While there are many guides on Valve's beloved platform Steam™ I believe there's a lack of guides on creating guides. While a simple task, this is no easy feat and i hope to encourage at least a few endeavors into this process.

First

Choose what topic you want to base the guide on.

Second

Provide basic guide information, ie. title, branding image, language, category, and an eye catching description about the topic.

Third

Start formatting your sections. This step can be daunting but it is the most important part. Focus on separating ideas or themes in these sections. It's a great idea to approach these with workflow in mind, it can take a while for you to fully format these sections.

Fourth

Add reference images and videos that help provide a visual aide for the guide. (Too lazy sorry)

Fifth

Add contributors if any.

Sixth

Format your conclusion.

Seventh

Reference the preview tab and decide what edits need to be made.

Eighth

Publish!

Though difficult, the task of becoming the 5th guide is more than achievable. I'm hoping this helps and you too have placed yourself in the annals of Steam's history. -Dharma
