NVN2 Achievement Guide & Tips
由 praevus 制作
This guide shall assist you in unlocking all 44 Steam Achievements for Neverwinter Nights 2: Enhanced Edition. All 19 hidden achievements are batched into their own subsections for the Official Campaign, Mask of the Betrayer, and Mysteries of Westgate. This guide therefore serves as a reference sheet for checking which hidden achievement(s) you have remaining to complete—and how you can go about their completion.

Note #1: Some achievements require either an additional playthrough or a reload of an earlier saved game to acquire the achievement, so make sure to save your game often.

Note #2: The Official Campaign, Mask of the Betrayer, and Storm of Zehir are partitioned into three separate 'Acts': Act I (early game), Act II (mid-game), and Act III (endgame). This guide implements this terminology throughout—highlighting the 'Acts' with bold & underlined text to make them further distinguishable.

Note #3: To be on the safe side—do not use any of the console commands, debug menu options, and mods before having acquired all of the Steam achievements. The game presents the following warning text: "Using cheats will block your Achievement progress!" Not sure if this means all codes or just some, so it is best practice to not attempt entering any codes (or installing any mods) before acquiring all of the achievements.

Spoiler Warning: Some explanations required for achievements & tips may involve spoilers for the game.

For those who own & play Neverwinter Nights 2: Platinum: I am actively exporting the tips section of this guide to make a guide that is accessible for NVN2: Platinum. For anyone interested—my guide for the Platinum edition of NVN2 can be found here: https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3531581249

It is my aim to keep this guide as concise as possible—but if additional clarification on how to unlock an achievement is needed—please comment with the request and I will update this guide with further information.

Official Campaign — Achievements

Neverwinter Knight
Beat the main campaign and expansions on Hardcore Rules or higher

First thing you should do before starting any of the campaigns is to make sure you set your difficulty to either 'D&D Hardcore Rules' or 'Very Difficult' in the options menu. You need to beat the official campaign and the expansion packs—without lowering the difficulty setting—for this achievement to unlock.

Note: It appears that you cannot lower the difficulty at any time during your gameplay without voiding this achievement. Please comment if you find out otherwise.

See the Character Build — Tips & Suggestions section and the Character Build — Superman section below if you want to experience a much quicker and easier time with this game—and in unlocking all of its achievements.

All Forgiving
Help someone who doesn't deserve it

During the attack on West Harbor at the start of the game in Act I—make sure to heal Ward Mossfeld yourself—or with the aid of Brother Merring.

Prestigious Too
Choose a Prestiege Class

Note: That is the game's typo, not mine. It should read as Choose a Prestige Class

Make sure to read through all the prerequisites needed for the (locked) prestige classes to ensure that you're contributing towards a character build that can choose to acquire a Prestige Class later in the game. Pay attention to these prerequisites each time you level up your character.

Alternatively—Mask of the Betrayer provides access to a high level at the start of the game—so you can quickly make a character build with a Prestige Class in that expansion pack instead.

Dressed to the Nines
Become one of the Neverwinter Nine

At the start of Act III—Lord Nasher invites you to become one of the Neverwinter Nine—make sure to accept his offer and this achievement will unlock.

Note: This achievement has nothing to do with the 'Neverwinter Nine' Prestige Class.

Self-Cultivation...
Reach level 20 for any character

Gain enough Experience Points to reach level 20 during Act III of the Official Campaign.

Alternatively—playing Mask of the Betrayer provides level 18 (if there is no level adjustment) at the start of the game—which makes reaching level 20 very doable early on.

Moment of Peace
Take a rest in the final dungeon

In the final dungeon—Vale of Merdelain—click on 'Rest' and finish resting for 5 seconds (without being interrupted by one of the random encounters that spawn when resting in this dungeon).

The Road Ahead
Complete Neverwinter Nights 2

This achievement unlocks when you complete the Official Campaign for NVN2.

Official Campaign — Companion Achievements

Fists of Fury
Complete Khelgar Ironfist's quest line

Recruit Khelgar at the Weeping Willow Inn (this happens very early on in Act I) and complete his companion quests. After visiting the Temple of Tyr located at Neverwinter's Merchant Quarter—talk to Prior Hlam—he will assign you 3 separate quests: the Trial of the Even-Handed, the Trial of the Maimed, and the Trial of Justice. You need to complete these three quests/trials to finish the Khelgar Vision Quest and unlock this achievement:
  • The Trial of the Even-Handed requires you to raise your influence with Khelgar—talk to him—and then select the dialogue option "I wanted to ask you about some of our companions." If your influence is high enough with Khelgar you will be successful in your influence check. After this successful dialogue—talk to Prior Hlam to finish this quest.

