Welcome to this comprehensive guide on the enhancement system in The Quinfall! If you're new to the game or struggling with upgrading your gear, this
guide will walk you through everything you need to know about enhancing your weapons, armor, and accessories.

The good news is that The Quinfall's enhancement system is more forgiving than other MMORPGs like Black Desert Online (BDO), Mortal Online 2, or UO
Outlands. While these games share many similarities, The Quinfall has a much more player-friendly approach to gear enhancement.

The Star Rating System
The enhancement system in The Quinfall uses a 5-star rating system:
  • Each piece of equipment can be enhanced up to 5 stars
  • As you enhance your gear, you progress through these star levels
  • Each star level increases the stats of your equipment
What Happens When You Fail
Unlike some other MMORPGs where failing an enhancement can completely destroy your gear, The Quinfall is more forgiving:
  • When you fail an enhancement, your gear does NOT get destroyed
  • Instead, it loses some progress within the current star level
  • You might go down slightly in the star rating, but not a full star
  • This makes the system much less punishing than similar games
Success Rates
As you progress through the star levels, enhancement becomes increasingly difficult:
  • Early star levels have higher success rates
  • Later levels become progressively harder
  • Going from 4 to 5 stars has approximately a 4% success rate
Enhancement Materials
To enhance your gear, you'll need specific materials. Here are the key items:

1. Nebulas
These items increase your chance of successful enhancement:
  • Blue Nebulas - Basic chance increase
  • Purple Nebulas - Better chance increase
  • Legendary Nebulas - Best chance increase (save these for 3+ star enhancements)

2. Star Scrolls
These protect your gear from losing progress when you fail:
  • Regular Star Scrolls - Basic protection
  • Legendary Star Scrolls - Better protection with additional benefits

3. Meteor Souls
Special items that can increase your success chance to 45% or higher

4. Astral Cloth
Required material for higher-level enhancements (2+ stars)

How to Obtain Enhancement Materials
There are two primary ways to get enhancement materials:

1. Dungeons (Primary Method)
  • Running dungeons is the main way to obtain enhancement materials
  • Different dungeons drop different types and quantities of materials
  • This should be your primary focus for gathering materials

2. Profession Vendor Exchanges
This is a daily activity you should be doing:

  1. Gather profession materials (fishing, mining, etc.)
  2. Find profession NPCs in towns
  3. Exchange materials for tokens:
    • Talk to profession NPCs (like the Fisherman)
    • Press "T" on your keyboard
    • Trade your gathered materials for profession tokens
  4. Trade tokens for enhancement materials:
    • Go to an Armorer NPC
    • Press "T" on your keyboard
    • Select "Exchange"
    • Trade your tokens for enhancement materials

Important: This exchange resets daily, so make sure to do it every day for consistent material income!
Enhancement Strategy
Early Levels (0-2 Stars)
  • You can enhance without using special materials
  • Success rates are relatively high
  • Save your valuable materials for later

Mid Levels (2-3 Stars)
  • Start using blue or purple Nebulas
  • Consider using Star Scrolls if you're close to the next star
  • Pro Tip: When you're one enhancement away from reaching the next star level, consider using a Legendary Star Scroll. This way, if you succeed, you'll jump halfway into the next star level!

High Levels (3-5 Stars)
  • Only use Legendary or Purple Nebulas
  • Always use protection scrolls
  • Be prepared for many failures
  • Stock up on materials before attempting
