Workaround fix: If your game crashes or shows black screen go into your game folder and set Obscure 2.exe in properties to Windows XP Service Pack 3 compatibility mode. This solved a lot of my black screen issues till the issue came back later on in the game.


Real fix: This enabled me to pass the Tree boss fight after 10-15 attempts getting a black screen without DXVK
Download the latest DXVK. Primarily dxvk27tarzg[github.com]
Open the .rar folder you downloaded and open x32 then copy d3d9.dll and paste that .dll file to your main game location. Obscure 2.exe is a 32bit exe and uses Directx3d 9 as it's renderer.
Obscure 2 should now hopefully run through DXVK with less issues.