  • The Trial of the Maimed requires you to go to the Dwarven Scouts area after visiting Old Owl Well. Finish this scouting mission by acquiring the Gauntlets of Ironfist in the cave area (do not sell or discard these gauntlets at any point—they are needed in Act III for the quest Alliance with Clan Ironfist). Don't forget to grab the Strange Part in the cave upon entering, you need this item to access the final area in the cave to finish the quest. After completing the trial, talk to Prior Hlam to finish this quest.

  • The Trial of Justice requires you to complete the Ember trial in Act II. The Trial of Justice completes itself automatically when Khelgar speaks of the Ember trial before the fight against Lorne. Now you can talk to Prior Hlam about having completed this trial—thus ending the quest. Additionally, Khelgar can now become a monk.

The Greatest Thief in Neverwinter
Complete Neeshka's quest line

Recruit Neeshka at Fort Locke (this happens very early on in Act I) and complete her companion quests. In Neverwinter's Docks District, you will be attacked by Bennon, and when you enter the Merchant Quarter you will be attacked by Tremmel.

After these two attacks, travel to the Moonstone Mask and talk to Ophala to uncover Leldon's Hideout located in the Merchant Quarter. Retrieve Leldon's Lucky Coin and fight Leldon—who subsequently throws down smoke bombs in order to retreat.

In the beginning of Act II, leave the Sunken Flagon with Neeshka to encounter Tasha. Afterwards, travel to Neverwinter's Blacklake and go into the Collector's Mansion.

In the kitchen area on the first floor, acquire the Empty Bottle from the Wash Basin and drag the item into the Vase of Water to turn it into a Bottle of Water. You need this item to acquire the key found in the fireplace on the second floor. You also need to acquire Vania's Key from Vania (on the first floor) and then the Collector's Key from the Collector (on the second floor).

The Collector's Door requires two keys and one code: the Collector's Key, the key from the fireplace, and the code '513'. Once you have opened this door—defeat Leldon when he arrives—and after defeating Leldon a cutscene occurs with Neeshka and you unlock this achievement.

Tree-Worshipper
Complete Elanee's quest line

Recruit Elanee at the Road to Highcliff (this happens very early on in Act I) and complete her companion quests. In the Neverwinter Docks District, you will find a Wounded Wolf very close to the Weaponsmith (marked on the map) in an alleyway. Talk to the Wounded Wolf so that you can then travel to Skymirror and converse with the Elders of the Circle of Swords.

In Skymirror, you need to cast 4 separate Level 2 Nature spells on the Old Worn Trees marked on the map. Open Elanee's spellbook and equip Bull's Strength, Cat's Grace, Creeping Cold and Owl's Wisdom. In that same order, cast the spells on 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th trees, interacting with the tree each time after casting the spell. Now you can talk to Naevan at the lake.

Now you must wait for the start of Act III where you can then travel to the Circle of the Mere and complete Elanee's companion quest. Make sure you garner enough positive influence with Elanee to keep her on your side when you come up against the Circle.

The Girl Who Lived
Complete Qara's quest line

Recruit Qara outside of the Sunken Flagon in Neverwinter's Dock District during Act I and complete her companion quests. In Act III, talk to Khralver Irlingstar in the Crossroad Keep Courtyard and tell him that you have accepted Sydney Natale's offer to go on a journey to Neverwinter with Qara and Zhjaeve. Before arriving at the agreed upon location—you will encounter Sydney in a Forest. Deal with this encounter and the achievement unlocks.

Reconstruction
Complete Grobnar Gnomehands' quest line

Recruit Grobnar at Neverwinter Wood during your travel to Old Owl Well in Act I and complete his companion quests. You need to acquire 3 separate items to reactivate the Construct: a Vial of Glowstone Water, The Ancient Art of Golemcraft, and a Rune-inscribed Iron Piece.
  • For the first item—travel to the Glowstone Cave (via Duskwood or Ember) and make sure to have Grobnar in your party. After collecting the Glowstone item, move towards the lake close by and you will acquire a Vial of Glowstone Water.

  • For the second item—travel to the Crossroad Keep Interior's Library section. The Library contains Aldanon's Bookcase, which will have The Ancient Art of Golemcraft book.

  • For the third item—travel to the Gem Mines and acquire the Rune-inscribed Iron Piece from the Cauldron in the room that possesses two workbenches.
After acquiring all three items—talk to Grobnar about reactivating the Construct—also unlocking this achievement.

More Than Companions
Have a close relationship with a companion

If your character is male—you need to gain high influence with Elanee.
If your character is female—you need to gain high influence with Casavir.
Once this prerequisite is accomplished—during Act III there will be a cutscene on the wall of Crossroad Keep—where either Elanee or Casavir declare their love to your character. Reciprocate to unlock this achievement.

