Technical side of the question
The vast majority of subjects have 2 indicators in their parameters: ReinforceTypeID and ReinforceShopCategory.

The second indicator is responsible for which archetype an item belongs to, of which there are 4 in total:

0 - no upgrade (this includes arrows, bolts, metal items, and reusable items)
1 - the vast majority of active items, except for the following
2 - staffs
3 - holy seals

The first indicator determines the type of enhancement an item belongs to, and items with different affinity (Holy, Poison, Flame, etc.) belong to other IDs.



How to understand these values?

It's quite simple:
  • Level - literally indicates the level of the weapon
  • Base attack - this is NOT about the base attack value that is visible in the game, but about the hidden BaseAtk parameter, which most often comes into play when using Ash of War (especially those whose attack involves and/or does not involve the use of weapons as such, for example, bullets or AoE)
  • Damage - this is about the base damage value that you can see in the game
  • Correction - this is how much the bonus damage depends on a particular player stat (Strength, Dexterity, etc.)

The following parameters are also provided, but will not be included in this guide (with certain exceptions):

    staminaAtkRate
    The multiplier of damage that the weapon will inflict on the enemy's stamina.
    The thing is, this mechanic ONLY works when the enemy tries to block a hit (usually with a shield).
    With the exception of knights, you will hardly ever encounter this mechanic in PvE.
    reinforcePriceRate
    The multiplier for the cost of the next upgrade based on the number of runes.
    I'm sure it will be more difficult for you to find the right stones for upgrading than to find a certain number of runes.

Base Attack
In this case, anything that can be upgraded can be divided into two groups:
  • those that can be upgraded up to +25
  • those that can be upgraded up to +10

In both cases, the BaseAtkRate value starts at 1 and ends at 4, and their gradation is as uniform as possible throughout the entire item upgrade.

  • +25 — +0,12 per level
  • +10 — +0,3 per level
Damage
In all upgrades (both +10 and +25), the damage multiplier for all attributes, such as Physical, Magic, Fire, Lightning, or Holy, starts with one value and ends with a higher value.

That is, the damage multiplier between physical, magic, fire, lightning, or holy damage will not differ between all +0 and maximum levels.

Their progression is also as straightforward as possible.

Affinity
All weapons that can be upgraded to +25 belong to the Standard category (0).
Shields belong to their own category, depending on their type (8000, 8100, 8200).

However, the above-mentioned items in terms of sharpening (Affinity) can be divided into 3 categories:
  • Normal Affinity
  • Heavy Special
  • Keen Special

Under the condition of “normal affinity,” all alternative versions of weapons belong to a predefined archetype:
  • 100 — Heavy
  • 200 — Keen
  • 300 — Quality
  • 400 — Fire
  • 500 — Flame Art
  • 600 — Lightning
  • 700 — Sacred
  • 800 — Magic
  • 900 — Cold
  • 1000 — Poison
  • 1100 — Blood
  • 1200 — Occult

For some weapons belonging to the “Heavy Special ” category, when using “Heavy” affinity, a different parameter will be used:

Damage negation
The vast majority of weapons have a defense multiplier against all types of damage at level 1 (i.e., it does not affect the damage received by the character when blocking with this item).
