SF.260D

Beskrivelse
The Leonardo SF-260D is a small, side-by-side 2 seater trainer aircraft, which is additionally used for aerobatics. This version of the little trainer (D variant) was introduced in 1985 with a more civil design with airframe and aerodynamic improvements, targeted for the common civilian flier. It replaced the SF-260C variant and shared many similarities with the SF-260M variant.

This version of the aircraft (as faithfully created in Stormworks as can be) stands at 7.25m long, and 8.25m wide. It can reach speeds up to 213kts and cruises at a safe 153kts. With the right throttle management, it can reach up to 500km away before running out of fuel, making the max range 240-250km if you want to return home safely.

Overall, the aircraft is quite tame and makes a nice, fun plane to use for smaller trips and aerobatics. It was created as close to the real counterpart as it could be and so may share many of the same features.
The Belgian livery was added purely due to preference, no actual meaning to it rather than the fact it looks cool.

Start-up

1:Enable the "Magnetos" & "Fuel pump" switch
2:Hold ignition switch until engine RPM is around 180
3:Enable the "Parking brake disable"
4:Put throttle to 25% and taxi to runway
5:Throttle up to full
6:Level out and set autopilot

Landing

1:Be at least 2-3km from the runway and begin lining up
2:Put throttle around 52% (or around 80-83kts)
3:Enable "Landing brakes"
4:Keep aligned on runway and be aware to not descend too quickly, if you are increase throttle a little and correct course

Finding a good creation that hasn't been polluted by XML editing (AKA signs the creator is too lazy to play the game as intended) is hard now, so please do.

Please do, you'd be doing all of us customizers a huge favor.

i mean if you really want i can wip up a really basic and ugly one thats more customizable, but i wont as that goes against how i play the game

guh? i feel like xml editing makes it moreso thinking outside the box, like i'd have never thought of using a solid rocket booster like that for the inlet. yet xml makes that possible, also. this is NOT good as a fighter platform, and for recon. just get some binos, or a platform large enough to support a radar. rather then a purpose built incredibly small airframe, this is meant to be a plane for going from point A to B nothing more, and its meant to be fancy while doin it. nothing more tho, as it cant fit anything more with how small it is.

What if I want a recon plane? Light fighter? Ever thought of that?
Stop using XML editing, because they're just a way to show that you're too lazy to think outside the box for detail.

and, installing radar on a civilian vehicle makes no sense

..its almost like i was designed to have that stuff in it

It's not a skill issue. XML editing genuinely ruins it for people who like to customize workshop build because then we have to remove EVERY SINGLE XML EDITED COMPONENT before we can add out own additions, such as a gyro, camera, radar, etc.