Alternatively, this achievement can also be unlocked in Mask of the Betrayer
If your character is male—you need to gain high influence with Safiya.
If your character is female—you need to gain high influence with Gann.
Once this prerequisite is accomplished—at the end of Act II—while you are entering the Gate of the Betrayer, either Safiya or Gann declare their love to your character. Reciprocate to unlock this achievement.

Official Campaign — Hidden Achievements

The Harvest Cup
Win all events at the West Harbor Harvest Fair

This achievement is obtained by winning all of the events during the prologue/tutorial mission before entering into Act I. These quests include: The Harvest Brawl, The Tourney of Talent, The Archery Competition, and The Knaves' Challenge. The latter quest involves obtaining three different coloured feathers by disarming an electric trap set on a pile of logs, unlocking a nearby chest, and pick pocketing the man wearing green near Georg Redfell.

Law and Order
Complete the City Watch of Neverwinter quests

When you dock at Neverwinter for the first time during Act I, you have the option between joining the City Watch or the crime syndicate in Neverwinter. To unlock this achievement—join the City Watch and complete all of their quests. This achievement unlocks when you complete the final quest—Protecting the Watch's Informant.

Lawlessness and Disorder
Complete the Thieves of Neverwinter quests

When you dock at Neverwinter for the first time during Act I, you have the option between joining the City Watch or the crime syndicate in Neverwinter. To unlock this achievement—join the crime syndicate and complete all of their quests. This achievement unlocks when you complete the final quest—The Informant Uncovered.

Blacklake Got Talent
Obtain the Golden Lute of Shazar in a honest competition

At the start of Act II, travel to Neverwinter's Blacklake. Move towards the stadium close by and challenge the lutist Cain Lethellon.
  • For round one—pluck the lute strings in this order: '44124754'.

  • For round two: '234451122'.

  • For round three: '2332233175'.

  • For the fourth (& final) round: '35345272725'.
Make sure to use any skill checks that you are high in throughout the competition to gain an edge. Use Sand to heckle Cain, this gives you +1 influence with Sand and thus will be helpful for the Not Guilty achievement later on. After defeating Cain—you can now obtain the Golden Lute of Shazar.

Not Guilty
Prove your innocence at the Trial

During Act II, you are required to attempt to vindicate yourself of the charges laid before you at the Trial for the Ember massacre. To unlock this achievement you need to reach a verdict in your favour at the Trial. Here is a list of things to focus on in order to succeed with the Ember trial:
  • During your first visit to Ember in Act I, allow Marcus to take the skinning knife from Bishop.

  • In Act II, talk with Nya in Port Llast and finish the assigned quest by revisiting Ember and using the Bag of Wyrmsage on all of the corpses. Ember also has the Quartermaster's Log and the Poisoned Corpse that prove as useful evidence.

  • During the revisitation of Ember, make sure to go inside the Well and speak to Marcus. You can now gain his favour as a witness for the trial.

  • Traverse further inside the Well to acquire the Signet Ring and Glowstone in the Caverns.
  • At Duskwood—acquire the Alteration Powder from Lyssa.

  • Optionally—you can also choose to use Alaine when you talk to her in Port Llast as a witness for the trial. Although as long as your influence is high with Shandra—this decision appears to hold little weight.

  • Gain high (positive) influence with Sand and Shandra.

  • Increase stats like diplomacy, bluff, intimidation, lore, intelligence, and charisma for enhanced dialogue options. You can buy a Nymph Cloak +4 and an Amulet of the Master from Dayne Lynneth in Blacklake. The cloak provides +4 Charisma and the latter provides +6 Diplomacy and +6 Lore. Headgear is discarded during the trial and thus will be of no assistance.
If you achieve enough successes during the Trial—this achievement unlocks while Lord Nasher is declaring your innocence.

The House That You Built
Fully upgrade your Keep

Talk to Master Veedle in Crossroad Keep Courtyard and pay for all of the available upgrades using the Keep's funds and/or your own gold. Every time you command Veedle to upgrade the Keep and its surrounding area—travel away from the Courtyard and revisit it to reset Veedle for another upgrade command to be commenced. You must wait until Act III to repair the tower and church. Ordering all of the Keep upgrades via Veedle unlocks this achievement.

Upgrades, People, Upgrades
Upgrade Construct to the maximum

After completing the Reconstruction achievement—talk to Construct and use the skills Craft Armor, Craft Weapon, and Craft Alchemy to upgrade him. Have Sand in your party while talking to Construct if you do not have sufficient points in Craft Alchemy.

