First, find the Wickland.exe executable file. Usually located inside of your Steam installation directory such as:

C:\Steam\client\SteamApps\common\Wickland\Binaries\Win32\Wickland.exe

Create a shortcut to this app on your desktop or wherever you'd like it, and then right click on it and choose "properties". You will then modify the shortcut's Target to specify things such as the starting map, the type of game to play (1v1 Duel or FFA Warmup), and the port to connect to.

This shortcut below loads the WLD-IxiJail map first, and will load a warmup FFA server.

C:\Steam\client\SteamApps\common\Wickland\Binaries\Win32\Wickland.exe server WLD-IxiJail?game=UDKWickland.UDKWicklandGameWarmup?MyIP=192.168.1.71?MyPort=7777 -log Port=7777

The MyIP parameter is not required as it will auto-detect your computer's internal IP address, however if you are having trouble, try assigning your computers internal IP address as shown in the example above. Make sure you specify a port such as port 7777. Set both MyPort and Port to the same value. You will need this port when connecting clients in the next step. Press the Okay button to save these changes to your shortcut. Now simply launch this shortcut and your LAN server will be running.

PS - We do not fully support 1v1 duel servers at this time.

Now that your LAN server is setup, connecting is easy. Open Wickland as you normally would via Steam.

Once opened, press the backtick\tilde button (~) at the top left of the keyboard and this will open the console menu. Type in:

open 192.168.1.71:7777

Press the Enter key and it should instantly connect you to your local server. (Notice how this IP and Port match the ones specified in the server launch command shortcut.)
