How to fix missing textures issue
This guide is to know how to fix the issue that are missing half life 2 textures.

How do I fix this issue?

To fix this missing texture issue, you must have to firstly launch up Garry's mod, then after you have got onto your main menu, you then click on Addons.

Once you are on the Addons section, you then have to click "Disable all" which should be located on the top left hand side of the Addon screen.

Try out the single player, and then spawn the item you are having missing textures with, it should show up the texture.

How to prevent this issue?

The main fix for this problem with missing textures is due to too many addons or some addons enabled causing your game to have issues reading the main half life 2 textures. but to use addons within Garry's mod, you must only enable certain amount of addons in order to prevent the issue of the missing textures.

Any other issue?

If you do have issue on it showing missing textures after you join a server, make sure to check your options and then multiplayer tab, go to the bottom where it says "When a game server tries to download custom content to your computer" Select the option 'Allow all custom files from Server'. to enable all the missing textures that ain't appearing whn you join that server.

bro WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO. i tried this. didnt work. so i decided to spawn in my mod npcs and guess what. NOW THE BULLET HOLES TURN INTO MISSING TEXTURES. whoever the hell you are deserves worst then a ban

I have a weird one.. so Ill be playing on a map, no issues whatsoever. I go to load some models from the Addons drop down and randomly BOOM! I get the pink everywhere, but only on textures that have reflective surfaces, nowhere else. It seems really to only do it once I've been playing for a little bit in a map, and when I load a larger set of models say idk 80+ maybe. Anyone ever run into this? And or have someway to resolve it, I really hate having to leave the game and re-load the map.

Would the textures be there if I own the game the textures belong to or would I have to download them of a website

currently in the process of uninstalling maps I barely use, hopefully that may help, I hate to uninstall mods, especially ones I enjoy using or keep for the hell of it

It should somewhat fix the issue if your with too many addons installed, because I found this sort of issue when I had like over 500 addons for example and i started to see texture issues for half life 2 items, where I already got half life 2 already installed and mounted etc. I then started to remove a certain number of addons and then when restarting the game, the textures then worked for the half life 2 props.