If you do not have sufficient points in any of these three skills—use equipment, potions and spells to enhance your Intelligence ability score. You can buy Greater Gloves of the Artificer (+6 Skill Bonus to Craft Alchemy, Craft Armor, Craft Trap, and Craft Weapon) from Nya in Port Llast.

Out of all the classes, the following are particularly well-suited for acquiring this achievement:
Bard, Harper Agent, Invisible Blade, Neverwinter Nine, Red Dragon Disciple, Ranger, Dwarven Defender, Eldritch Knight, Cleric, Favored Soul, Divine Champion, Doomguide, Warpriest, Warlock, and Wizard. These classes offer Craft Armor, Craft Weapon, and Craft Alchemy as Class Skills (which allow your character to possess a higher proficiency/point level with these specific skills—if you choose to do so during the level ups).

Note #1: Your character should only need +15 in each of the three craft skills—so to ensure a favourable result, make sure to wear the Greater Gloves of the Artificer and raise your points in each skill to at least +9 (with or without Intelligence modifiers) while talking to Construct.

Note #2: Although I unlocked this achievement using Sand—a comment below has informed me that this did not work for them—and that they had to put points into Craft Alchemy to upgrade Construct with their own character to unlock this achievement.

To be on the safe side—put points into Craft Alchemy as well.

Kingslayer
Defeat the King of Shadows

During the endgame in Act III, choose to fight the King of Shadows and defeat him.

Shadow Over Neverwinter
Join the King of Shadows

During the endgame in Act III, choose to join the King of Shadows and defeat your companions (excluding Bishop).

This is the evil ending—and thus may only be accessible to those whose main character is of any evil alignment. To be on the safe side, make a character with the Chaotic Evil alignment—or shift your character's alignment to Chaotic Evil during your gameplay.

Mask of the Betrayer — Achievements

Suppressor
Use Suppress to reduce craving with five spirits nearby

During Act II or Act III—cast the Spirit-eater Feat Suppress while there are at least five spirits within your 20m radius.

I unlocked this achievement by casting Suppress on a friendly Telthor (Spirit) while it was roaming with its group in the south-west of the Ashenwood area. Ashenwood and the Nightshore—which are both filled with spirits—make for ideal locations to get this achievement.

...Of Epic Proportions
Reach level 30!

This is only really doable in Mask of the Betrayer—or any other expansion pack (like Storm of Zehir)—that allows your character to reach level 30.

This achievement unlocks after you finalise your level 30 character sheet.

Note: don't stress about having to reach level 30 in Mask of the Betrayer—if you don't, you still get plenty of opportunity to earn more XP for your character in Storm of Zehir if you export him/her at the end of the game in the Soul area after defeating Akachi.

Wall of the Faithless
Complete Mask of the Betrayer

Finish the Mask of the Betrayer expansion pack to unlock this achievement.

Mask of the Betrayer — Hidden Achievements

Spirit Bearer
Devour Okku's spirit

Towards the end of Act I—you must choose between either resisting the temptation to devour Okku's spirit or devour Okku's spirit. Choose the latter option for this achievement to unlock.

Faithful
Side with the Crusade

At the start of Act III—during the parley outside the Supplicants' Gate—side with the Crusade against the City of Judgement to unlock this achievement.

Faithless
Side with the City of Judgment

At the start of Act III—during the parley outside the Supplicants' Gate—side with the City of Judgement against the Crusade to unlock this achievement.

Akachi Remembers
Make Akachi remember who he was

This requires initiating the good/neutral ending for the game.

During Act III—at the end of the game in the Soul area—choose to use the Mask of the Betrayer and reunite Akachi with his past to unlock this achievement.

All About Me!
Kill Akachi

This requires initiating the neutral/selfish ending for the game.

During Act III—at the end of the game in the Soul area—choose to slay Akachi to unlock this achievement.

No Face, No Spirit
Devour Akachi's spirit

This requires initiating the evil ending for the game.

To unlock this option, you need to acquire Myrkul's Essence by devouring Myrkul's spirit at the end of Act II in the Boneyard. Make sure you choose to devour Myrkul's spirit with your own character—do not let One of Many do so for you.

During Act III, after performing this prerequisite—and before you use the portal to enter the Soul area—you now get the option to tell the Red Woman that you "devoured the essence of a god..." and that you can master the hunger.

When you defeat Akachi—make sure to choose the third option to "devour the Faceless Man... gorging upon his ruined soul"—unlocking this achievement in the process.

Storm of Zehir — Achievements

Silk Crossroads
Establish a trade route from each city

During the start of Act II, you will acquire the means to start up Trading Posts and construct Caravans in the Sword Coast.

I recommend going for this achievement (or Expert Merchant) first—for it delivers a very big bonus for the accumulation of your Trade Bars—which is very useful for unlocking the Honest Work and the Good Company achievements.

