day two, you should start looking at some of those quests that you got as many will provide some helpful items to help with your farming.

First step should be to plant those carrot seeds you got from Beatrix. Plant the 5 of them and, if it is not raining, water them with you Wooden Watering Can, which you can fill from the river to the right of your farm.

These will day a few days to grow, and you will need to remove weeds.

If you are able to get some compost from the General store or make some yourself in the compost bin, you should apply it to any crops you have to increase both their growth time and their yields.

What you choose to do next is up to you in any order.

Rowan's Wood
Cut down some trees for Rowan's quest. He needs Medium wood, which can easily be collected from Maple trees on your farm, as well as clear out some space for later.

With 20 Medium Wood, you can turn it in to Rowan to get the Saw. The Saw is an important building that turns any wood into planks, which are needed for crafting and making buildings. You also get the ability to make one at your crafting table.

Fisher-Bun
Finding a Whitefish out of all the shadows may be a small challenge, but it is rather easy if you keep your eye out.

To start fishing, simply select your Wooden Rod, and toss the bobber into the water after choosing the distance. Fish nearby will have a question mark over their head, meaning that they are in range of the bobber.
Simply wiggle or reel in slightly to get their attention, until they have an exclamation point. Don't do it too much or you will scare the fish off.

When your character has the exclamation point over their head, you must react or you will miss your chance.

To find a Whitefish, you simply look for a medium shadow in the water along the coastline, either in the village, the farm or the marsh. If you see no medium shadows, simply leave the area and come back to try and see if a new shadow appears.

Turning in this fish to Wilfred gives you a Fish Trap, a very handy tool for your farm that allows you to place Kibble in and catch fish.

Dig Deep
Diving into the mines, you are met with both a maze and darkness. Your goal here, is to collect at least six copper ore. Five for Gruff, and one for later.

Look around the area, move where you are able, and you will be able to harvest various ores from the mine walls, getting you Stone, Coal, Copper, Tin and Quartz.

If you are running low on stamina, you should eat some food so you can keep mining.
In addition, be careful when the screen shakes. It means the mine isn't stable in this part and you should avoid digging forward, or the whole mine will collapse and you will be forced to start over from Floor 1.

As you explore the mines, you may find some gems and ores that aren't in the walls. You can pick these up without your pickaxe.

In addition, any crosses on the ground you see you can dig up for additional goodies with your Hoe.

As you dig through the mines, you may come cross some old chests. These contain many good items and are worth emptying them. Once empty, you can destroy them with your pick for a single Plank.

Once you collected the ore, turn it into Gruff and you will give you the recipe to make a Furnace. This will be valuable for when you need metal bars for upgrades and tools later.

Research Specimens 25
Adeline and Beryl are constantly researching new methods to help the town, and almost all items you can mine, fish, forage and farm can be turned in to their donation box at the manor.

What is different about this quest, compared to the others, is that this line of quests is ongoing through the year and you do not need to rush to complete it on your first few days. However, it is recommended that you try and turn in as many items as you can to get valuable rewards that make your farming management easier to deal with.

Any item with a magnifying glass on it can be turned in for research and you only need one of each item.

Turn in items you find, and you will unlock the Smoker. The Smoker is an important building for your farm that smokes fish, meat, cheese and nuts for preserving.

These few quests will be the start of your days on the farm, introducing you to several important mechanics to get you started.
Day 3 - Your list of Chores, gather wood, stone and ores
Day 4 - You know the land, now make your plan
Day 5 - Don't be a fool, and not upgrade your tool
Day 6 - Farm, Fish and Mine, you are doing just fine.
Day 7 - You made it through! Now, it is up to you!
