Step 1. Link your email to your game account.

Step 2. Go onto the Seasun website and login to your account. If you play on Steam login with Steam, if you play on Gamepass, login with Gamepass: https://account.amazingseasun.com/en/#/sign-in?redirect=%23%2Fmy-settings. THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT THAT LOGIN WITH THE RIGHT ACCOUNT, (reversible) DATA LOSS CAN HAPPEN.

Step 3. Link your email here if it is not linked. You should see that either Steam or Gamepass is linked, depending on which one you logged in with.

Step 4. Now if you are a Steam player, you'll want to link your Gamepass account, and you can do that here. And vice versa. You should end up with an account that has both Steam and Gamepass linked.

If you get an error saying that the account is already linked, then you need to login to the other account, link an email, and then unlink your Xbox/Steam from that account first.

For example, if you're a Steam player, and you're trying to link your Xbox account, and it says it's already linked. You'll need to login with the Xbox account, link an email, unlink the Xbox account. Then log back in with Steam, then try again.

Step 5. Now go into the Xbox app on Windows, and you need to download and install Mecha Break separately. When you launch the game, you should be logged into the same account as your steam, and you'll earn the rewards in the mail. You can now uninstall the Xbox version of the game. Make sure you play the Gamepass version of the game, the app gives you the ability to just launch the game through Steam but that doesn't count.

Troubleshooting:

When I did this originally, I followed a commenter's steps and messed up my account. I unlinked my Steam account from my Seasun account, and linked it to a separate account with my Gamepass linked. This caused me to lose all my progress when I logged in with Steam again.

This process is fortunately reversible. I just unlinked my Steam account from the Gamepass account, and linked it back again to the first account. Just remember that the original account and email you had linked to Steam is your main game account and holds all your progress.