To unlock this achievement, start up a Trading Post and Caravan(s) with Neverwinter, Leilon, Conyberry, New Leaf, Highcliff, Phandalin, Thundertree, Port Llast, and West Harbor. As an aside: Neverwinter, Port Llast, and West Harbor require the completion of particular quests before you can establish Trading Posts in these areas.

Make sure to visit your Merchant Headquarters in Crossroad Keep periodically to speak to Variel for obtaining your share of the Trade Bars that the merchant company actively accumulates over time. The more Caravans you construct—the more Trade Bars your character receives.

Good Company
Get all the merchant company and caravan upgrades at Crossroad Keep

During Act II, visit the Merchant Headquarters in Crossroad Keep and speak to Variel for 5 separate quests to upgrade the merchant company. Complete these five quests.

Outside the Merchant Headquarters in the Crossroad Keep Courtyard you can speak to Caravan Master O'Dell to construct Caravans for all of the Trading Post locations in the Sword Coast: Neverwinter, Leilon, Conyberry, New Leaf, Highcliff, Phandalin, Thundertree, Port Llast, and West Harbor. Neverwinter, Port Llast, and West Harbor.

You need to go through and max out the caravan upgrades for all of the Caravans you have constructed—which requires a fair amount of gold to accomplish.

Expert Merchant
Buy a resource for the lowest price and sell it for the highest

In Act II, you can trade with Phandalin to purchase Skins for 1 Trade Bar (per one) and then trade with Highcliff to sell these Skins for 5 Trade Bars (per one). Doing this unlocks the achievement. There are numerous ways to unlock this achievement, but this is likely the cheapest and simplest.

Honest Work
Reach the directorship in any organization

In Act II, you need to choose to join one of the three cartels in Neverwinter's Temple of Waukeen. After you progress and essentially complete Act II by finishing its entire main quest line—with the final quest being Conyberry - The Meeting—you will be able to acquire the directorship of the organisation from the cartel representative that you had chosen earlier.

End of the Shadovar?
Complete Storm of Zehir

Finish the Storm of Zehir expansion pack to unlock this achievement.

Mysteries of Westgate — Achievements

Rinara's Fortune
Complete Rinara's quest line

Your character recruits Rinara at the start of the game. Shortly after you and her are confronted by Fulgrim outside the Black Eye Tavern. After this cutscene—you receive the quest Rinara's Fortune.

Later in the game you receive a quest called Finding a Ship from Pentical Bleth. During this quest, you need to talk to Captain Merrig—who requires 40,000 gold.

Upon your next visit to Westgate's Arena District, Rinara offers a solution to get 1000 gold which involves entering into her own stash at the Vhammos family mausoleum.

Reach the Sarcophagus at the end of the crypt and finish the quest. Then, leave the crypt and deal with Viglor and the two other Night Mask Thugs. The achievement unlocks after finishing this event.

The Fate of Mantides
Complete Mantides' quest line

Your character recruits Mantides during a potential bar brawl inside the Black Eye Tavern, which is located in Westgate's Harbor Loop. During your intial encounter with Mantides, you receive the quest The Fate of Mantides.

After completing the achievement quest line for Not Ebony or Not Ivory—you receive the opportunity to talk to Pentical Bleth in The Tower located in the middle of the Market Triangle.

When you step next outside The Tower, Mazzar Devali offers to you The Quivering Thumb quest. Accept this quest, proceed to the Arena District and head to the Quivering Thumb Arena to talk to Benevolent Kalim about participating in the arena.

After completing your first battle—a cutscene transpires and Dorn ends up fighting Mantides in the arena. Once their fight scene elapses—choose to have Mantides spare Dorn (good option) or kill Dorn (evil option).

This allows you to choose whether Mantides regains his Paladinhood (good option), remains a fighter (neutral option), or becomes a Champion of Shar (evil option). Choose the latter option if you want Mantides to turn evil and remain your ally after you choose to become a vampire later on. After completing one of these options—this achievement unlocks.

The Tyrran Enclave
Complete Charissa's quest line

Your character recruits Charissa when entering into the Morningstar Haven located in Westgate's Arena District.

After finishing the quest Investigating the Dark Dahlia—Seeker Tarmesh can be found in Westgate's Harbor Loop (if you have Charissa in your party).

Accept Seeker Tarmesh's invitation to travel immediately to Brother Edens' Shrine in the Arena District and agree to assist Charissa—thus acquiring The Tyrran Enclave quest.

Raid the Thayan Compound in the Harbor Loop. Once the raid is complete—return to Brother Edens' Shrine and finish the quest to unlock this achievement.

