POLARIS - Flying Firestation

"Built in 1963, the Boing 577 "Snipper" was a reliable heavy flying boat platform, built for a variety of tasks including passenger transport, cargo, search and rescue, and firefighting. The most famous example being the POLARIS, nicknamed "The Flying Firestation". This model has been built to handle the toughest to reach fire emergencies with its water bombing capabilities, as well as aiding in SAR operations, all while having a live-aboard crew and facilities for recreation, machining, cooking, and more."

1. turn on main battery key
   
2. turn on magnetos 1-4
   
3. turn on coolant and fuel pumps and blower power
   
4. turn on starters 1-4
   
5. release parking brake
   
6. prop pitch to 1
   
7. throttle up and pull out of hangar
   
8. unfold wings with key on left console
   
9. take off
   
10. turn off starters

Throttle down to 0.3 for landings
lower the propeller pitch to reach max speed (keep an eye on engine temps)
Open water intakes while landed to refill the water tank
For small fires in the water, there is a firefighting hose and water port on each sponson
Steering/differential thrust on land and water is controlled by the a/d keys
