1. Install Gal*Gun 2, the VR DLC, and any other DLC for the game you desire.

2. Start the game in normal Desktop mode and switch the game to Windowed mode in graphics settings (this prevents resolution issues in VR)

3. Enable English subtitles if you don't know Japanese

4. Configure VR settings as desired

5. Ensure you save all the options changes you made in steps 2, 3, and 4.

6. Exit the game and under the game's properties in your Steam library, add -vr to the game's launch options. This will ensure the game never launches in flat desktop mode.

7. Right click on the game in your Steam library and click manage->browse local files and under GalGun 2\GalGun2\Content\Paks create a folder called "Mods"

8. Download the Black Screen mod[galgun.pikachu.moe] and extract its two files to the "Mods" folder. This will prevent an annoying black screen issue and applies to all headsets.

9. If you desire clothing removal mods or other mods, join the unofficial Gal*Gun discord server[discord.gg] and see the "modifications-club" section. Read the Readme.txt instructions carefully when installing these mods, and make sure you only download VR-compatible, "PostVR" mods. I recommend removing socks and shoes if you remove all other clothing since I experienced game crashes when leaving them, and there was no warning about this. Make sure you have nothing but .pak and .sig files in your "Mods" folder. You'll have to just copy-paste files from individual folders of the mod files. Remember to not use mod files that are incompatible with each other (as per the Readme.txt instructions provided).

10. If you need to setup Virtual Desktop for PC VR with your Quest 3, check out this 5 minute Quest 3 Virtual Desktop Tutorial. If you have a dedicated PC VR headset like a Vive you should be all set already.

11. Make sure all controllers and/or VR sensors are on before launching the game. It's best to launch it when Steam VR is already up and running smoothly. I recommend starting a new game also and not using old saves, especially if the old saves were used before you installed new mods or DLCs.

12. On the Quest 3, navigate in the game menu by moving the right thumbstick up/down/left/right and simultaneously pressing the right thumbstick button. The trigger button is the select button and the lower grip button functions as the "back" button. During the middle of missions and other times, use "Y" or "B" if you want to bring up the game menu. You can also skip the intro loading animation of the game with "Y" or "B".

13. Enjoy the game!

Note: The instructions above work for a Quest 3 and Vive headsets, and I've only tested the game on these. I mainly made this guide for myself to be honest in case I forget anything, but I thought it might help others too.