Another Mystery Solved
Complete Mysteries of Westgate

Finish the Mysteries of Westgate expansion pack to unlock this achievement.

Mysteries of Westgate — Hidden Achievements

Not Ebony
Complete the Church of Lathander quests

At the start of the game—you receive the option to join the Church of Lathander or the Ebon Claws. For this achievement, join the Church of Lathander by talking to Obid Teltas at the Morningstar Haven located in Westgate's Arena District. This achievement unlocks when you complete the final quest entitled The Church of Lathander.

Not Ivory
Complete the Ebon Claws quests

At the start of the game—you receive the option to join the Church of Lathander or the Ebon Claws. For this achievement, join the Ebon Claws by entering the Sewer Entrance in Westgate's Harbor Loop, proceeding through the Sewer to the Ebon Claw Hideout, and then start talking to Altama. Completing the final quest—Golden Statue of Lathander—unlocks this achievement.

Best of the Best
Become a Champion of the Arena

See The Fate of Mantides achievement before commencing this achievement.
To unlock this achievement, you need to defeat all the competitors in both the Individual Competitions (talk to Benevolent Kalim) and the Group Competitions (talk to Dutiful Azram).

The final competitor in the Individual Competition is the Twilight Knight—and the final competitors in the Group Competition are the Dukes of Daggerford.

Very Well!
Become a vampire

This achievement involves initiating the evil ending of the Mysteries of Westgate. You must finish the main quest Descent into Darkness in the Catacombs underneath the Brother Tobias Winery.

At the end of the Catacombs area—you find an Altar that requires Vampire Dust from the close by Latasha's Sarchophagus, and a Sacrificial Dagger from Kreed's Sarchophagus. Once you use the Vampire Dust on the Altar, you must complete two riddles.

The answer to the first riddle is 'G,A,R,L,I,C' and the answer to the subsequent riddle is 'S,U,N,L,I,G,H,T'. After finishing these two riddles, your character uses the Sacrificial Dagger to open a Portal—your character will now be able to enter the Portal and be transported to Orbakh’s Inner Sanctum.

Now you can talk to Orbakh, agree to join his organisation and accept "the blessing of vampirism" from him by saying "4. Very well..." (hence the title of this achievement) and subsequently "1. I accept." Your decision to join Orbakh results in your companions turning on you (except Mantides—if you turned him into an evil Champion of Shar).

After your victory against your companions, talk to Orbakh about the transformation and select "1. I am ready." to unlock this achievement.

Character Build — Tips & Suggestions
I have put some thought into what character builds may prove most expedient for attaining all of the achievements in a single playthrough (with some necessary reloads here and there for certain achievements that require particular events to happen).

Look below for a subsection on a Superman/Superwoman build—for anyone who wants to blitz (fly through) the game—and for those who desire a character build which provides them with a huge advantage in acquiring all of the achievements.

An explanation of effective character builds for the purpose of unlocking achievements.
Here I want to list useful tips and suggestions that can help guide your decision-making process when planning out your own character build that will also make for an efficacious achievement unlocking experience.
  • Make a character with any Evil alignment (or shift your alignment to Evil during your gameplay). Certain achievements require that you take the evil route—and your alignment may or may not affect which choices your character can make during dialogue sequences.

  • Make a character with at least Intelligence 14 (+2) or more. A higher Intelligence attribute/ability score gives you more skill points to spend—among other bonuses—like unlocking particular dialogue options that require a certain level of Intelligence.

  • Consider acquiring the 'Able Learner' feat when leveling up early on—so that you can invest in cross-class skills with no irregular point cost.

  • Put points into Craft Armor, Craft Weapon, and Craft Alchemy for the Upgrades, People, Upgrades achievement (see Official Campaign — Hidden Achievements above for further details. Your Intelligence modifier (+1 or more) improves your usage of these two skills (by +1 or more).

  • Put points into the Lore skill. Having a high Lore skill check is useful for expanding your dialogue options and gaining influence with certain companions. Your Intelligence modifier (+1 or more) contribute to your Lore as well. Keep equipment and rings like 'Ring of Insight' (+5 Lore) handy in your inventory for potential the Lore dialogue options. It is also useful for identifying items and selling them.

Character Build — Superman
If you want to blitz (fly through) the entire game—and unlock all of the achievements—below is a robust Superman/Superwoman character build that should prove helpful (especially with the aim of acquiring all of the achievements). Before doing anything else—make sure to open Options in the Main Menu and click on the 'Gameplay' tab to change the 'Level of Difficulty' slider to 'D&D Hardcore Rules'. If you are looking for a harder time, select 'Very Difficult' instead. You need to do this for the very first achievement listed in this guide—Neverwinter Knight.

In the Main Menu, select 'New Game' and then select 'Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer'. Click on 'Create Character'.

Select your Race as 'Yuan-ti Pureblood' (for +2 Dexterity, +2 Intelligence, +2 Charisma, +1 AC, 'Spell Resistant' feat, 'Alertness' feat, 'Blind-Fight' feat, and more).

After modifying your Appearance—select 'Monk' as your Class.

For Alignment—choose 'Lawful Evil' (your Superman/Superwoman build needs to be built for a few necessary Injustice timelines). Select any Deity or choose No Deity. For purely thematic reasons (in Mask of the Betrayer)—you may want to choose Kelemvor as your Deity.

For Abilities (Ability Scores / Attributes)—we are going to want to diversify our portfolio:
Strength 16 (+3)
Dexterity 16 (+3)
Constitution 16 (+3)
Intelligence 14 (+2)
Wisdom 10 (+0)
Charisma 10 (+0)

Select 'Tale Teller' (+1 Lore, +1 Bluff, -2 Concentration) as your Background trait.

For Packages—select 'Customize'.

Level 1—Hide +4, Listen +4, Lore +4, Move Silently +4, Spot +4, Tumble +4
For Available Feats—scroll to the bottom and select 'Luck of Heroes' (for a +1 bonus on all saving throws as well as a +1 luck bonus to AC).

If you choose the 'Create Character' option for Mask of the Betrayer—your character is sent to a Lobby room. Upon entering the Lobby—choose the option that lets you manually level up your character.

Level 2—Hide +1, Listen +1, Lore +1, Move Silently +1, Spot +1, Tumble +1.

Select your Race as 'Gray Orc' (+2 Strength, -2 Intelligence, +2 Wisdom, -2 Charisma).

After modifying your Appearance—select 'Cleric' as your Class.

For Alignment—choose 'Chaotic Evil' (very fitting for Bizarro). Select any Deity or choose No Deity. For the Bizarro, I go with Malar.

Put all Epic Feats into Epic Strength.

Tips for XP, Gold & Influence
  • Quick save (F12 by default) before all interactions/dialogues to ensure you maximise the influence, gold and/or XP that can be gained. Reload if you are unhappy with the direction taken—whether in influence, gold or XP gained—and see if a selecting a different set of options better suits your goals. To enhance your dialogue options throughout the game—invest in stats such as: Charisma, Intelligence, Wisdom, Lore, Diplomacy, Bluff, Intimidation and Taunt.

  • Every time you level up—make a saved game file with the name of that particular level up (e.g. Lvl 1, Lvl 2, &c.)—before making any changes to your level. This helps you later on if you ever decide to retrace your steps to choose a different character build. Additionally, you are more likely to have a saved game that corresponds well with any missed achievements.

  • Keep at least one companion active on your team with a high Strength attribute at all times. This character can serve as your pack mule—very handy for selling items and gaining gold. Additionally, having a Rogue on your team for disabling traps and unlocking chests is a good idea for maximising item & gold gains. Invest in your character's Charisma, Appraise and Lore stats for maximising gold gains when selling to merchants (these stats also help reduce gold prices when buying items from merchants as well).

  • Wipe out all enemies whenever you get the chance to. Every creature slain contributes towards your total XP and thus make for a higher level during the endgame phase. Note: try to get the final hit on enemies when NPCs (who are not in your party) are attacking enemies. Otherwise, your party may not earn the XP for those kills. There are certain targets that are better dealt with through questing and/or with dialogue, as they provide more XP this way. Kristel (the giant Spider found in the Glowstone Caverns of the Official Campaign) is a good example of this—you get far less XP by slaying him (a little more than 200 XP) than if you decide to feed him an Insect Collection and let him join your party (1000 XP).

  • Every time you pick up a new quest—especially a side quest—search up a guide online to see how it is completed. Don't leave room for guessing if you have no clue on how to do it, you could be missing out on a fair bit of XP and/or influence with particular companions. Make sure you check your journal periodically throughout your gameplay to remind yourself of which quests need to be completed and handed in.
Tips for Avoiding Bugs & Crashes
  • Casting too many spells (especially AOE spells) at once—whether it be your own party or the enemy—may make the game crash more frequently.

  • Major Bug Warning for the Official Campaign
When you travel to the Ruin of Arvahn for The Statues of Purification quest, make sure you do not enter the Temple of Seasons before interacting with the first Purification Statue located nearby the World Map (i.e. the outside entrance).
If you enter the Temple of Seasons before performing this interaction with the Purification statue outside, you might end up with a bug that leaves you unable to have the needed dialogue cutscene with the Purification Statue inside the Temple of Seasons. If your game gets this bug—you either have to reload to a prior save or employ some other workaround.

  • If anyone encounters any possible bugs and/or things that make the game crash—please comment them and I'll add it to this list. Always better to know about these pitfalls before they transpire.
Tips for the Official Campaign
  • Whenever you encounter a new vein of Ore in any of the cavern areas—make sure to click on them—your interaction with a new vein of Ore earns 50 XP each time. There is a total of 16 locations where the veins of Ore can be found throughout Act I, Act II, & Act III.

  • Talk to Retta Starling during Act I after the battle in West Harbor to pick up a quest entitled A Soldier's Story. In Act II—after defeating Lorne in the duel for the Ember trial—travel back to West Harbor and redeem the quest by talking to Retta Starling. This yields 500 XP.

  • Feed Kristel (the giant Spider found in the Glowstone Caverns) an Insect Collection (which is an item you can pick up after eliminating the two Werewolf Gnomes in Duskwood's cave). After feeding him, let Kristel join your party for a bonus of 1000 XP.

  • After gaining access to Neverwinter City's Blacklake, go into the Church of Lathander to pick up the quest Natrisse's Request from Dawnbringer Natrisse. Travel back to West Harbor and talk to Brother Merring to hand in the quest for 1500 XP.

  • To maximise XP at Riverguard Keep—do not kill the bugbears you encounter for the first time. Instead, allow them to leave. Upon exiting this Keep you will now have a larger mob to wipe out for additional XP.

  • To maximise XP in Riverguard Keep's Second Level—clear out the area of enemies before unleashing Ribsmasher for the 100XP bonus.

  • In Act III—after you have paid Master Veedle to rebuild the church—you can enter into the church and receive a quest called Atonement (this might only apply for evil aligned characters). Complete this quest by slaying the Red Dragon and then return to the priest at the Keep's church for 1000 XP.
Tips for Mask of the Betrayer
  • During Act I in the Middle Barrow. Bash and destroy the Bear skeleton to unseal the passageway. This quest action spawns multiple enemies—which helps to maximise your XP gains. This action does, however, shift your alignment to +1 Chaotic.

  • During Act II and beyond—make ample use of the pause button. In-game time diminishes your character's Spirit Energy bar, and this has numerous adverse consequences.
Tips for Mysteries of Westgate
  • In the Catacombs area, you will find an Altar that requires Vampire Dust from the close by Latasha's Sarchophagus, and a Sacrificial Dagger from Kneed's Sarchophagus. Once you use the Vampire Dust on the Altar, you need to complete a riddle. The answer to the first riddle is 'G,A,R,L,I,C' and the answer to the subsequent riddle is 'S,U,N,L,I,G,H,T'. After finishing these two riddles, your character uses the Sacrificial Dagger to open a Portal.

Thank you for these insights :neverwintereye::diplomacy:

Going back to the Neverwinter Knight achievement, I was checking my save files trying to figure out how the game is supposed to determine when to unlock it. I discovered that each save has a "global" file, and in it, there's a string called "MinimalDifficultyLevel". In all my saves, its value is set to "4". It seems the trigger for the achievement is when this parameter is set to “3” or “4” in all final saves. But that's, of course, just a hypothesis.

I actually had some weirdness with other achievements too. I got the Good Company achievement in SoZ after just one upgrade, about 10 minutes later while I was traveling on the world map. Upgrade Construct achievement also didn't register immediately; it popped only after I left the Keep and went to the world map.

Upd: I finally got the Neverwinter Knight achievement after all. I had kept save files at the end of each campaign, and I loaded them one by one and played through to the credits. The achievement popped during the final dialogue with Sa’Sani in SoZ.

It seems the Neverwinter Knight achievement is a bit bugged. I've just finished the last DLC (MoW). I played all the campaigns on the Very Hard difficulty. Honestly, I had a feeling it would be broken because there's no way to track its progress.

also, you can try stacking the gnome bard's song that gives you a bonus to your skills ( inspire competence i believe ) that with the gloves (that give you the bonus to those craft skills), potion ( or ring ) of INT, and greater heroism and even a half orc barbarian can upgrade the golem
BrandMang 8 月 12 日 下午 4:37
for the upgrades achievement you only need 15 in the 3 craft skills required, although for me i had to use my main char, luckily i already had high INT from the thief build i had so with a greater heroism spell and the gloves that give you that +6 or so bonus to all the craft skills easy peasy

That's strange, when I did the upgrade using Sand—the achievement unlocked. I will make a note of it. Thanks!

For the "Upgrades, People, Upgrades" achievement, your own character needs to have high points in all three skills.
I played a character who only had high points in craft weapon and armor and I let Sand do the alchemy upgrade, but I didn't get the achievement.
I had to rebuild my character and give them high alchemy points to get the achievement.
